  1. none of the 8 cruises we have booked on O, are on the sale....so no sale for us....
  2. One of our best cruises was on the tiny Insignia, will definitely sail on her again. The friendliness of staff and guests. The food was amazing, yes before covid.
  3. We are on it in Jan. Hope it will be done by then.
  4. Once we are on board, we walk around. Although we have been on the ships 3 times now. If luggage has arrived, we unpack. This time next week, we will be on our way to BAR for a transatlantic and only with carry on luggage as our airport is chaotic. On our roll call someone has a arranged a meet and greet at 5:30, thats always fun. We go and get some late lunch. Walk around on deck.
  5. thank you for posting it....earlier than I thought it would happen...
  6. not a single of our booked 8 cruises are on sale....humbug.....
  7. yes me too...I left my email just above... Pushka if you find out anything , please email me.....I will do the same...
  8. Problem solved. I was lucky to get an O rep that got management involved and between them were able to add the SBC to both my cruises. Now I know that it needs to be in the cruise account to be able to use it for tours.
  9. Could you please email me? johthomas100z@gmail.com yes it is johthomas100z@gmail.com
  10. could you please email me? johthomas100z at gmail dot com yes it is johthomas100z at gmail dot com
  11. This is our first time as well. You only got 252 CAD from them, but it is 250 US, for 22 days....for 14 days it is only 100. Well we will have to bring with us the confirmation in writing, or we will have a tough time getting it. Leaving on Nov 16, this wed, allowing 2 extra days to get there. Have been watching the planes at Pearson. They have been consistently late by 2 hours. Awful. Yeah a whole other topic.
  12. Yes we have that for other cruises where we got 300 OBC for booking within the 30 day rule, but NOTHING for the NCL shareholder benefit. The O rep says it is added only after you are on the ship. Thank you for your efforts, it is much appreciated. But as you can see, NCL is inconsistent in doing this. We will see if anyone else posts anything.
  13. Where does it appear in the account? IN the cart? We have nothing there. Tried to book a tour, says your cart is empty. I have the O letter and the TAs letter saying we have 250 but nothing in the account. O rep says , some SBCs only appear once you are ON the cruise. Seems this differs from client to client. Not consistent.
  14. where does it appear on the booked cruise? We have 250 for a cruise for Nov 19, next week and there is nothing in the account.....
  15. By the time we are on the ship, the tours we want may be gone. Then having the SBCs is not as useful. Paying for tours is the number one reason to have SBCs for us.
  16. Thank you, I now have my answer, but LHT said to talk to Destinations and reverse the charges for booked tours at home, use the SBCs instead of paying with Visa. Not sure how you would do that.
  17. I have booked them now. Will Destinations credit my Visa when I sub the SBCs for it?
  18. I think I have the answer to my own question. Not all SBCs are treated the same. The NCL , SBCs only appear once you are on the ship. Can be used only on the ship. By then the tours you wish to book may be gone. Too bad it is like that.
  19. So I have received notification from NCL that they have given me the OBCs, but I dont see it in my cruise account and therefore cant use it to secure tours. Whats to be done next? Yes talked to an O rep. They dont seem to know how to make that happen. They keep repeating to send in the form and add the reservation number of the cruise to apply it to. Done that but nothing in the account. Anyone know how to solve this?
  20. Yes all prior to final payment. Our TA would do nothing for us when the sale came around. Have now switched TAs.
  21. Will keep that in mind, cat has to be available....lol...thank you for the advice and the humour.....
  22. I thought this was very valuable advice...so copied and pasted it here, giving credit to the poster... Flatbush Flyer 15.4k January 27, 2014 Point Richmond CA #107 Posted Sunday at 09:30 PM No “power” needed. 1. Book Onboard (months prior to any future O holiday sale, which we know from experience will be coming). Of course, this would be harder if we’re talking about someone booking their first O cruise. However, it is possible to have a friend or family member do a “book onboard” for you 2. Transfer to TA during the allowable 30 day window). 3. When O sale happens, have TA exercise your original Book Onboard “lower price match guarantee” (if price is actually lower and there’s cabin availability). But, don’t forget to do the math on any changes in air/air credit $ and/or O Life perks.
  23. yes you made it clear... we will also be on board..but by then we will have turned it over to an on line agent..so it will have to be done through them, I would think....that makes it more complicated...but someone gave very good advice to use Os price guarantee....to rebook with the sale offerings... but there are experts here who are way more in tune with the workings of O, maybe they will offer some of their advice.... we are relatively new to O...have done over 50 with Celeb and finally called it quits...wish we had done it sooner as O has an amazing loyalty program....as soon as we hit 5 cruises with them, we will begin to reap the rewards of that program....
  24. I would think booking on board should have nothing to do with the sale, but you never know. Has anyone here ever booked on board during a sale?
  25. I know nothing at this point, but it is fun anticipating it. We have 4 cruises that could benefit from this sale, so I hope it is a good one. In the past several years it was an upgrade sale and not on all sailings.
