  1. We have just booked another cruise (you lovely lot have a lot to answer for) travelling on QV in November chasing the Northern lights. Looking for night tour recommendations. I realise Cunard organise one but are there smaller group options available. Would love to hear your opinions/reviews. Also any other top tips ? For example keeping warm during those chilly evenings on deck - Iโ€™m considering a hot water bottle ๐Ÿ˜. Thank you in advance ๐Ÿ˜Š
  2. We shall definitely try and order this when we are next onboard QV in November. A chef from Goa cooked us a wonderful Indian banquet last time as a special off menu request and it was delicious. Thank you for the recommendation
  3. I am really looking forward to your upcoming posts. Your previous posts and comments helped us enormously in planning our recent QG trip on QV.
  4. Great selection of insight talks. Certainly more than we recently experienced on our recent 12 nt trip on QV.
  5. Than you for sharing this Rakkor, I agree shame about the port ๐Ÿ˜Š ๐Ÿท
  6. Oh that is an excellent point! Thank you
  7. Hi Bell Boy, Thank you for your swift response. The next big question is Commodore or Captainโ€™s selection ๐Ÿ˜…
  8. Our cruise on QV is fast approaching. I have a couple more questions which Iโ€™m sure you will be able to help with - you havenโ€™t let me down yet. We will be purchasing a Captainโ€™s or Commodoreโ€™s wine collection, how does this work? Do we have to select all wines in advance? Where do we order it? I understand we are given a booklet but havenโ€™t gleaned anything else. How does OBC work? Does it just get deducted from our bill at the end of the trip or do we have to allocate it to a specific purchase? Thanks very much everyone ๐Ÿ˜Š
  9. We are sailing on the QV on the 6th- so thatโ€™s handy to know in advance , thank you ๐Ÿ˜Š
  10. Fellow Cunard newbie and definately not hijacking your thread but could I ask another cheeky question? is there a separate check in area for Grills passengers? Thank you โ˜บ๏ธ
  11. Great questions, very interested in the replies.
  12. Really disappointed not to have an alternative fjord port offered. One of the main reasons for selecting this cruise was to go in the fjords. Iโ€™m sure Cunard have known for sometime that they were going to make these changes and feel saddened that we have only been informed after the final payment has been made. Leaves a very unpleasant taste. Would love to know when Cunard found out they could no longer sail to Geiranger.
  13. Thank you all for taking the time to reply, we really appreciate it. Some great suggestions, we hope to try many of them during our trip to the Northern Fjords ๐Ÿ˜Š
  14. Thank you all for the replies so far ๐Ÿ˜Š
  15. Looking for some advice and tips from people who have experienced the QV Queens grills Q4. After looking at the Cunard literature it is not obvious which dining options are included. We appreciate our evening meals and breakfasts will be in the QG dining room but are wondering if we can have lunch in the Lido for example for a lighter lunch and a change of scene. Thank you and any other tips as this is our first time cruising.
  16. QV V315, North Cape Discovery 06/06/2023 07June - Black and White 14 June - Masquerade ๐Ÿ˜Š
  17. Oh my word these look divine! Are they free for all or just certain staterooms? Iโ€™m asking as a total newbie who is booked on QV in QG in 2024 and just planning ahead!
  18. A Negroni is my favourite cocktail and Iโ€™m looking forward to tasting one or two on the QV! Look forward to your review.
  19. Hi we are also on this cruise and have just seen that you can now book excursions for the cruise on https://www.cunard.com/en-gb/manage-booking . It gives a bit more information on each of the ports too. I am interested to hear in any recommendations for excursions from previous Cunard passengers. Itโ€™s our first cruise and there is a lot to learn!
