I’m tired of hearing about visa work issues. I understand that was an issue during the restart but it’s been a year and a half and it’s still an issue? Ok it takes longer to get a work visa, put that into your staffing plans. It really doesn’t matter if the time to get a work visa is 2 months or 10 months, it just needs to be factored into the staffing plan. If I couldn’t fixed a problem in a year I would have been fired. Maybe the home office needs some new people to staff the ships.

Unless you are within easy driving distance to the port and you don’t purchase beverage packages and internet, I’m not sure I see a huge advantage to taking a cruise I didn’t plan on taking. The price of a basic inside cabin can be pretty cheap considering the complete cost of a cruise when you consider flying and the cost of a pre cruise hotel in addition to the cruise. But it’s great if it works for you.

Ok not Netflix, but I expected to be able to stream ESPN for sports and probably the cable news networks. The premium package does say sports.

I purchased the premium package. Guest Services tells me that you can stream YouTube but not Netflix or cable programs. Certainly different than my last Celebrity experience.

I have no problem doing FaceTime calls and surfing is decent. However, I cannot stream anything from Comcast or Netflix. By way of comparison, I was able to stream anything allowed last September on the Celebrity Equinox and that ship didn’t have Starlink

I’m sure that he can find a wind protected table by the Seaview pool on the Rotterdam to smoke and the wind won’t bother him. Just as a point of reference, Are cigars and pipes permitted in the smoking area os is it only cigarettes?

As a point of reference, here’s what it is sitting on the Rotterdam on an open deck midship in St Maarten. Curiously, it’s about the same speed with the standard or premium packages.

Or… it’s a great bargain on the cruise fare sailing from the west coast because many people don’t like the itineraries.

I agree, Port taxes and fees are really low on my list of things to worry about because there’s nothing I can do about them. Is the bottom line price of the cruise a good value for me? That’s the only thing that really matters.
