    I recently endured the in-person muster, and I failed this test. That proves that the in-person muster will never save my life.

    If you also are getting a SHOREX discount because you're a higher level latitudes, the math on these can sometimes get a bit fuzzy.

    Those are excellent points, and reasons that most folks here (who can) just buy CNs on the ship and use those for future cruise savings.

    Isn't a full refund already an option?

    It sounds like NCL could have done one of two things: a) cancel all reservations b) change the itinerary without any change to price/cabin selections/promos/etc. (while allowing US passengers to still just cancel on their own) If it were me, I would prefer "b." It provides more options.

    Nothing on a cruise is "terrible," but it is a kick in the groin for somebody who missed the Napali coast line on their once in a lifetime trip to HI.

    We have no idea. It was basically just an afternoon loop that got the ship nowhere. My guess is that it HAD to be fuel costs (and maybe reduced food and beverage because of an extended port stay). The bean counters are working overtime these days and being forced to save beans wherever possible. If it saves the cruise lines, then I'm okay with it (for a while).😎

    I didn't realize until this thread that being on a cruise ship was just about as dangerous as being on a one-of-a-kind submersible that travels over two miles beneath the surface. Why the heck didn't they have lifeboats and a muster drill (in-person of course)?
