  1. Is there additional costs on Harvest Cay? I see umbrellas were free…what about food and beverage? Were there other activities you could do that carried a charge? Do you recommend Harvest Cay?
  2. Well it did say it was a Latitudes cruise. But I find it interesting that you had to sail by 4/23…which I wonder if both sailings on 4/16 and 4/23 would have the special offerings. We may have taken up the offer had we not already booked a Prima cruise at end of April. We took a Southern Living Cruise one year…many years ago…and the added-value events and gratis was well worth the cruise price. I kinda wished we had booked this cruise over Prima.🤷‍♀️
  3. Yes you can order drinks with dinner with the drink package. You may want to bring a cocktail with you to dinner..as recently the drink service at dinner is a little slower.
  4. Oh Lord…so sorry about that. Your September cruise to Canada May have been the one where I realized anything was possible when cruising. Well at least you now know to pack some extra warmer clothes…just in case. Best wishes for docking in Bermuda.
  5. Logo creation is so much more difficult than what we see on the surface. In addition to the branding elements @amygutman mentions, there is the execution factor. What might look perfect on a brochure has to be scalable to outdoor building signs, highway signs, smokestacks, all the way down to an imprint on soap. Loose elements (like the NCL waves) are very difficult to manage on signage. Spaces between elements may look great on paper…but when scaled up or down, they can look outrageous or disappear all together. Same with words or typeface with serifs. I find it interesting that the registered trademark now follows the words “cruise line” vs. earlier logos where it followed “Norwegian”. They must have updated their registration to now own the whole name. Typically you wouldn’t be able to register a generic phrase like “cruise line”. I, too, find the current logo the most pleasing.
  6. I also recommend a cabin near the forward elevator/stairs. Deck 12 was perfect for the stairs. Three decks up to the buffet and pool…and 5 down to the theater.
  7. As @ChiefMateJRK stated…for either Taxi (stand) or Uber/Lyft you walk the same way. Taxi is to the left upon entering garage and you crossover the driveway then left for Uber.
  8. It is all weather dependent from what I’ve read. I fully expect we make it into Bermuda…but I at least am aware that it could be changed.
  9. Congrats on your blood sugar and weight loss! Being healthy is a blessing that we have some control over. Now…about being sick after cruising. EVERY cruise we’ve taken since restart we’ve come home sick (once covid and 3x a cold). And yet, we’re still cruising. Last year we missed most of our Alaska cruise due to a norovirus outbreak onboard (I can feel your husband’s misery). And yet, we’re still cruising. Obv the germs/virus can come from anywhere on the trip. It’s time for you to plan your next cruise so you can start your “live”…bahaha
  10. 26 days till Prima, NYC to Bermuda. Really hoping the winds allow the ship to dock in Bermuda…it’s a bucket list item for some reason. 🤷‍♀️ But I’ve warned my DH that this could be a cruise to nowhere…lol. Or worse…Canada with a spring wardrobe.
  11. Oh yeah I remember that now…we got stuck hauling luggage down from 6 to 5 on disembarkation.
  12. Also , on the Epic the port and starboard elevator banks are not all together. When reboarding the ship we always crossed over to the other side of the ship to catch the elevator without a crowd,
  13. Escalator runs between deck 5 and 6, midship. we have found there to be an art to catching elevators. If you want to go up…stand in front of an elevator on a deck lower than you. If you want to go down, stand in front of a door where the elevator is above you. In doing this, you are often the first people to get on.
  14. Thanks…via the app, online or phone call? It will be interesting if you will be able to book entertainment at 26 days.
  15. Thanks…I think your Latitude status was what gave you the green light to book at 125. I’ll just have to wait a few more days. But…after this cruise, our Platinum status will kick in…yay!
  16. Thanks. Probably your Latitude status..as others on our roll call with status have been successful.
  17. One of the stated benefits for Club Balcony Suites is early dining and entertainment reservations. I recently read where someone in a club balcony successfully booked online at 125 days. Personally, the app has never allowed us to do early dining reservations when staying in club balcony. We’ve had to wait until 120 days…I suppose I could have called and asked. Now that entertainment reservations can be made in advance (26 days for some, 21 days for most) I “assumed” that Club Balcony should be part of the early group. We are 26 days out today…and not able to make entertainment reservations via the app, online, via chat or a phone call. Just curious if anyone has had success being Club Balcony and early reservations?
  18. We use GeoBlue for travel outside the US and we have Medicare. The way I’ve read the the definition of Primary Plan is that Medicare qualifies. The statement about coverage limits in excess of $50,000 per incident or per year is related to your coverage within the US. Basically, GeoBlue wants you to have good insurance in the US before they will agree to cover you outside of the US.
  19. So sad for your loss. Our pets are so special. 😿❤️‍🩹
  20. And, I didn’t mean to “pack” the pet sitter…but that could be interesting…haha.
  21. Remember to pack extra meds…you never know when you may want to do a B2B…IIRC. Oh yeah…a backup pet sitter too! 😊
  22. My first thought was, “this is your brain on drugs”…then I remembered you were too young for that messsge! So I put on my 16 y/o hat (borrowed it from my boys who are your age)…alas…I see it too🤣
  23. Yes, you got cheated on portion size. This is ours from the Epic in February …and it was the “appetizer “ size…not an entree size. Looks to be twice as big. Agree it wasn’t great…dry…no cheese in between layers. At least it had a little cheese sauce on the plate. Wouldn’t order it again.
  24. I value your opinion. $5 per bag or $5 total for 2 (or more) bags? We’ve been doing $5 total for two and reading this thread has made me question our amount.
