  1. @zqvol you are posting lots of 🤣 but no commentary. What’s your thought?
  2. A 100% FCC is unreasonable IMO. And, coming from you makes me SMH. You are such a staunch advocate of the cruise contract. When multiple ports in the Caribbean are missed you are first to remind everyone that the cruise line owes you nothing. They are on a cruise, and they are going to ports. What makes this different? As one previous person mentioned, Antarctic excursions are very expensive…I would question the amount of cash onboard, which is why I suggest the credit card refund, which could be facilitated by onshore excursions department.
  3. Regardless of the contract, these passengers should receive some type of “goodwill” credit. And, I suspect NCL corporate is having those discussions. If they’re not…shame shame on them and they deserve significant bad press. Social media is strong. What do you feel is appropriate compensation? IMO, a FCC of 25% cruise fare paid, along with OBC for port fees and credit card refund for excursions. Future sailings that are affected should be given the option to cancel with full refund, no penalty.
  4. Plain is cheaper. They think we won’t notice…lol. Wrong! What’s funny…MSC has historically been known for bland lackluster food. I feel like MSC food has become as good, if not better, than NCL. Don’t know if MSC has gotten better or NCL is much worse. Regardless, IMO they are equal. NCL has absolutely ZERO differentiators vs any other midclass cruise line. In this case, price, length and itinerary prevails. Not a good positioning for any brand.
  5. I agree with this 100%. Since Covid we rarely eat out. As a result, my cooking skills and menu choices have improved significantly. When we do dine out, it annoys me how much we pay for low quality food and service. I guess that’s one thing I like about cruising…while we have purchased meals as part of the cruise fare, your mind tells you it’s free.
  6. I agree with OP re: food quality and portion size. The silver lining with smaller portions…less bad food goes to waste.
  7. Wow, lucky you. If I was making an educated guess your bookings were done separately which would be 2 x Shore Excursion Discount 1 x Shore Excursion Credit and then they merged your two bookings and it added all the credits together 4x Shore Excursion Discount 2x Shore Excursion Credit Nice mistake😊
  8. I found your review enlightening. We avoid summer cruises overrun with kids…so VV could be a consideration. Thanks for the loyalty match tip…but I think it has ended☹️
  9. Shrinkflation is real. Here’s a good one. NCL announces their newest entertainment lineup. Introducing the Greatest Magic Show at Sea. Right before your very eyes, watch in disbelief as cookies magically vanish, and dark chocolate turns to white. The magic will have you gripping your seat as jumbo shrimp turn back time and become baby shrimp. Where an 8 oz filet becomes a strip sirloin. This jelly-packed show (previously jam-) will leave you scratching your head…and wanting more.
  10. Next to go…chocolate covered strawberries. WBTW, are now mostly covered with the fake white chocolate. Oh Lordy!
  11. There’s a four-legged cutie who can’t wait to see you🥰. The silver lining of getting off the ship. Thanks for taking us along!
  12. As a “southern gal”, I appreciate all magnolias. @Sugar Magnolia @MagnoliaBlossom. Y’all are classic.
  13. I, myself, cannot wait to be bombarded with CN phone calls, Park West flyers, Effy jewelry deals, port shopping information, reminders to change the time, apologies for missing Jamaica (for our convenience), notices of nightly entertainment changes. 95 more days.
  14. Thanks for the direction. Unfortunately it just says “Complimentary Dining” without any other designation. I really hope it will be “My Time” dining by the time we board. We are introducing my brother and his wife to MSC and want it to be as freestyle as can be. My DH and I typically book specialty dining or Aurea to avoid the mass dining…but their dietary tastes limited us to Butchers Cut.
  15. We sail in 3 weeks, Seashore out of PC, 3-day. Where are y’all see these docs with your dining choice on the app or online?
  16. At a minimum, It is now $49 for one strip which is 3 games. They typically start with basic bingo, next is 4-corners and last game is cover-all. The pot for game 1 is typically $125-175, Game 2 pot is around $250ish, Game 3 is $750-1000. The free cruise is done by raffle as Balconygirl9 described. We used to love playing bingo, but since the cost is so high now, I’d rather drop $50 in the slots. I will say that on the Bliss in November we played on the last sea day. It evidently was a “kid’s special” where I think they said kids cards were $10 per game card (not the series) and parents had to collect the winnings. It was fun to watch the kids get so excited when a number was called and they had it on their card.
  17. Yeah…and being sick probably didn’t help. Hope you have a great cruise. Eat well to recover!!
  18. Dang, what an awesome itinerary!! So sorry I missed it! As others have mentioned, it would be awesome if MSC offered it in ‘25. Looking forward to your review. Enjoy your cruise!! BTW, what hair color are you cruising with?
  19. And, often it depends how many seats you are looking for. It’s a lot easier to find one or two seats than 3+.
  20. Speaking of slippery places on Prima…the pool deck. On our cruise they were very diligent about swiffering the water away…but if you hit a wet part…watch out. We saw a few people who had the same dance moves as @cruiseny4life.
