Absolute rubbish, there have not been any cases of a cruise ship not docking at Dover due to immigrants. Dover is one of the busiest ports in the World and has around 40 ferries a day to France, so 1 extra cruise ship will not make any difference. Andy.

Connect HDMI device to TV on Celebrity Eclipse
Brews'n'Cruise replied to italnsd's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Here are a three suggestions for you to try: Press and hold the 0 button for 10 seconds, this may allow you to change source. Press Mute - 1 - 1 - 9 - OK, this might take you into Hotel Mode. Can you unplug Celebrity's input? Looks like it's in the PC port from your photo. Do that while the TV is off and then switch it on. Andy. -
UK Tranatlantic cruisers can you help re flights?
Brews'n'Cruise replied to Tony UK's topic in UK Cruisers
I used Flights by Celebrity for a one-way back from Fort Lauderdale to Manchester last year. We flew with Virgin (well Delta to Orlando and then Virgin to Manchester) and it was around £500 per person in Premium Economy. Prices vary all the time and Easter is going to be expensive, and they'll be around £200 of taxes for leaving the UK so your fare is likely to be higher than we paid. You should be able to get a one-way from Barcelona on someone like Easyjet, you don't get penalised for one-way flights with them. Andy. -

Ascent 12/22/24 Holiday cruise dining schedule missing???
Brews'n'Cruise replied to Spyder2up's topic in Celebrity Cruises
This will be because it is a holiday sailing, Celebrity don't always release the Speciality dining until 90 days before holiday sailings. The prices are quite often a fair bit higher then the regular prices and there will likely be gala menus on the "big" days which are an even higher price. Andy. -
Here's another vote for the sunset veranda. We've done bump-out cabins a few times and a sunset once and preferred the sunset. We did get a small amount of soot on a few days and it is a much longer walk to the rear of the ship whereas the bump-out rooms are near to the elevators, so that's worth you considering. Andy.

Knowing how good Celebrity's IT is, you might even both get double Captain's Club points 🙂 -
Upgrade to Premium from Classic Drink Pkg -- SCORE!!!
Brews'n'Cruise replied to LadyBerard's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I checked my June Infinity cruise when I saw the original thread yesterday and there was a discount of 20%; after seeing this thread today I checked again and the discount is 53.33% so I just did the upgrade, it's the biggest discount I've seen. Andy. -
I don't think you need to worry about dealing with Malta before you get married, you will send all your paperwork to the Celebrity Wedding department a few months before the ceremony and your marriage certificate will get mailed to you several weeks after the ceremony, this is based on my experience of getting married on the Silhouette in 2016. We had a small ceremony in Murano and it was really nice, and the crew treated us fabulously for the rest of the cruise. Good Luck, Andy.

Wedding In September on the X Solstice
Brews'n'Cruise replied to yoyoyomonkeysss's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. I got married on the Silhouette 7 years ago so have some first-hand experience. Celebrity were fantastic and treated us really well through the entire cruise, it was a really special experience. We got married in Murano, I am not sure how many venues they offer but Murano is probably a good place for a small group, there were only 4 in our party. We took the photo package offered by the ship for a wedding, this is totally different to any other photo package they might offer and it cost over $1K, not sure how much it would be now. The photographer took us all over the ship, it lasted an hour or so, so you get lots of opportunities for photos, and the package included all the photos printed and digital. The Spa will offer all sorts of packages for you to get looking your finest for the ceremony. Andy. -
I booked a cabana on the Beyond in March and it did include the 6 beers, bottle of Champagne or Vodka (we got a litre bottle of Tito's), they also had a small menu of food items that were included, burgers, fresh fruit etc. The description on the website does not bear any relation to what you get onboard. Andy.

drink package info and on board credit info
Brews'n'Cruise replied to spearmint's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I think you'll find that Celebrity do still do the multi-bottle wine packages, they were listed in the wine menu in the MDR on my Reflection cruise last month and seemed like a reasonable value. I didn't take too much notice as I had a beverage package but you might find that this is still an option when you cruise, and you could use your OBC to pay for it. Andy. -
Duplicate post.

And in true Celebrity IT fashion, this is the email I received today for my cruise in the Reflection in 3 weeks, and there haven't been any packages in the Cruise Planner for months. Andy.
-
Thanks for posting this as I was wondering what the current situation was. We have booked the photo package on every cruise we've been on in the past, but it looks like we will give it a miss on our Reflection cruise next month. Andy.

I've had the Premium Celebration package before, twice in fact, and thought it was very good value, the only problem was my DW got a taste for Dom Perignon! I will probably order it again on my next cruise as we'd book a speciality restaurant anyway so this is a "cheap" way to get a bottle of Dom. Andy.

I've checked in a whole case of alcohol before in Fort Lauderdale as I'd bought bottles in America to bring back home on a Transatlantic. I got called to the naughty room, as I'd expected, and they just stored it and returned it at the end of the cruise. Andy.

This hasn't happened yet, I was just quoting from the FAQs on Celebrity's website. The change goes live on 19th December for making a booking and affects sailings in early January, start date varies slightly by ship. I fully expect that for European cruises the limits will be higher to include the gratuity as is Celebrity's current practice, I'd expect them to be $12 and $20. Andy.

Celebrity Cruises website exchange rates
Brews'n'Cruise replied to laslomas's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I winder if this is down to the 18% gratuity for the drink package already being included in the GBP price, but would be added at checkout on the USD price. Celebrity does have a habit of including the gratuity for UK cruises so that would make sense, and the prices you show for the wi-fi and shore excursion are lower in GBP than USD which would match the current (awful) exchange rate. Andy.
