  2. We have been providing our butler a list on every cruise. It indicates what night(s) we are specialty dining (reservations are made prior to boarding), what night we will be dining in our suite (we want to provide a few days notice so that our butler can plan accordingly (we do not request having our meal served course by course, booked shore excursions, etc. Anything that will make it easier for him/her! I print out a copy of the communication between Shoreside and I and leave it on the dining table. I certainly do not find this to be rude at all. If it helps the staff to better know know schedules so be it. It has always worked out well for us and hopefully the crew as well.
  3. No those are NOT the correct hours. As your sail date gets closer, the app will more correctly reflect the correct hours.

  10. An outstanding excursion! We booked directly with the WPRR (White Pass Railroad).
  11. For the short amount of time we spent on the deck, we get our own beverages from the bar.
  12. Tipping excursion guides, taxi drivers, etc is subjective. We tip what we believe is fair for the value received.
  13. Instead of all of these “theories” re: understaffing, reach out to the State Department and research processing time(s) for C-1/D visa. SMDH
  14. If anyone expects X to deliver a product equal to or above pre Covid will IMO be disappointed. That was then this is now. Does anyone really think X has decided to keep their ships understaffed? If the workers need visas and they cannot be issued in a timely fashion to fully staff the ships, how is that the fault of X? I certainly do not agree with or understand the rationale of cutting food costs which in turn results in unhappy pax but…we are returning to X in 3 weeks with another cruise booked for Dec. If we are unhappy, we will bite the deposit (very very low) and move forward with Oceania. As always JMHO
  15. We take good care of those who take care of us! Breakfast en suite daily, afternoon snacks, dinner en suite, etc. We make our own dining reservations prior to boarding. Only poor butler we encountered was switched out day 2 after a conversation with Concierge (before Covid).
  16. We are also eyeing Yacht Club. X and NCL suite prices are nuts and after our upcoming 2 cruises in Retreat, we will likely move on. We left NCL when the suite experience began to slide downwards. Unless LLP and the Board adjust pricing downward we will leave X. Greed is NOT loyalty inducing!
  17. What are we missing? In all of our years cruising (30 years plus) we have never gone to anything where large crowds are gathered (I have social anxiety). Wondering if we stood near an exit if I should try it?
  18. Luminae’s burger is outstanding! We are blessed to cruise in the Retreat suites and hubby’s embarkation tradition is head to Luminae for their burger.

  20. The crew are way too polite to appear offended when gifted by a pax. I honor your opinions and hope you honor mine. I do not engage in religious discussions with anyone…I just say excuse me and leave.
