I'm hearing rumors of long beach port parking being messed up or limited? has anyone recently been through? any experience? Trying to prepare for my carnival miracle sailing in a week.

So the wife and I picked an early check in time a few days ago and something just came up to where we're most likely gonna be a bit late. It will still be well before 3 but not my designated time. Will this be an issue? Specifics are we chose a 10:30 check-in time but probably won't be there until noon.

I've heard stories of this being accepted. That's why I was so hopeful. Especially with all of the talk of the terminal workers will do whatever they can to get you on that boat. I have a feeling if I would have made it into the terminal with it, the cruise would have happened.

Hey every one. I'm really sorry that I never updated you on this situation. When it rains it pours. It was the perfect storm. So Monday morning I got my DMV appointment and was first in line the moment it opened. My number was a001. There was hope. They told me temp d.l. do not have a picture but the MOTORCYCLE PERMIT DOES! Luckily I actually had this permit a few years back so all I had to do was redo it. Took all of 5 minutes. When they gave it to me, the dang picture had a water mark on it saying this document cannot be used as a form of identification. Crap. I was still going to give it a shot but wanted a back up. That's when I remember that I got a real id in Georgia a long time ago that doesn't expire until 2025. Little bit of google-foo and I Google was saying the Georgia was the first of a couple states to do virtual IDs. SCORE....or so I thought. So apple wallet has not started using virtual IDs yet. BUT Georgia has a dds app that has something similar. But without a picture. I was hoping that I would be able to use everything I've collected, along with a picture of my id I found on my phone. My hopes were pretty high. I told the kids I think I figured it out and we were on our way to long Beach by 10. This is where it gets good. ALL of our boarding passes, birth certificates, my phone, etc. We're in the bottom of my son's stroller. At some point while we were all going to the bathroom before heading into the terminal, I'm assuming my back or my wife's back was turned and someone snagged all the stuff from the bottom of the stroller. All hopes and dreams went straight out the window. Without all that and everything on my phone, there was no hope. I just got my phone replaced and am just now wanting to talk about what happened. It was a shot to the gut but a lesson learned. Thank you all for your help and advice. 😇

You're absolutely right. Today is Sunday. I only live 2 hours from port and scheduled an appointment at the DMV Monday at 8 in the morning

I'm in California. Im not sure if we do. I know there was talk about it in May, but I don't know what ended up happening. I don't really see anything on the DMV website about it

So the story is, I don't have my ID as of yesterday, and we sail tomorrow. I just got off the phone with carnival, and they said that a temporary driver's license is acceptable as long as it has a picture on it. Does anybody have any experience with sailing with the temporary id? I'm just a little reluctant because carnival customer service has been known to not know what they're talking about.

I do not have my old expired because they made me turn it in when I got my new one😭 And I actually am in 29 palms! I'm not military though. Update though. Just got off the phone with carnival and they said that a temporary Id from the dmv will be excepted as long as it has a picture on it. Does anyone have any experience with this?

We sail tomorrow and someone stole my wallet yesterday. How screwed and I'm with out that physical Id. I do have a very clear picture of if I had to use for verify. Just curious if I have any other options. No passport

I was actually wondering the same thing as I'm red with 24 days. Sailing on October 3rd and just printed my documents and it states gold on my boarding pass. So yaaaay

Well, to be completely honest, big chicken is probably your best bet for embarkation lunch. When people are boarding and looking for some lunch, typically we see people pass guys or the iguana and say ayyye, let's eat there. And very few people make it to big chicken before getting in line somewhere else. There were lines 20-30 people deep at every place but big chicken was almost immediate service. We boarded at 12:30. Hope it helps!

4 day to ensenada and Catalina. I've read the protocols but was unclear. So if I'm right, no one has to test? Cause all it says is 5 or older. Am I safe to assume that because it says 5 or older, my 3 year old doesn't need to test?

One kid 3 years of age one kid 14 years of age. Everyone is fully vaccinated except for 3 year old. No boosters. Can anyone tell me if any of us need to test. And when. A lot of changes happening and just want to be sure

So, we've done both and recently. Pasta bella for lunch, at no charge. Cucina Capitano for dinner, Additional charge. Both fan-freaking-tastic.

We just recently had the same question when booking our October 3rd cruise. We had to look at where we were going to be on Day 2 to figure out which way the boat was going to be facing on days 2 3 and 4, and then chose which side of the boat we wanted to be on based on which way we're going to be facing on what days. We opted for the sun to rise in our window on the first two days, and set in our window on the last 2 days. I was taught that the same number of letters are in port, as they are in left. Also starboard has an odd number of letters, and Port has an even number of letters. So that helps you figure out which side you're on

Can you elaborate? Why is no show better?

I'm sure this question has been asked and answered but I was wondering what the difference is going to be. 26 days from sailing. Two adjoining rooms. Two people n each room. One person from room one may not be able to make it. Should we cancel her ticket, or just have her be a no show.

It's 0.40 an ounce right? I want to say when I was on her in August, a 16 ounce can was about 7 or 8 dollars but I can't say I got a draft pour so I'm not sure how much those run but the the pyo would be 4.80-12 oz and 6.40 - 16 oz. Does anyone know if the pyo station charges the gratuity that the bars do? I feel like that would be the only reason it would be cheaper, if it didn't charge automatic gratuities.

We have one booked early October. Same situation as you, except we have connecting ocean views. We have had it confirmed we can get room keys for eachothers rooms. But we're thinking about seeing if they can just make all 4 of our cards just work for both rooms.
