  1. IMO, Prima is also not suited to Very Warm weather cruises either due to pool deck bring so small. Ideal itineraries are mild temperatures like New England, shoulder season Western and Eastern Caribbean, shoulder season Mediterranean, and Bermuda (mostly because you’re off the ship much of the time). We enjoyed Prima to Bermuda and would sail her or Viva given the right climate. Thanks @Liljo22 for sharing your experience. Wishing you a Happy New Year and a cruise-worthy 2024.
  2. Every time we’ve looked inside any Food Republic it has been nearly empty. IMO NCL should reconfigure FR to an Indulge concept. And on Prima and Viva, reconfigure to make buffet larger.
  3. Thank you @Liljo22 for your comprehensive review. Every time I read about the Prima (and now Viva) I immediately start searching cruises. One of my favorite, life long comfort meals is McDonalds Happy Meal. On the Bliss last month, I told my husband the fries were as good Mickey D’s…and have been every cruise since restart. I agree with @cruiseny4life. Change the fries…and there is going to be mutiny on the ship!! The Ile Flontante in LeBistro is my all time favorite dessert on NCL. Here’s my picture! if we were to sail out of Galveston, which airport is more convenient (getting from airport to cruise port)? Also, is there are area near the port which is better for an overnight stay?
  4. I do recall the saying, “I smell a rat.” Lol…thank you for appreciating my late night, down the rabbit hole, non”sense”. 🤓
  5. “Sense” not “smell”. Which is different than “scent”. Scent/Smell are more closely related. One might say “scent” is pleasant while “smell” is not. Oh well (another word which can have a “smell”). Well, this might be a little deep for many. Like if you can follow my craziness 😊 @ChiefMateJRK@cruiseny4life
  6. Love the genesis of Haven Lite. Unfortunately I’ve never yelled “BINGO”!! In fact, NCL Bingo has gotten so expensive ($49 for one ticket strip/3 games) that I told my Hubby that I’d rather put it in the slots where the odds of us winning something was much greater.
  7. That’s an awesome flight/experience. What airport did you fly from?
  8. YES, and may I suggest carrying onboard a couple bottles of good champagne (even if you have +)…and remember your bottle stopper. Don’t forget to bring your own M&Ms, gummy bears and mixed nuts😂. While we’ve never sailed Haven, we find CBS comfortable. We also tip (bribe) our steward daily. IMO in steerage the daily recognition really helps deliver on @Sthrngary Haven lite. Looking forward to your review…have an amazing time “herding cats (or is that 🐀)”. 😊
  9. The Sky. We booked a 9-day cruise in late 2025. Lisbon, Fungal, 3) Canary Islands, Tenirefe, Casablanca, Lisbon. I was really hesitant because of the small ship, but we couldn’t pass up the itinerary. We’re really hoping The Sky doesn’t disappoint.
  10. Last month, it was indeed Teppanyaki for dining and directly across the Social for entertainment. Have an amazing cruise…we thoroughly enjoyed ours.
  11. Thank you @APDMOM. Your reviews are always entertaining and informative. Looking forward to your next adventure. Merry Christmas and Happiest New Year.
  12. @BirdTravels gave the best info based on technology often not working upon boarding. In fact, we stopped trying to connect to NCL internet until after sail away. Just ask the NCL greeter once you first get onboard. They will be able to direct you to both entertainment and dining reservations.
  13. Odd…on our booking confirmation for upcoming Aurea Balcony (not suites) it states: • 24-hour room service (free delivery) • Breakfast in cabin (free delivery) Do you recall what the delivery fee was?
  14. Thanks for posting. We just made our booking for next November. I’m so excited…but 300+ days away is a loooong time. I’ll be looking for everyone’s posts and pics.
  15. Thank you…your first-hand knowledge is much appreciated. Out of curiosity, when you sailed last month, did your YC upgrade come as a bid?
  16. We just booked an ocean facing balcony Aurea experience for November 1-8, 2024, round trip Barcelona. Here are a couple questions I have. 1. With Aurea experience (not an Aurea suite) do we have complimentary access to thermal area? 2. Is the Les Dune MDR separate from other MDR or is it just a separate area of one of the other MDRs (I’ve read conflicting info)? 3. Once on board can the Butchers Cut Dining Experience be purchased alone for the price shown on the menu, or do you have to buy the package of 2 or more? 4. Since temperatures will be in the high 50s-60s, will the Top 20 Solarium be warm enough to enjoy? 5. On other MSC ships you could get lattes and other specialty coffees at many bars as part of the Easy Plus package…is this also true onthe World Europa (except the Starbucks like coffee shop)? 6. Here’s a very American question for my husband: Do they have Coors Light beer? Thanks in advance for any insight you can share.
  17. Lol…yes, wrong tribute. But so happy to have sparked your future delight. I hope you get your dog sledding adventure. I think the best way to explore Mendenhall is from the top. OMG…jelly 🥰
  18. @phillygwm wow..the water color looks tropical. What month did you travel?
  19. When I inquired several months ago, I was told 90 days before our mid-May disembarkation. If at 90 days it’s not available …I guess I’ll wait for 50. What is your sailing date?
  20. Where does one actually find “a can of worms”? 😂 What an awesome update. Thanks for sharing.
  21. I guess it could be considered your hobby! Thanks for replying to my post.
  22. I appreciate your perspective and information. I’m of the Boomer generation and more often look past ecological impacts. Not because I don’t care…mostly because of my ignorance. Thanks for reminding me.
