Yes. You are spending way too much mental energy and time on this. Sort it out on board. Just bring your documents and screenshots.

What has been the recent experience boarding in San Francisco?
Arizona Wildcat replied to pris993's topic in Princess Cruises
If you arrive before the terminal opens you will obviously wait. Seems a later arrival after the rush would make for shorter lines and a request for special assistance would provide an expedited boarding. If you are in the Green Lane boarding almost everywhere is just a few minutes. When I was dealing with an achilles tear a quick mention to port personnel gave us personal assistance. -
Sadly there social media attracts mostly negative comments. A small problem gets exaggerated and posted anonymously. Do those who had a great experience post about that? Not usually. They post about the drink.not made the way the prefer.

Leaving things out in your cabin is not a problem. Obviously put passports and cash in the safe but since every entry into a cabin is logged electronically not hard to figure out who if something goes missing. Leaving a $1000 phone on a towel by the pool? Can you say stupid? Similar to leaving your phone in a shopping cart at the grocery store and leaving the store.

Absolutely agree. If the policy for men is a coat and tie then that should be enforced. The issue is policies that are not clear or enforced. Then you have the situation where I ended up.in a leg cast. Was unable to get long pants over the cast. I was allowed only after agreeing to wear a tablecloth.

Does anyone have a wine list with prices? (Edge)
Arizona Wildcat replied to cArmenRob2's topic in Celebrity Cruises
And there will be many wines on the wine list that are - Not available because of supply issues. And others sourced locally that are additions to the wine list. -
Have had other beers available depending on availability and where you are cruising. Peroni, Crown, Sam Adams, Moosehead and others at times.

We had to show nothing to board a TA last summer that ported in Canada. Nobody asked to see anything. Canada required vaccinations AND testing at that time. The reality is the rule in Colombia is fully vaccinated or negative test. In most cases cruise lines are having passengers upload covid vax info so nothing needed at the port. The problem is - are you willing to risk being refused entry into Colombia if you are not vaccinated or have no copies of your covid cards? Just reporting what Colombia Health and US Embassy are reporting.

South America Testing Requirements for Boarding.
Arizona Wildcat replied to Reina del Mar's topic in Princess Cruises
The requirement is from Chile. Two things to remember are the requirements could change tomorrow and having a proctored test and not needing it is way better than not having it and being left at the pier. PROCTORED testing. You can use ANY government approved test. They are available free at most pharmacies with almost every insurance. You arrange a time and use you phone. There are several companies doing this. Trust me - it was easy. We did it using WIFI from rural Iceland. Cost about $20pp. -
Depends on how and when you booked. If before final payment contact your TA or call Celebrity. They can tell you the best way to do it. The best way depends on when you booked and if prices have changed. Purchasing after you board is likely to be more expensive. If after final.payment the same applies except Celebrity doesn't need to do anything. So ask nicely. Many TAs (FWIW a bit late today for this booking) offer a group rate that will include AI perks for a reduced or sail only fare.

EZ Air - Changing a flight time (same day)
Arizona Wildcat replied to always smiling's topic in Princess Cruises
Important to know all the rules. When you book with a consolidator, only the consolidator can change your ticket. After ticketing you are subject to BOTH the consolidator and the airline rules and fees. -
Princess raising prices of plus and premier packages
Arizona Wildcat replied to justafem's topic in Princess Cruises
Available for bookings made after December 14th for sailings after February 20th -
I called Princess. They sorted it out. Cruise is in 2 weeks. Still unable to book restaurants, no docs needed to print out. Princess emailed me a confirmation and said take that to the pier. Luggage tags and medallion are far less stress to pick up.at the pier. Just give Princess a call. They entered everything while I was on the call .

Small discount is higher tier in Captain's Club if purchased via phone call before boarding. Have never seen a discount on board.

We rented a car in Dawson. Had time to have lunch in Carcross, see all the scenery better than the train as it is mostly in the valley, drive to Dyea - the original town, visit the cemetery and see the whole town. Sourdough car rental. Like rent a wreck. Bring your passports. Tourism office can provide all the information you need.

No problem. Just follow the rules. Downtown busy just like any city. Commuters AM and PM to the military bases and city center.

Wondering with three or 4 outlets why one needs to plug in do many devices at the same time? DW and I are good with our iron, kettle and instant pot. The phones can wait till evening.

I wear a sports coat and kakhis. Occasionally a tie. I will be dressier than most, especially if I wear a tie. There will be others in nice blue jeans and t-shirts. Pretty much anything goes except shorts, ripped jeans and objectionable t-shirts. The longer the cruise, the older and dressier the cruisers.

Had similar confusion this summer when Celebrity set it up to search for cruises by the starting country. Problem was the country where we started was not listed. Their executive offices after several emails and calls said oops! Makes it hard when what the cruiseline says is either wrong or missing.
-
Let me try this again. Princess says vaccination or testing is NOT required for my voyage thru the Panama Canal on Emerald. This in not listed as an enhanced voyage. That was eliminated in October Other cruise lines are requiring all passengers to be vaccinated on cruises that stop in Colombia. The US Embassy in Bogota AND the Colombia Government websites both state unvaccinated persons require a negative covid test for entry. Vaccinated persons must have proof of vaccination - not an electronic copy.
-
Now 20 days till we board Emerald for Panama Canal cruise. Cartagena Colombia according to US Embassy and Colombian Government websites says proof of full vaccination or negative test required for entry. Celebrity and Roysl same. Princess say no vaccination or testing required. Is this part of the - you are responsible for knowing the rules for each country?

Had a similar issue when accounts were hacked. Can only offer the following. Always 2 cards with different banks and credit profile shut. I do not bank on line. Paper statements. Anything trip related is on Chase Sapphire when there is cancellation insurance and they could have coordinated covering real charges and stopped fake ones. They were great when it happened to us on a ship on the way to Italy for an extended stay overseas. Took 3 phone calls and they cleaned up the mess. My credit card number was copied at a restaurant and then evidently sold. I now walk my card to the register in the USA unless I know the people. Refunds for shore excursions will take weeks - sorry this happened

Lots of discussion in ports. A bus ride across Panama is about 2 hours. We found it very long. This thread describes the visitor centers well, but thread is 7 months old.

Absolutely. The helper who keeps things stocked is just as important as the one that serves you. Cannot imagine a crew working a bar would not pool their tips. I do know a few $$ to a server who works my handy bar gets me recognized and quickly served. How they share those tips is none of my business
