I think @harryfat1 Cheapo Dad started it. It is just a fun thing to do, doesn't have to have a reason. When Cruise Critic was much smaller, we once spent an entire weekend talking about rat guards on the mooring lines. Not everything has to have a purpose. :classic_biggrin:

I remember a few years ago a lengthy rat guard conversation on the Princess boards.

Ok, I am aware of the desire of mooring lines that you all do, but why would anyone care that you take pictures of this?

I am clueless about the wrongness and desires.

I think it’s because in order to get a close up picture you have to cross the yellow (or whatever color) security line.

Thank you for this update. I (try to) keep everyone who has posted something here, in my thoughts and prayers. I can imagine how hard it is for you to do everything on your own. I admire all you do for her. Not everyone has that compassionate a heart! Very commendable.

I am happy that we are a source of your enjoyment and that we keep you (somewhat 🤣😁) sane here!

Thank you for such kind words.  I hope you have a great day.

Lucas how is your Mother doing?

Good evening Arzeena, thanks for asking.  As you, and many others on here, know, I don’t post a lot about the day to day stuff since I don’t want to sound like I am complaining or frustrated all the time. But since you asked.  She had to start a new chemo last week.  They are trying Gemzar chemo once a week now.

She was on Abraxane chemo once a week for about 15 months.  It was doing great for about a year according to her CT scans back in December the newest tumor had reduced in size drastically.  The CT scans a couple of weeks ago showed that it had grown back to its original size before the Abraxane chemo.  So it’s time to try something new.

I learned something last week that I had not known.  Evidently the hormone receptors of cancer can change from positive to negative over time.  It’s seems her original biopsy from 2000 and the tests done in 2008 when it metasticized was positive, but the biopsy of 2020 was negative.  So I am just waiting for the new biopsy to be scheduled to see if the HR is + or -.   That will determine what additional drug they will add for the new gene therapy to go along with the Gemzar chemo.

I think i have all the terminology right, I’m still reading through all the print outs of the gene study and drug sheets her doctors gave me.  They know I like to research everything so they print it all out for me.

Also had a new appt with a new neurologist that specializes in Parkinson’s to try out different medications and therapies for that, but need to get her gaberpentin dosages correct for the neuropathy in order to work on the Parkinson’s.

Needless to say that my days are kept busy trying to figure all of this out and deal with everything on my own.  I do appreciate your concern and really enjoy this thread to help keep me sane at times. 🙂

    @davekathy I hope so too.

And also hoping @LucasLikesToCruise is enjoying a nice cruise 😁

I’m still read here a few times a day and faithfully following along this thread and the Bella thread.
I wish I was able to be on a cruise, but unfortunately my cruising days for the near future are over as long as I am the only caregiver for my mother.
I just haven’t reported any comments lately since nothing exciting is happening here unless you count taking Oliver to the pet wash at Tractor Supply the other day.  It was the first time I took him to a store and he spent a good hour sniffing everything after he got his bath.
I had started typing some lengthy and detailed comments to jimbos kitchen design since I have been involved with a fair share of kitchen design and builds, some well over the $100K range, but I kept getting interrupted with things here, so I just gave up.
Anyway, thanks for thinking of me, but rest assured, I’m still observing everything even if I have been quiet. 😎

Taylor Sheridan the incredible creator and writer has said a few more episodes of 1883 are coming. But fans shouldn't expect an entire season of 10 episodes. Instead, it appears that Paramount will be giving fans a few bonus episodes to move the story forward to 1932. 1932 should air mid 2023 to fall of 2023.

Therapy has been going good. I’ve even practiced driving with Linda in the car. Unfortunately I’m still struggling get off the pain meds. I’ve at least stopped the Oxycodone but I’m still taking the Tramadol which makes me very drowsy. I tried to quit for two days but felt nauseous and depressed. I get depressed that I’ve had pain and discomfort every day for 4 weeks now. I know the end goal is getting closer and I’m doing well but I’m really tired of hurting. This has been a lot tougher than I thought to deal with mentally. I am hanging in there. Thank you for asking and your concern Maryann.

Hang in there Greg, at least the worse is behind you.  Hopefully every day is getting better for you.

That was my first book by Karin Slaughter.  Didn’t like it but still want to watch this because Australian actress Toni Collette is in the lead and she is excellent in everything I have seen her in.

I didn’t read the book.  There were a few moments at the beginning that I thought it had it all figured out, then a twist.  Thought I had it figured out again, and another twist.

@DaniDanielle so glad he is home!

@Ocean Boy It was $4.19 here, if only we could drill for it here.  Sigh.

My expensive hobby is anything fiber related.  My husband's hobby is restoring old tractors big and small including related accessories.

To all the people baking bacon - does it make a mess of the oven and what temp. and time?

Is that like gourmet Metamucil? 😂😂🤪
