  1. Didn't the Sun just undergo a significant refurb? If you have time, please post your impressions of the smaller musical acts on board. Our next scheduled cruise is on the Sun this summer. Thanks.
  2. I was on a B2B the first two weeks of the 2023 season on the Bliss. First week in Skagway, beautiful weather. That's when we had just planned to walk around the town. Second week? Rainy and cold, but that was great because that is when we took the mini-bus excursion to White Pass on the highway. Beautiful snowfall for the higher parts of the trip. Win-win!! 😎
  3. With respect to a CN, you were told a bunch of (accurate) nonsense. NCL's "make a payment" page clearly provides the option to apply one (or two, if during a DoubleUp promo) CN towards your final payment due on an existing reservation. I've done just that three times (out of three attempts) this year. I don't know anything about CFs, as I've never purchased one.
  4. Thanks. I thought it was just me? 🤣
  5. 🤣 I guess I'm fortunate to still be able to access a living fish? The Plum is a perfect illustration of that old adage "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink." It's a lot more fun for some to (constantly) proclaim "NCL is evil, prices are all twice what they were a year ago!! Whaah, Whaah... 😭"
  6. ^^^this. I've been on six AK cruises, and had a great time on every single one. IIRC, two in April, two in May, one in September and one in October. OP asks for "fair weather," which doesn't necessarily mean "warmest weather." That likely makes it a crap shoot.
  7. On the US site, you can no longer choose a category within a specific room type. The price differences are reflecting category upgrades (i.e. from BB to BA).
  8. Which site are you using that does this? If there's a better site, we certainly would like to know about it!
  9. Thanks. It looks like Star prices have been dropping steadily. Here's a (typical) example: You may wish to check your prices today, because it looks like several sailings have had a further incremental drop just in the last day or two (i.e. after the "Memorial Day sale" ended🤣). At the end of the day, it's the final price that matters, not how NCL markets it to us.😎 I don't have the Star on any of my saved searches, as I typically book inside and insist on a ship with an Observation lounge. Of the ships I track, the only itineraries that have shown much movement over the past several months are the Prima and smaller AK ships. There was a slight price drop on three of my 2024 bookings that occurred around May 2, so I did reprice those at that time.
  10. Thx. I check CruisePlum almost daily and I haven't seen any meaningful savings.
  11. Has anybody suggested the obvious (contest the airfare portion of the credit card charge with your credit card company)? Merchant sold a future service and charged a credit card. Service was not delivered. Charge is reversed pending merchant providing proof that the service was delivered. No need for a lawyer, NCL case, insurance claim or anything else.
  12. Yeah, I don't know anything about booking in the UK. For US or Canadian, these are the lines covered: What else are you looking for?
  13. What kind of transfer does NCL provide to a hotel the day before a cruise? I've never heard of this.
  14. I believe that CruisePlum is a far superior tool.
  15. I'm confused, but that's okay. I just know that I liked him and the other band members and we had a great time with them. If I added an extra syllable to his name, then that's okay. We all had a lot of fun and at the end of the cruise nobody cares.😎
  16. Well, he told me in our one on one discussion that his name is Jose (that's what his nametag says), but that I should call him Junior. Certainly, some might shorten that to "Jun" (have you seen the Sopranos?). Do you really need to poke at this? What's your point?
  17. Maybe. Maybe not. How many hours a day do people spend eating dinner or soaking in the pool? Many families have a more enjoyable time if they're not together 24/7. Don't families staying in the Haven come out to do other things? I really don't know.
  18. The point that many are trying to make is that these are not mutually exclusive. The OP can book a less expensive room AND enjoy time with children and grandchildren. If you have to be in the Haven to enjoy time with your family, then I just plain don't get it.
  19. Yep. And it also cuts through a lot of nonsense about how much NCL is "jacking up" their fares as well as claims that "the price last month was half (or twice) what it is now."
