We booked an inside guarantee a long time ago, sailing Sept 30, Pacific Coastal. This is an add on to our Sept 7th Alaska cruise, in a balcony. Have not yet received the cabin allocation. The ship, Regatta is fully booked. Of course we are very curious where we will end up. Just hope for mid ship, Inside is fine. For those who had guarantees, what did you end up getting?

Makes it very difficult to do private tours. I have given up because of so many reasons and so many unknowns.

We benefitted with the Extraordinary sale, for two cruises we are doing in sept, alaska and pacific coast. A very nice reduction in price. None of our other 8 future cruises were part of the Sumer Sale and still have a great deal of availability. So we are hoping that maybe some may be included in the next one. If not, not a problem since by booking at opening prices, we are happy with it. I hear you when you say, one sale after another. Not a good look for O.

Yes I am definitely unaware of any of this. With over 50 cruises all over the world with celebrity, have never missed a port. Did private tours, never had to cancel. Only one with RCL, missed Nasau, got a goodies basked delivered to stateroom.

Thank you for your review. We travel O mainly for the food and hope it has not slipped too far. This January on the Riviera it was amazing, but I don't eat any shellfish. All up to who is the chef on board how staff interpret menus. Last year 20.days on marina, the desserts were incredible in Terrace , half way staff changed, it became awful and saved me a lot of calories. I have also noticed that O skips, shortens, misses more ports than any other line we have been on, without compensation. That is worrisome.

Yes doing flights with Celebrity was very easy, no deviation fees, very accommodating. Too bad cruising with Celebrity no longer appeals to us.

We are in a balcony for Alaska Sept 7 and a couple of months ago added a 7 day, Pacific coastal. Could only get an inside guarantee. Now the whole ship is waitlisted, even though O is still taking bookings. Eager to see what we will end up having but that may be right up to the time of boarding. Don't like the idea of having to pack and relocate but it is what it is.

Unfortunately none of our 10 future cruises are a part of the summer sale, maybe some will be included in a Labor day sale.

Thank you for sharing this. Booking on our own would not get us anywhere near the price O gave us, 149pp prem econ. There is nothing direct to bcn on the way there but AC does fly back direct to Toronto.

We have a cruise in Nov, a TA , bcn to Mia.. Have O air with prem econ...out of Toronto... Going 2 days earlier to allow for the craziness... Got prem econ with O at time of booking for 149pp... Waiting to hear from O, what kind of flights they are going to give us...doing this through a TA... Will post how it all shakes out for anyone interested.

I have said this many times on other sites. We were on the Viking Star in march/April. Will not sail V again. Food didn't compare to O, unless you were drinking all the time, then nothing mattered. Service was good. No incentive to do any activities. Nice ship, but they rarely opened the roof, even though very calm seas, hence the centre of ship and pool area very hot and muggy. Anyways, that's our opinion and those we met that were not liquored up.

will be on the regatta for 20 days in sept...looking forward to your review.... yes with todays flying being what it is, we dread it, especially to Europe took us a long time to recover from the last one...

we are 4 cruises away from having the gratuities as a perk from loyalty...until then, none of our TAs have given it to us as part of OCCAP program...and yes I have asked...seems they dont belong to the right consortia.

A dozen too many.. Love Viking for only two reasons, No kids and an amazing spa pool.
