  1. This may seem a little strange, but I thought I would ask anyway. I am over 65 and my 3 sons/wives are cruising with me too. I have done many cruises, normally with a friend, and just the two of us. While doing many cruises, I have met ladies normally a little younger cruising on their own. If you are around 65 or older, have you ever cruised on your own or even with family, and give me YOUR pros/cons of what you might do on the ship? I know I will be fine with my family, but I have always had someone else in the room with me, and NO I am not scared, but I just feel like I might be the extra wheel when they want to do something, although I know they would NOT make me feel this way.
  2. Someone just mentioned that the Regal was one of the ships where there the changes will be starting on, and we are to cruise on it in February, and I would like to read someone's feedback on that, if they cruise the Regal after today.
  3. Wanderers2, thank you for replying to my question here.
  4. We are to do the Regal, and thank you for breaking ALL of this down, which is a LOT to take into consideration. I will keep this so I can show my 3 sons what you have here.
  5. I see there are two packages that Princess offers, one for $60, and the other for $80 per day. With the $60 package, it says there are 2 casual dining dinners. What are the names of these places if you know? With the $80 package, it says there are 2 specialty dining dinners. What are the names of these places if you know? I see the $80 package is the ONLY one that handles the photos, or if a person wants to purchase a picture, is done with the "individual" price per picture?
  6. I knew I could have answered about the dining rooms in the evening, as I have done MORE than 15 cruises in my life time, and planning on doing the Regal in February. I figured it would help if someone "recently" who had been on the ship could answer whether it was chilly in the dining room or not, and yes they did. As for myself, I have always tried to wear long sleeves, or I will bring a shawl to wear if it is chilly when eating.
  7. Thank you for posting about the "dining" area. There will be 7 or 8 of us, and hopefully (we have always been able to do this before) we will be able to get the SAME dining table. Normally we do the late dining as well.
  8. Thanks for the information on my question, and I will try to check in to this the latter part of this year, and see if everything is still pretty much as you all have posted.
  9. Thank you for your enlightening information. How much was this package that you are talking about with the 3 Free pictures, etc.
  10. Worldtraveler, your last question is something that I would like to see an answer to as well.
  11. I am questioning the "packages" only, as most of the cruise fair has already been taken care of, and there is no problem in that area. Guess I'll just have to WAIT and see a month or two before we cruise.
  12. Thanks for getting back with me on my question. That does sound pretty good in just getting one of the smaller photo packages, and this way I could make sure I had the MAIN pictures I wanted. Yes I agree, I have a feeling the cell phones have stopped a lot of picture ordering too.
  13. Thanks for getting back with me on my question. That would be good if the "2nd" person did NOT have to purchase the package, as I doubt if they will want it. I guess I can wait until it gets a little closer to February, and check with my PVP, and see what she says. I know they are there to make money, but so far she has really helped out.
  14. Thanks for letting me know, but I don't really think that is fair. I know that is not your problem, but the other person in the room is not related, and they may not want that package, so it does make it bad, if the other one does.
  15. These different packages really have me thinking!!! I am different from everyone else as I have MORE than 60 picture albums, and instead of having ALL the pictures on a hard drive, etc. I have them in albums, and this way I can take my time and look at these pictures. I know this is the NEW way it seems they are doing the pictures, and I'm just about thinking of just taking pictures with our phones, as some of my pictures from my phone has turned out as good as a professional, if someone takes the "time" to take the picture. Am I also reading that if we get one of these packages, the OTHER person in the room whether they want the package or not, they HAVE to buy it, or the first person cannot get it?
  16. For those of you who have purchased one of the different Princess packages for your cruise, if you had someone in the room with you that was NOT related, and they did NOT want a package, were you still able to get one of the packages for yourself? I thought I had read some place that "both" people in the room, when not related, had to purchase the package (even if one of them did not want it), if one of them wanted it.
  17. I will say (I have FB) I went to the area that says Message on it, and sent my message to them. I don't like using Messenger (been hacked more than one time), but I did hear back from them and with our group of 7 or 8, they said they don't take care of that many people at once, or something like that.
  18. I understand where your coming from. I have been BLESSED that my son has MADE two computers for me, and that is all I have, and when something goes wrong, he or his wife are the ones that "fix" it for me. As for FB, I'm sure I'm much older than you, but that is how I stay in touch especially with friends from my past and the large corporate office I just retired from a few years go. I never had an issue with FB, until just lately when I received "2" emails ASKING me if I wanted to start a NEW account, which I NEVER requested on FB. Some way or another my d-i-l see it and ask me if I had requested it, and I said no, and I said the same thing in the two emails they sent to me to. She said she was able to contact them and to not change anything on my FB, which I was thankful for. As for Messenger, I try my best to STAY away from it, but sometime I get messages that I have to read. Twice I have been HACKED on Messenger, so I try to stay away from it as much as I can.
  19. OK, thank you. Rocketman, you sound like my friend who does NOT have a computer, and does not want one. You may have a computer, only do not do FB, which I understand too.
  20. So to get a hold of Saltwater Moms, do I find it under that name if they have a website or Galveston Saltwater Moms or what?
  21. I would say try to get another one. There are at least 7 of us that I booked through one several months ago, and I am happy with her, although I have NOT heard from her, but since our cruise is not until February, I'm not worried. She has most of the important information about the different ones that are cruising, and she said once it gets closer to time, she will get the rest of the information. I will say when I first got her, I dialed another number, and they said if I did not get her, they would MAKE SURE I got another one, so if you haven't already, I would try calling again and make sure you speak to someone, or make sure you leave your phone number for them to call you back, as happened with me.
  22. When I posted earlier, I failed to mention I am enjoying your pictures too.
  23. Several of us are planning on doing the Regal in February next year. I am enjoying your report so far, especially about the SHIP. 🙂
  24. Several of us are planning on doing the Regal in February, next year. I'm enjoying some of your pictures, and looking forward to your report on the Regal ship itself.
  25. I am really surprised (it may change by February when we go) that the IC is open 24 hours a day, which really seems unusual on most ships.
