Any update re covid testing before the second week of a B2B
Arizona Wildcat replied to winelaw's topic in Celebrity Cruises
You need a Magic 8 ball. You literally will not know until after you board as things are constantly changing. Right now - No. In June??? -
Help please- Delta/Celebrity air changed my flights-
Arizona Wildcat replied to labdoggomom's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Not exactly. Delta changed the flight times. If before final payment you can cancel for no charge. If after you are at their mercy. Very important to read the fine print on tickets through Celebrity Air. Celebrity is not a travel agent, it is a consolidator. My tickets for next August with Alaska and American have had 3 and 8 changes since I purchased. Nothing I can do. -
Does Bermuda accept a certificate of recovery?
Arizona Wildcat replied to catspaw1's topic in Bermuda
The Bermuda website states they do not accept a certificate of recovery. Several others the same in the Caribbean. -
Options for Covid test pre=cruise
Arizona Wildcat replied to Nebr.cruiser's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Am not aware of anyone boarding with an unsupervised test. We are going to use the iHealth tests and a telehealth service that costs about $25. Would be surprised if you could board with an unsupervised test simply because it would be simple to substitute a test result either done by another individual or earlier. -
Quarantine - APEX TA & British Isles Cruises
Arizona Wildcat replied to suzyluvs2cruise's topic in Celebrity Cruises
We drove into Canada about 2 weeks ago. We were picked for testing at the border and told to test again 2 days later. Received a recorded call asking if we tested which I ignored. Later that day got another call. I told them we had tested again. -
Quarantine - APEX TA & British Isles Cruises
Arizona Wildcat replied to suzyluvs2cruise's topic in Celebrity Cruises
In Argentina or the Falklands you turn over your passport. Same with a Morocco port. Ditto in several countries. Suggest you ask before cruising -
When can I expect my cruise documents?
Arizona Wildcat replied to cruising sister's topic in Celebrity Cruises
As Jeylane said don't worry. You can check bags with your confirmation copy at the pier. Ditto for checking in. We have checked in using passports, invoice copy from Celebrity, covid card and filled in ARRIVECAN app. Faster than struggling with Celebrity online check in. -
The testing is very fluid as to requirements. In your situation I would probably forgo cruising. As for quarantine on board, usually 5 days - certainly not weeks. Knowing Italy - daughter Italian/US- getting an exemption would be difficult as Italy sets guidelines for exemptions then changes what is required to meet the guidelines. Plus all correspondence usually required to be in Italian. Only other thought is J&J is completely different from MRNA vaccines. Good luck.

Used to make 7-10 flights a week! Don't ask. Nothing lasted. Not even the aluminum shell cases. We use a middle priced ballistic nylon 29" bag and simply plan on it being damaged every year or two. Roller bag with 2 wheels - not spinners. The airlines destroy the handles. Travelling so much we use only 1 bag and a carryone each. We also paint a stripe on it as everything looks the same. Last, send Kathy or me an email regarding the Princess Panama Canal cruise. AZ underscore tchr at Yahoo dot com We decided to simply do our own thing with a couple others and would like to invite you to join us. Suda and Joss

If they are in Vancouver Canada they can simply drive to the US. Southwest flies out of Bellingham WA about 60 miles in the US.

Everyone is muddling through this. The ArriveCAN app has had 5 updates since April 1st! Every country sets their own rules. If you cruise today you need to be very very flexible.

Positive in Amsterdam after Apex TA
Arizona Wildcat replied to charlielinda's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Celebrity will provide up to $250 per day in expenses for the quarantine and "assist" with coordinating airline flights. If bought through Celebrity Air they cover all additional costs. Suggest you read their Covid policy. -
Cruisers on Eclipse 15 May 2022 Hubbard Glacier
Arizona Wildcat replied to Spartan Tartan's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Have done your cruise twice. The weather is likely to be good. If sunny Hubbard Glacier is an absolutely incredible picture postcard. -
Champagne at breakfast? Late night eats?
Arizona Wildcat replied to Notamegagirl's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Probably need to understand that the availability of Liquors, wine and beer is subject to supply constraints. Celebrity has several champagnes by the glass. As said the wine list is useless as many are out of stock and they will have others not on the old list. No bars or pubs open into the wee hours on Celebrity. By midnight or 1am most cruises are very quiet. Celebrity is not Carnival. -
All charges on Celebrity anywhere are billed in USD.

What is ArriveCan and do I need it?
Arizona Wildcat replied to samplecd02's topic in Celebrity Cruises
ArriveCAN app is simple. You need for any cruise that has a Canadian port or to cross the border. Fast and easy. Just know the app has changed 5 times since April 1st. Just use your phone. When we crossed the border it took under 1 minute ! About 5 minutes to download and complete the app. Checking in Seattle FYI are not going smoothly because people have not completed the ArriveCAN before checking in. -
That Apex was sailing with few passengers in January and full crew certainly helped. Today with lower crew numbers and higher passenger counts upgrades will be difficult to get.

If you have any breathing issues bring your nebulizer and a voltage converter. Pretty much everything you would require if your luggage goes missing for a couple days. Friends arrived in San Juan with only their passports and the clothes they wore. Took 3 days to get luggage to the ship. Now always bring a bit of clothing.

Drink Package.....and a fridge?
Arizona Wildcat replied to kjwinston2019's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Drinks and more appeared a while back and disappeared long ago. Again as said the mini bar is NOT covered by any drink package. The mini bar is a perk of the top suites -
Suggest you do a search on CC as this has been the subject of several threads. Am wondering why you would need a certificate of recovery to fly home as you almost certainly would test negative. Also some countries and airlines will not accept a certificate of recovery, only a negative test.

The important thing here is MOST. One can fly to Iceland from the US without a covid test. But a test is required to fly to the US. If you are travelling outside your home country - I am outside the US now - you risk testing positive when flying. Prepare best you can, but take personal responsibility for what can happen. Jim tested positive despite taking precautions beyond those I would have taken.

On an Alaska cruise I wear a sports coat, nice slacks and a dress shirt. Maybe a tie. Wife black pants and a dressy top. Some will wear suits and formal dresses, but few. Think what you would wear to a really nice restaurant at home.

It is smoother and faster. The website has lots of glitches. We have given up after trying and failing a couple times using the website. The app has always worked.
