C4HCG replied to george_sf's topic in Celebrity Cruises
āManyā is an exaggeration. A very small number here on this thread and not many more on the other thread you mention, a small minority I would say. And āattackingā really š¤ššš -
Celebrity's actual deceit on Move Up - bid for upgrade

But some people never fail to pass on the opportunity to continue with their negativity about all things Celebrity as if they are unique in things like this. -
Letting kids in the Solarium for a couple of hours-Opinions?
C4HCG replied to cruisekitty22's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Youāve seen this on Celebrity? On cruises weāve done with them thereās never been more than a handful of them on, maybe enough to monopolise a hot tub. -

Are we back to three evening dress codes again?
C4HCG replied to cruisestitch's topic in Celebrity Cruises
You have some bad luck on your cruises NMT, you experience things that we luckily have never! Have you seen this often or a one off? A bit like the kids you see running riots in corridors, weāve been lucky enough not to see that either. Let us know if you book any further cruises, we will avoid them as you seem to attract bad behaviour š -
Forbes rates Celebrity #3 in Customer Service ----
C4HCG replied to Jim_Iain's topic in Celebrity Cruises
And many on cruise critic remain happy with the product despite being told its being royalised or whatever the term you and others use is. Whether thatās true or not doesnāt bother me in the slightest. -

Forgetting the welcome drinks and gift baskets, we have no complaints on the customer service we receive from Celebrity at all. So no surprise itās ranked 3! -
I have a quick question - do they sell Apple Watches in the i-lounge does anyone know? Thanks.

Concierge class do you have to ask for wine and canapes?
C4HCG replied to sunsetme's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Agree. Itās actually more annoying to get them when you donāt want them as totally wasteful. And if you do want them really easy to request. -
Eh? Explain how. Jean87510 never mentioned flip flops

I get more offended by peopleās behaviour than what people wear. Bad behaviour can ruin things, if someone has for example worn shorts in the MDR I wouldnāt even notice.

To be fair the post quoted did read very entitled and was slightly patronising. Just my opinion. -

Thatās the trick - just ask. Works every time for us.

If we need anything I either ring or stroll up the corridor and ask the first staff member I see telling them my room number, always sorted very quickly as they take it from there and are always happy to help.

Best areas to stay in London pre-cruise?
C4HCG replied to NMTraveller's topic in British Isles/Western Europe
Go on a city cruise from Westminster just near to the embarkment tube station and Westminster to Greenwich - stops at Tower of London on way there. Live commentary- as an Englishman even teaches me stuff. Brings a tear to my eye - love England - dreary as it is. Then get an open tour bus tour - brilliant too. Last tip - walk to Camden. Up regent street over Marylebone street and through Regentās Park, great walk. -

Mayfair is a small area. Just saying. All of the west end is Westminster. London is a place to the east, behind the tower. -

I would recommend my pal NMT premier inn county hall. Just behind the London eye. Stayed there often with my family. Brilliant location. And do the Houses of Parliament tour if you can. And go the the ship and shovel pub - two pubs in one. And the Sherlock Holmes. And my favourite London pub - coal hole on the strand. Savoy tup just off the strand good too. -
Rubbish. Granted there will be many of that range not the majority in MY EXPERIENCE

Does it? Go for it and say all of the positive butlerā¦ā¦.. lovely to see lots of very positive reviews from not suite travellers but people enjoying themselves on a Celebrity cruise. Who knew. -
Itās 5768 miles from Leeds to Japan if that helps - sorry I couldnāt help that š. Think you need to be more specific and maybe copy the itinerary here.

I think the cruise industry is part of tourism so not sure how it is destroying it. The number of hotels etc built on these resorts I would think equally to blame. A complex issue as what would these resorts economies look like without land and cruise tourism, not good I donāt think.
