  1. It's both "priority check in" (i.e. a special line after security to the check in desks) but also priority boarding (Platinum and above board before all numbered boarding groups). Both can be very useful or not depending upon the cruise. We took the first Bliss sailing from AK in April. It was absolutely surreal. Alaskan Way was calm. We were allowed to enter the terminal promptly at 9:30. Through initial document check and security in about ten minutes. No wait to check in (other than they had sent some of the key cars to the wrong place). Fast forward another ten minutes and, armed with our key cards, we just walked on the ship. Cabins were all ready. The Local was open for drinks, and allowed lunch ordering shortly after. I think we were seated with the first beer at 10:15. I want to do THAT again. 😎
  2. It actually may have made it worse. Idiots are hard to predict.
  3. You should only have one specialty dining for guests 1 and 2. As long as you have one, you can book a reservation for 8 in Moderno and it won't ask you to pay. You would have to of course pay when you ate there for the added persons. I'm not sure how it works with kids there, but somebody here does.
  4. You can't reprice after final payment due date. You can upgrade to a more expensive cabin.
  5. Yep. Please let us know if you can.
  6. If you don't receive one, submit a case to NCL and they will promptly email you a copy of your final invoice.
  7. Well, there's the ocean, the free drinks, the food, the free drinks, the shows, the music, the free drinks, the port visits, the food, indoor plumbing, a nice bed, heating and air conditioning, new friends to be enjoyed (more than a few tents' worth), a steward who actually does a perfect job 99.8+% of the time and a bunch of other stuff I'm failing to mention. Did I mention that there is a lot of great food and free booze? 😎🐀
  8. My guess is that "dad" was "that kid" thirty or so years ago. Thank God that most of us had parents who created some limits.
  9. Most of us would prefer to drink it at the bar, but to each their own. 🤣
  10. Actually, I booked all of those on-line. I think we just have another example of NCL IT crazy.
  11. I have the Sun Seven Seas MDR booked six times on an upcoming cruise.
  12. Isn't this only true of the fixed price specialty venues? I can book as many ala carte restaurants as I want without being charged pre-cruise.
  13. LOL. This forum is like shooting fish in a barrel.... 🤣
  14. Well, somebody once accused me of being seen in the lounge in my boxers. Did it happen? Could have! I've said it before and I'll say it again, if Tony Soprano can walk down his driveway in his boxers to pick up his newspaper, SO CAN I. 🤣
  15. Which review site lists the reviewers' ages? I would really like to check this out.
  16. Really? Wow. I thought that elevators were there for the convenience of all. Are they only to be used by old, lazy people (like me)? I welcome the younger crowd to join me. We're all going to get to where we are going. I've actually made new friends in the elevators. 😎
  17. Have you actually had any problems with NCL laundry? If so, you'll be the first.
  18. I'm sure that there have been lost items, but I've never read such a report here on the forum, so it is likely a very rare occurrence. I guess a tag could come off, but then you would likely just have to describe the item and have your Steward retrieve it. I don't own any expensive clothing, so if something didn't make it back it would be no big deal.
  19. Yep. My procrastination may have paid off. I ignored the NCLH shareholder benefit for years, but finally jumped in last fall. I paid around $16 a share. It's been mostly down since then, but so what. I'll hold it as long as I cruise NCL and they continue the program. Update: Just for fun, I just checked. NCLH is now at $16.14, so I'm "down" $16.50 on my 100 share holding. 🤣 This is the only individual stock I've ever held, so it is a bit fun to experience the volatile roller coaster ride that individual stocks are (at a very modest price of admission😎)
  20. I fail to see any condescension. The poster had said something along the lines of "as shareholders, we were happy to see a full ship," implying that the effect on a large NCL stockholding would be worth having to cruise on a packed ship. 100 shares (or 200 shares) is peanuts. I bought mine for under two large, which certainly isn't going to make or break a retirement regardless of how much NCLH soars or goes into the toilet. At 100 shares, being a shareholder is totally irrelevant except for that free $100 OBC every cruise. If anybody is condescending here, it is you: Condesension: "an attitude of patronizing superiority"
  21. Recently in Cagney's, the waiter brought that list and told us that there are only three on the list that aren't already free with the beverage package. So, we chose one of those.
  22. So, at the end of the day, this is chump change. That said, as a "shareholder" at this level, you should likely be much more concerned about your cruise enjoyment than the NCL bottom line. I own the requisite 100 shares and couldn't care less what today's price is as long as I keep getting a free $100 every cruise. I think I'm down fifty bucks on the stock price but have (so far) benefited from $300 of OBC. I really don't care what the stock does as long as it doesn't go to zero.
