  1. Keith uses the Resmed 10 as well. His is set at 11 but is able to make adjustments if he wishes. It's pretty quiet. He's not been interested in getting a travel CPAP. He feels it's money not well spent.
  2. Agree with the dumping the water out. If you get a slight crust inside the humidifier chamber (this will NOT affect the machine) just put a little vinegar the chamber & wipe the inside with a paper towel.(let the paper towel get good & wet) Then rinse thoroughly with hot water & dy again with dry paper towel. My spouse uses the CPAP & I'm going by what he does if he can't get distilled water.
  3. I guess that would be "Glamping" in the extreme. I like the idea of that.
  4. Possibly the name & room mention is to gather info. on what accommodation you have. We normally dine as a couple because we prefer this option. We did find that within about 2 days they know us by name & our dining areas we like in the GDR(usually a window seat) We don't always get our first choice which is not a big deal. We did notice in 2022 we were in Concierge & they seemed to show a little more attention to us.We are in Concierge again & I'll see if there's any difference.
  5. Never seen political or religious decor. Usually always a group or anniversary/Reunion etc.
  6. Yes. It should have the same times as the MDR Only difference is you can dine anytime in the evening.
  7. Wow! Never seen any one do that on any line. How cheesy can one get?
  8. We have a Cabana Reserve on the Sun in 2025. We like the dining area & not really having to wait. Attention to detail is better as staff has less pax to serve. Food quality is nothing to write home about. Having a "special" meal being Spaghetti & Meatballs was not special. Hoping the new "Reserve" rest on the new Sun will offer much more. Obviously, cabin space is more & the bathrooms were always excellent. Nice not having a wet shower curtain stuck to your keister was much appreciated. As Thrack commented it's all subject to each pax desires. We like the space. Others may prefer a standard balcony & spend the extra saved money in the restaurants or perhaps on excursions.
  9. We had that problem last Jan. on the Riviera. They actually came down & put these spacers & it helped quite a bit. Kind of what you did with a pack of matches under a wobbly chair/table leg.
  10. We're also in a Concierge. One with the extended balcony. We never really had much problem with storing stuff & we DO pack a lot. One thing that may help is have the attendant store your luggage. We did that & it helped quite a bit.You also may request extra hangers which we did. We'll be on the 12 day trip right after yours. Hope you have fun.
  11. Remember the restart after the bug? If you didn't wash your hands you were frequently called out by staff as well as fellow pax.
  12. Perhaps the lines need to start banning pax who behave this way. First off ban the word "suggested". Some Pax seem to act like petulant children when they can't behave in a civilized manner & follow suggested rules & behaviors.
  13. Go to Youtube & watch videos on Oceania. It's pretty much nice shirts/slacks. You'll see a fair amount of sport coats but few ties. Usually pax kick it up a bit for the specialties. Most often Jacques/La Reserve. Again really very little more than that.. Shorts are not allowed in the rest. at night with the exception of Terrace.
  14. The simple thing to do is grow some "courage" & stake your claim. Remember YOU all paid for this cruise. Don't let the self entitled win. As "Maxine" once said: When someone treats you like lemons, don't make lemonade. Take a lemon wedge & squeeze it right in their eye.If you have to suffer, don't suffer alone LOL!
  15. Then reserve & hog them for the entire day?
  16. Then just leave the Apple there. If that doesn't get the message across. nothing will
  17. If this had been us, my spouse would have removed & turned it over to the pool staff. He can enjoy his music.. It's called ear buds.
  18. We love Jacques but are not upset that it is not on Vista/Allura. As I said in a past post, Oceania is probably trying new adventures & that's fine. Cunard had Todd English for several years & pax eventually got bored.
  19. Could be worse..We could be called competitive eaters.Culinary inclined works for us.
  20. Really check out Terrace some nights. The menu is surprisingly good at times. Most lines the "buffet" can be really boring. Not on O.
  21. The Maitre D apologised for her behavior & moved them to a different table. The Jacques staff wanted to seat us with the same couple (the first couple who clammed up) the second night. We said no. We were then seated at the large table in Jacques that night with far better results!
  22. If you get to NYC on occasion, check out Orsay.Orsay is a very nice(though not cheap) French Brasserie style rest. My spouse is from NJ.It's not always easy getting "Taylor Ham" up here in NH. LOL
  23. I would have to say that sharing a large table tends to be better, as most will love to talk about something. On that large table in Jacques a few years back we all discuss what we do. My spouse has a large catering co. with his brother. We discussed Dean Kamen( folks can google the name) & this one guy wanted to know all about him he actually switched seats with me to talk to Keith about Dean. It was a riot. His wife goes "I always become a dinner widow when this happens". We all had a great meal & a lot of fun. Still overall due to the few incidents, we prefer a table for 2. We now do Concierge level & we get to make the reservations earlier. We were not able to pull off Red Ginger, though. Don't fret. Anyone will be able to get their choice.Reservations bounce around a lot.We cancelled one last Jan. because we saw the menu in the GDR had some real favorites of ours. We went to the dining reservation desk & let them know our change.Someone, I'm sure got that 7PM spot we cancelled on.
