  1. Friends of ours just got off in Rome and they told me the bartenders in Crooners are Francis, Edel and Arvindra and Paula. 🙂
  2. Well that beats the heck out of tuna wrap and watermelon. ROFL
  3. Thanks, got it. That will be a great place for a sailaway. 🙂
  4. Confused...where is the Wakeview Bar? I couldn't find it on the deck plans. I'm interested because Phil and I always take a bottle of wine out to the bar at the back of the ship on the last port to say goodbye to dry land for the sea days of the transatlantic. 🙂
  5. Thanks so much for doing this. We are just under three weeks before flying to Rome and the excitement is building. This will be our first cruise since Hawaii April 2019 and to say we are looking forward to it is a HUGE understatement. 😉🥂
  6. No problem. Here you are. https://draft.blogger.com/profile/11230294360762703894
  7. Marvellous!! Something to read with my morning coffee. I am very much looking forward to reading your comments. I have a friend on the Regal as of today and I'm also going to be reading her blog. What a great way to anticipate a cruise!! 🙂 It won't be long now.
  8. I forgot about Q from Bond. Another great character. 🙂 But in my defence, I had a huge crush on John De Lancie from when he was on Days of Our Lives. Now that's dating myself. ROFL
  9. Its All Knowing and Totally Omnipotent, I've decided to call mine Q. If you aren't a Trekkie, you won't get that. 😉
  10. Didn't even consider the exchange rate. And you are right, its a bargain!! I think its around $1.35. 😞
  11. We like to prepay the crew appreciation but when I went to check the amount seemed a bit high. Sure enough, they were charging a whopping 25% service charge on the amount. I thought the service charge was 18%. I also thought it was interesting that we are paying a service charge on the crew appreciation. Can anyone shed some light on this?
  12. We went to Buffalo last weekend for about 3 hours. We had to do the ArriveCan to get back into Canada!!! Yeah, they need to get rid of this. 😞
  13. Seabands are the very best! I have tried every seasickness cure known to mankind. LOL With Seabands I don't have any issues. The first time I used them we bounced on the edge of a hurricane for 36 hours and I was fine. However, just to be on the safe side, be sure to have a back up like Gravol or Bonnie.
  14. Thanks for posting this, I have all those same questions. 🙂
  15. Someone on our rollcall mentioned a price drop. I called my TA, she called HAL and I got a great drop in price and kept all my perks. Very pleased.
  16. Check out Man in Seat 61. He is the best reference for train travel just about anywhere in the world. https://www.seat61.com/
  17. We have cabin V8080 with a slanted balcony...any pictures of that or any of the slanted balconies?
  18. Our rollcall had a Halloween Party and just about everyone came. It was a great time.
  19. I have used this twice, both times with airlines. It works great. I hope Princess works as well.
  20. First time HAL cruisers here. 🙂 We booked cabin V8080 on the Nieuw Statendam but I have not been able to find any pictures of the larger slanted balcony. Can anyone help me out here?
  21. I would definitely stay up for a chocolate surprise...what is the chocolate surprise? LOL EDIT: never mind, I googled it. WOW https://www.hollandamerica.com/blog/topics/arts-entertainment/new-chocolate-surprise-is-the-ultimate-decadent-dessert-parade/
  22. I am curious about this when its a B2B; we have a cruise before our transatlantic and a lot of people are doing both. I would assume that there would be at least one dining room open for lunch?
  23. If you can get two weeks away, consider this cruise from HAL.
