Current dress code in Blu for dinner
Arizona Wildcat replied to warmwinds's topic in Celebrity Cruises
You need to remember there are "special" people on every cruise. They seem to go out of their way to challenge rules and guidelines of all sorts. One also needs to remember that a Caribbean cruise is likely to be more casual than one in the Mediterranean. Also that covid changed lots of behaviors such as the passengers in Blu on Summit who went on a rant about his wine service. -
As Jim already asked - How are you submitting your request? They handle them immediately on receipt and I have had credits applied in as little as an hour or had it take 3 days - never longer. Apply via email. Put RCCL shareholder OBC in the title line. Include your name, address, booking number, ship and cruise date in the body of the email. Take a photo of a broker statement showing you hold 100+ RCCL shares. Attach it to your email. Make sure the name matches. Nothing else. The shoreside concierge does not handle these. They only pass them on and it confuses things even more. Hope this helps. PS I received a credit for a cruise one YEAR in the future.

Excellent list. In our last 5 Celebrity cruises we have had 4 missed ports. 2 due to weather, 1 to a dockage issue and one a medical emergency. For all we were notified 24 hours or less before our planned stop. On private tours read the fine print. The tour operator sets the refund rules. In the past on a missed port they have varied from full to no refund. I am seeing many operators moving to a 10-20% non refundable booking fee.

Classic drink packages for people under 21?
Arizona Wildcat replied to choppe's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Different cruiselines have different rules. This rule has been the same on Celebrity for many many years and has not changed. Sadly information received from Celebrity via their website is often in error and sometimes contradictory or unclear. For example their mobile site has differences in Captain's Club benefits from the full site. We have received checkin details for cruises that Celebrity has cancelled weeks before. -
Weather is usually good, but certainly impossible to predict. You can get storms in any month any place.

What are you doing with unused Emed tests?
Arizona Wildcat replied to PKB's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Here in Arizona the country health departments are giving them out for free. Walgreens has on the shelf at under $7. -
What is your point? The webinar was professional, informative and 100% better that when Celebrity started doing them. Gives a few points towards the next loyalty level encourages watching. As one who has worked and had extended time in Alaska and the Yukon; this webinar was quite enjoyable.

Self serve alcohol in retreat lounge
Arizona Wildcat replied to Susanb10567's topic in Celebrity Cruises
The idea of self serve alcohol is interesting. Illegal in all 50 states unless at a private function or where underage persons are excluded. You can blame the parents, but maybe look back when you were 20 or 17 or? -
Rapid Test Trace for Covid testing pre cruise
Arizona Wildcat replied to itsanita's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Think you misunderstood that this is an old thread. Testing rules have changed on most cruises. Cruises over 9 days mostly require only that you test yourself then take a picture of the test strip. Pretty much the honor system. -
Designer jeans - restaurants and chic nights
Arizona Wildcat replied to socktaco's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Just no rips or tears sort of stuff. Reality is nobody cares much beyond shorts and t-shirts. DW and I wear sandals every night. Socks on chic nights. -
Celebrity Wants Covid Test 2 days before sailing? How?
Arizona Wildcat replied to smvthecpanj's topic in Celebrity Cruises
One more time - Celebrity will accept the results of ANY of the proctoring companies including OnPoint and Rapidtestandtrace.com (there are a few dozen more) using ANY covid test approved by ANY government. -
Cancellations or no shows on embarkation day?
Arizona Wildcat replied to letsgogogo's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Agree. The 8-10 cabins held for maintenance would not be released. There always will be people that miss a cruise due to airline issues and weather along with all sorts of personal situations. -
Yes it can be upgraded. Unless things changed only for the remainder of your cruise. It is slightly cheaper precruise. Details are on the website.

Celebrity Wants Covid Test 2 days before sailing? How?
Arizona Wildcat replied to smvthecpanj's topic in Celebrity Cruises
A valid and very real concern. Iceland went from over 75 testing sites in February to two by July. The proctored tests can be done from anywhere- even on an ✈️. -
Celebrity Wants Covid Test 2 days before sailing? How?
Arizona Wildcat replied to smvthecpanj's topic in Celebrity Cruises
There is a sticky at the top with lots of info. You can use a protoring service like OnPoint or Rapidtestandtrace.com that cost in the $15 area and use ANY government approved test including the free tests sent out in Canada and the US or virtually all tests sold at pharmacies all over the World. We tested from our hotel in Iceland. No waiting in line and inexpensive. -
Proctored Testing for a Trans Atlantic cruise
Arizona Wildcat replied to Orator's topic in Celebrity Cruises
For B2B cruisers Celebrity does cover the cost. For others there are free government tests and others that are about $10 you can buy. Proctoring is about $15. For a cruise that costs thousands of dollars . . . -
What are you doing with unused Emed tests?
Arizona Wildcat replied to PKB's topic in Celebrity Cruises
The expiry date is actually extended. Think now by one year. Easy to store as they are small. -
Proctored Testing for a Trans Atlantic cruise
Arizona Wildcat replied to Orator's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Your post is a bit confusing. Of course anyone can get covid. The vaccine simply has reduced severity of the disease. Won't discuss the rule as not allowed, but will state there were MANY cases reported on board Summit in August with many more ill passengers who did not report. The passengers who were ill and did not quarantine simply spread the virus to others. The rule is what it is. You either comply or don't cruise. Absolutely no difference between testing on a B2B than my flying to Iceland and testing there. -
How full are the ships sailing now?
Arizona Wildcat replied to wallysdtr's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Think most would call that full with the number of staff. -
WhatsApp Calling on the Edge in Europe
Arizona Wildcat replied to brookmill18's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Your Mom can call a USA number for free when connected to Wi-Fi. While on Summit from Iceland to Boston we called simply using the Surf (basic Wi-Fi) on board when near Iceland and again when we were a day out of Newfoundland. Obviously in port she can simply connect to the local phone system and make free outgoing calls, texts and use data on the net. Do remind her that incoming calls when outside North America are not free when using TMobile WI-FI. Strange but not expensive usually 10-20 cents a minute. We simply did not answer then called friends back. We found calling late until very early mornings worked best from the ship. Less usage. -
Starlink on Beyond, a disappointment.
Arizona Wildcat replied to Dk-cruiser's topic in Celebrity Cruises
The problem is Starlink and Elon. They have promised far more capacity than capability. Ukraine is using huge capacity. Some areas are better. -
Does anyone have the Wine list on the Equinox?
Arizona Wildcat replied to sinned19's topic in Celebrity Cruises
And there are some dozens of wines on board not on the winelist. You will actually find out when you get on board what is available. -
How much OBC should I have? What's normal?
Arizona Wildcat replied to zitsky's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Agree you are asking what the regulars think was a silly question. OBC from Celebrity varies from program to program as you well know. "Normal" is zero. Special sales are whatever they offer. Programs last anywhere from one day to a couple months then change. Am positive you know that.
