  1. That just has to be the most popular machine in the casino! 🤑
  2. Where I live, the "speed limit" is basically just a recommendation. A person doesn't get ticketed for "driving faster than the speed limit." The first level ticket is for driving at an unsafe speed, which is defined as: a) exceeding the speed limit by at least ten miles per hour b) driving too fast for the road conditions When conditions are good, the vast majority of drivers drive five to ten miles per hour over the speed limit. That is the expectation, and the cops will just ignore it (or even wave, we have one of the best police forces in the nation). Steal a candy bar? If you're over ten years old you better plan on talking to the judge.
  3. What? I was responding to somebody who was suggesting that it is possible to have the divider open without any help from NCL. Was that not clear?
  4. Nah. I'll book inside and stop at McDonalds to get some hash browns.
  5. Of course not. I was poking fun at folks who get worked up about such nonsense. I do, however, miss my hash browns.
  6. There were no real engines for most of that time period. They were essentially cancelled from 1972 - 1985. Thank God for electronic fuel injection.
  7. I would never knowingly violate any NCL rule. I might not be thrown off the ship, but might very likely have a black mark on my permanent record. I've lived with enough of those from elementary school.
  8. Okay, let's get this straight. Towel animals > hash browns > cookies. 'Nuff said. 🤠
  9. See, that's the great thing about the bars. Nothing ever goes to waste (unless somebody spills their drink...I've done stupid things but nothing THAT stupid).
  10. I have little doubt that there are NCL bartenders who would/will remember me. I'm not sure that's a "good" thing. 🤣
  11. I've heard 15 days, but same ballpark. It works great when it works.
  12. Obviously, if a person has a chronic issue that can somehow and surprisingly generate large unexpected medical expenses while they're outside of the US, they might just need to buy some added insurance. Why do you think that Medicare Advantage plans should provide this to avoid the "laughable?" ETA: Medicare Advantage is a competitive system of private insurance companies. Have you challenged your insurance company to up their game?
  13. Laughable? Are you suggesting that most people need much more than $50K coverage for medical expenses outside of the US?
  14. It likely depends entirely on the cruise. If you don't care which day, you can probably get a reservation. btw: I believe that you meant to say "board early and go to wherever they are making restaurant reservations." That typically isn't Cagney's.
  15. Have we determined that they have shortened breakfast hours? I thought this was a specific case where the hours were shifted earlier due to an early port arrival. 5:30 - 9:30 or 6:30 - 10:30 (typical) is still a full four hours.
  16. I admire that bear poop on just about every AK cruise. I am SO tempted to buy some, stick in in my pocket and set up the inevitable joke (with DW playing the straight "man") in a late night bar. "Is that bear poop in your pocket or are you just......."🤣 Humor is such a personal thing.😎
  17. Experienced NCL cruisers understand that this is marketing, not truth. Who'd a thought....
  18. Thanks. This is a moving, unpredictable target. Ten or twenty years ago, some of my airline accounts required middle initial, and it was usually optional. That said, I think things may be tightening up. My passport and REALID drivers license have always included my full middle name. Within the last few years, I've updated both my NCL account (easy, over the phone) and Southwest account (required a written request through their website). Chase credit cards used to only allow initial, but are now allowing full middle name on the application/account (but the card still just displays initials....for now).
  19. I wish all CC threads had this kind of good humor.🤣
