  1. I thought that was exactly what CruisePlum displayed. What am I missing?
  2. I believe that it indicates that NCL jacked the prices up around the time that they honored everybody with those "great" coupons. It's just business. Only the suckers fall for it.
  3. That's funny. No, I don't pay any attention to what others are doing. DW sometimes does, but I tell her I couldn't care less what they eat, wear, talk about, etc. If we're fortunate enough to get a table by the window (which we almost always do because we tend to show up at opening time in the MDR venues), I'm more interested in ocean watching than people watching.
  4. Thanks. That's interesting. I may drop into the latitudes "party" on my next cruise just to put the reverse squeeze on the CN sales people. I'll probably only be buying two or four, but who knows?
  5. How many times has that happened to you?
  6. LOL. Not really. These folks actually brag about how smart they are attaching 15 tags to the outside of their bags and adding three more inside along with actual DNA samples to ensure that they don't become victims of the "missing luggage syndrome" that has plagued thousands of cruisers.
  7. Are you asking how to come out ahead by gambling in a casino? 🤣🤣🤣
  8. If you need more packing cubes, nice. Would you prefer saving 20 - 30% instead by waiting a week? Who is this guy? Was he there specifically to entertain latitudes passengers on the latitudes cruise? Please tell us what these were. What was this great deal? Was it something the rest of us couldn't book?
  9. Just to clarify. You saw MANY diners send food back in an MDR? Did you take any photos?? This is fascinating.😀
  10. Been there. It's REALLY stupid. There was about 10% occupancy at the dinning tables, but I couldn't go down and sit there until Q closed at whenever.
  11. If you just eat somewhere else, they will cancel your reservation when you check in. You can also ask, for example, when checking in for lunch that they cancel your dinner reservation at xyz.
  12. Many will go ahead and book and then make/attempt changes as schedule demands. You may wish to try this in the future.
  13. Yep, that was the mantra. Eat a bunch of crap that you don't want/need because somebody else doesn't have what they need. Logic took a beating back in those days (still does).
  14. LOL. 🐀's generally won't turn their noses up at any of that stuff. Back 123 years ago when I was a kid, my traditional parents, and every other adult in the small town I grew up in (they were all the same on some level), preached to every kid that it was their duty to consume whatever was placed in front of them on the dinner table. If not they would, God forbid, be "different." So, if I drink a Prosecco (or some other 💩swill that placed in front of me by a fine server), I'll just blame the parents. 😎 Maybe I just don't have a "bad" DD, but had "bad" DM and DF (both RIP) as well? Boy this world gets complicated when snooty people tell the rest of us how to live our lives. I need a cruise...
  15. You need to join me in October!! I do know a bit about Sonoran Desert heat.🌵
  16. What deck is that on again? I think I missed it. 🤣 So, are you saying that when my DD orders Prosecco for us at lunch, that she's essentially slapping DW and I in the face and subjecting us to severe punishment? Yikes. I guess to each their own.... Some of us just hang with our friends and family and don't care what they drink/eat/etc. I actually have found that this is a great way to make new friends as well. 😎
  17. Well dear sir, we may just have to agree to differ on this. "Some" might suggest that anything outside of the Whisky/Gin/Vodka/Ale family is "undrinkable swill." I drink whatever DD orders to rehydrate and support the cause. Do you really find it hard to abide the appearance of a fancy bottle?🤣 I'm guessing you won't be enjoying my company on a future cruise. Sure, we might cruise together though.....😎
