  1. ?????? Usually have some information. None provided here.
  2. Cruises are priced by supply and demand. Really simple. Think the prices are too high you have 3 choices. #1 Go ahead and book as you can cancell with little penalty for about 1 year. #2 Book with another cruiseline if you like their price better #3. Don't book at all. If enough do this the prices will drop. We have friends in the UK that use our address and TA and do indeed book with refundable deposits and multiple cruises.
  3. What age constitutes a kid? I know lots of 60+ that definitely act more like 12 year Olds. We are on a hiday sailing and I know of 8 multigenerational families. We will see.
  4. Email special needs or give Princess a call to arrange for everything to meet your needs. Suggest 2+ weeks before your cruise.
  5. Why are you worrying? Pick them up at the pier. Will take less time than your post. I found it took about 3 seconds to put my medallion in my pocket.
  6. Yes. It is very expedited with a passport. Just remember only an enhanced driver's license works.
  7. There has never been any glass allowed in the pools. Very clear and really hard to enforce as hard to tell glass and plastic sometimes. Insane delivering glass bottles to the hot tub. That is #1 stupid and #2 violates on board safety regulations. Should say something to guest relations.
  8. This is a great experience with two cautions. The ship is very crowded and the weather can be anything from sunny and calm to very rough. Rough weather will cancell the excursion. To see a glacier close up suggest EXIT GLACIER. It is about 10 miles north of Seward with a hike that is on a good trail. Family friendly. Also Kenai Fjords boat tour out of Seward is an all day tour leaving from Seward in the boat Basin. A don't miss. To do this spend a night in Seward before or after your cruise.
  9. You can link reservations in groups. The largest table is indeed 8. If you have a tables for 8 and 4 you can take any seat at those tables. While you can schedule on the app, in reality you will need to immediately go to the restaurant to get properly scheduled so your tables are adjacent and check on suggestions the maitre d might make.
  10. I don't need no stinkin passes. Will simply show up. Was told just have a confirmation and the app with green lane
  11. Great thread title. Celebrity actually has water in the pools, not alcohol.
  12. Discussed in several threads. Both IT problems that are more evident than usual and many changes. I use a TA to avoid dealing with the app or website.
  13. There are quiet spots on almost every deck from the lounge on 11 forward to several areas on decks 4 and 5. Have rarely found the lounge chairs around the pool fully occupied. Pretty much all public areas with seating area quiet unless an activity is scheduled.
  14. Most schedules show for many months ahead.
  15. There are multiple website issues. If I have gone to place a courtesy hold and then not completed the hold; the system locks me out for X hours as it assumes I have a hold in place. Any reason you are not simply calling your TA?
  16. Prizes have varied but only on the final round. Strategy is simply get enough points to move to the next round. Once there were top two and other time top 4.
  17. It is seamless. We put our suitcases on the bed and toss (not pack) bathroom and drawer stuff. Then go relax on or off ship.
  18. I gave up bothering. I arrive with the confirmation from my TA. OBC is not credited until I board so on day 2 or 3 when there is no line at guest relations I show them the copy and have any errors fixed. Gratuities and drink package have been missing over the years. Was all fine last cruise.
  19. Hard to say in Australia as their rules are both different and changing. If on a cruise from the US one usually has the choice as said above if negative with a positive cabin mate to move and mask or quarantine.
  20. No. The US State Department has the current requirements for visas. For EU countries - no visa is required for short stays. Just check each country you will visit. To check go to travel.state.gov The EU is getting ready for an ETA visa. Similar to that for Australia where you pay a few dollars and do it on line. CAREFUL to only book thru the foreign government website unless Russia or similar as the processing companies add huge fees. Companies charge up to $100 for processing a $20 ETA for Australia for example.
  21. Reported on several threads reporting Celebrity on line issues. Nothing new. Really suggest doing a Google search for Cruise Compete. Then call a couple companies responding.
  22. On our Celebrity cruise the other member was tested and if negative given a choice of moving to another cabin or quarantine. Have never heard of specialty restaurants being offered. Liquor, movies and internet yes.
  23. Thought lift and shift was gone. After final payment you are certainly subject to the terms of your contract. If you have CFAR insurance that can apply but even those have exceptions. If you could cancell and rebook 2 days before your cruise at no cost it would be chaos.
  24. Do not understand your post. Mexico abolished Daylight Savings Time in 2022. There are some border communities that can opt to follow the local time in the USA. Ciudad Juarez and Tijuana have done so but these do not effect cruising. The ship has observed local time in the past on West Coast cruises. Why would they change? FWIW Arizona got rid of DST about 60 years ago. Said it was to save the drive in theater business. I still think politicians could not figure out how to set their watches - forward? back?
  25. Have not seen it to be an issue. 3 or 4 lounges together- yes. But depends on port vs sea days, how many on board, weather and lots of other variables.
