  1. Seeing a new one for us, don't see it in the list, old or new.
  2. I just looked up an Aft Haven Spa Suite, accommodates only 2 (per sign in youtube video from NCL tour). Not sure why they say up to 4, as there is no other bed that I can see in those cabins.
  3. Agreed, not a huge fan of the tub unless one likes to take a bath or has children. But I can't stand that stupid Princess shower curtain either. I'll upgrade to a base full suite just to get away from that thing.
  4. All the pics I can see of MA and MB class cabins on deck 11 shows as shower/tub.
  5. Sorry, I think I am just dense on this. Looking at upgraded from Standard Free at Sea for our 5 day cruise. Basic math says this is $49 pp per day (or $98 for a couple in one room per day) that would be an extra $245 for the cruise, or $490 for a couple. My NCL separate upgrades stand at: $70.80 for 2 extra meals meals ($141.60 for couple) $174 for Premium Plus Bev ($348 for couple) $89.95 for Unlimited wifi ($179.90 per couple) $50 for the excursion, as there is no upgrade listed that I can find ----------- $384.75 ($719.5 per couple) That is a great deal, as long as I want to upgrade all 4 items. OR should I save that and potentially put it to getting an upgraded cabin? (Feel free to correct any of my shoddy math)
  6. My wife gave her a long list of Carole King songs during our August 2021 sailing, as her tone and style were a great match. I have a poor but precious recording of her doing Hallelujah from Leonard Cohen for us.
  7. Thanks, we asked anyone we could find last time for the Priority thing and no one had a clue. Guessing all the folks we talked to were not NCL reps but likely port employees. Bad enough when we got into the area with the main lines you could see the one with the Haven/Priority sign so we asked point blank and they told us to stay in line. I got a little flabbergasted and moved to the Priority line anyway.
  8. While on Discovery we went up to the gym (Deck 17 aft) when the ship was pitching and rolling. Could hardly walk in a straight line. I would of swore I was uber drunk if it wasn't 9:30AM in the morning.
  9. I presume this was an alcoholic beverage? The basic package doesn't cover Starbucks.
  10. Alexa is or has returned to the Encore (we follow her on FB). We too enjoyed her shows in the Observation lounge and Atrium.
  11. I have a spreadsheet going of all the Joy Haven Suites pricing for 2 people for our December cruise. I update every two weeks or so, as I'd prefer to just upgrade rather than wait for the bidding process. So far pricing has mostly gone up, but did go down a bit last few days. I have no idea how they figure out rates, as it makes no sense to me. 🤔
  12. Does anyone know the process for Haven check-in/embarkation at the Los Angeles World Cruise Center B92? Last time we did this we had just Priority Embarkation (back when you could purchase that as an upgrade with the Breakfast and a few other things) and it was a complete nightmare, but that was pre-pandemic. We were in the line outside the tent for a few hours just to get into the tent area (think there was some pre-screening here) and then once we were far enough in we could see the "Haven/Priority" line at the far left. We kept asking employee's where we needed to go and no one had a clue. So with that fiasco in mind, has anything changed there? This is our first time in a Haven Suite so we haven't done their check-in process. Really wish this was like that uber nice NCL lounge in Florida. 😛
  13. Good question. They did pre-pandemic as I loved eating there, but heard they were not recently.
  14. Funny, their Aprons still had "Alfredo's" on them. 😆
  15. It was when we went in early May. Almost convinced my group to go too, but they had other ideas.
  16. If $$$ isn't really an issue I would upgrade them all and let them have the choice of joining you when and where they want. That way they can do Haven or non-Haven things, either with everyone or on their own. My parents have also taken and paid for the family to go on a cruise together, but not in the Haven (I convinced them about upgrading to Club Mini's for everyone). My mother did put "strings" on it though, as she "requested" that we all dine together for dinner. Nobody minded so we all acquiesced to make her happy. 😉
  17. Thanks for posting the Haven dinner menu. Can you get ones of the Breakfast and Lunch? Want to know what changed and/or what to expect when we go in December. Thanks in advance!
  18. So sorry that you had to go through this terrible incident. Glad to hear your aunt is doing a bit better. Hopefully this will continue in the near and far future! Ok, I'm trying hard to just read through it all as a complete outsider. Here's my thoughts/questions: 1. Princess dealing with Aunt - well done. Treated quickly and taken well care of. 2. Dealing with niece during treatment - Sounds like they were following their protocols during treatment. Some were odd or even questionable, but I would blame that on communications issues with Medical/Princess staff. 3. Payment - Correct me if wrong, but Princess tried to charge the Aunt's card for medical and since the phone was out they could not do so. Anyone know what Princess policy is regarding getting payment for medical when charge is refused? Especially if that guest is getting taken off ship via ambulance? Going straight to the niece sounds odd but, like most medical places, they want payment. Not condoning this but not condemning it either as I don't know what the policy is. 4. After/off ship - Poor communication and follow up. Princess let the ball down here. I wish they would have done more, but to be honest it is not Princess's job to get everything setup for a departing guests. It would have been nice if they did. (I've read so many post complaining about Princess or another cruise line not going above and beyond what is expected pre or post cruise.) Not trying to be cold here, but Princess responsibility ends at the gangplank. Without know their policy in this, especially when in different ports/nations and what they were in the process of doing. I just need more info.
  19. Just a quick correction, Discovery does have Sushi, it's in the main Atrium, bow side Fiesta deck 6. Called Ocean Terrace Seafood Bar.
  20. In the same boat here, also doing a Mexico cruise in December on Joy. Would love to get an aft- Haven Balcony but the prices have shot up lately compared to when I first upgraded to the Haven. Last payment isn't until September so plenty of time to monitor pricing on just upgrading rather than waiting on a bid.
  21. Thanks @Sthrngary for the full pic. This is the July 2021 one, correct? Did they send you anything new for 2022? There are quite a few differences in this 2021 and the 2022 posted above for non-Haven suites as I think they made all the changes on Joy in late 2021. I originally booked a non-Haven suite SC cabin then upgraded to a full Haven HI cabin on deck 15 when the prices were much, much lower than they are today. Not sure I will enjoy it as much as I thought as it is right below the pool deck. 😒
  22. EDIT - Sorry, read that as you were booked in a Sky Suite, not on the Sky Princess. My bad. As full suites guests you will have access to the Club Class dining area, which has 1-2 more options added to the main MDR menu. Plus getting seated was much easier, as it's only for Suites or Club Class mini-Suites. Unsure where it will be on your ship, but it's usually on the port side of the middle dining room on deck 6.
  23. Our Discovery cruise in early May in a full Suite had few of the upgraded amenities that were promised. Nothing in the bathroom, which is what I was most excited about. When asked, they said they don't do them. Which is BS. They had full upgraded bathroom stuff in the vacant Sky Suites though, when we took a tour of them. Full sized bottles from the Lotus Spa. Asked and was told ONLY the Sky Suites came with upgraded stuff. Wish I had brought a hard copy of the Suite lists.
