  1. Yes it was both on the paper and in the app. I would never have found it on the app if it wasn't for my (technology challenged) great aunt who found it on the Funtimes. Served at 3 on both our sea days in the MDR. My 6yo loved it as an excuse to have more dessert 😆. Best advice I ever got on CC was to bring my own tea bags though.
  2. Yes, and drive people choose to fly in the day of cruise too. Not saying people aren't entitled to make their choices. I'm saying there are some choices that allow for circumstances that aren't always in our control. I advocate for getting a second form of gov ID even if you're not traveling. If you're military, good for you. If you have a green card, there it is. If not, a passport is a choice too. OP I hope you were able to resolve your situation.
  3. Wallets are known to lost, purses potentially stolen. Having a second form of gov ID in a secondary location is a good idea and makes it a heck of a lot easier to replace what may be lost/stolen. This is not the first time someone has been on CC frantically looking for advice because they've lost their only form of identification.
  4. I did the same thing, but since I didn't really want it, I called Carnival and they were able to remove it.
  5. I walked past those stairs at least 3 times before I realized, hey stairs. Of course they never ended up being the most efficient way to get to where I was going, but did use em once just to explore. Our CD was Erin just in September. Wonder where she went?
  6. We're just in an inside room. I like the location but didn't necessarily see the value add in the extra cost for a balcony. The room does seem smallish though. Is there room under the bed for suitcases? Previously cruised DCL and Carnival. Every cruise line is gonna have positives and negatives so I'm exploring what suits us best. As far as the shows, I'm reading some ships require reservations is that right? Would I book the activity once onboard?
  7. This is good info. Does anyone know if these times are consistent fleet wide?
  8. Just booked what will be my first ever NCL cruise and have so many questions! Can you please tell me what you liked/disliked about this particular ship? I'll be on with MIL, DD and DS so I'm extra curious about family activities, booking dining, shows, and excursions. Also is the $50 excursion credit more like a gimmick (i.e. excursion prices inflated to cover the "discount") or comparable overall?
  9. Ooh that's really splitting hairs!! How frustrating.
  10. Forgive my ignorance, but what's the point of putting a brewery on the ship rather than leaving it on land? Is the beer made with regular ship tap water?
  11. Makes no sense. He stripped out of everything except for his socks? Was this before or after he went overboard?
  12. I once used their price match and pointed out their excursion description said "a short walk from port". Since neither buying direct nor Carnival included transportation I was able to make an apples to apples comparison. On the other hand the other excursion we did included transportation and several different stops. Pricing it all out separately plus transportation was a difference of $20 per person. I decided the piece of mind was worth it and in the end, the tour operator was a lot more knowledgeable and shared a lot more facts about the town than a taxi/uber would have. The added value of the overall experience was definitely there for us.
  13. Last cruise I was able to check in for all adults in our group. I had all their docs and info ahead of time. I made all the reservations and paid for it all and it was all linked and I had access to both staterooms on my account.
  14. Most days they closed for lunch for us, but I did notice on one of the port days they remained open and took the kids to the buffet. Our cruise had very few kids but they still enjoyed going. I did like that they have a schedule of activities in a brochure, and it's also listed on the HUB app so the kids can kinda choose when they feel like going.
  15. Oh dang. The NCL website is notoriously bad. It seems it's quoting you the double occupancy rate divided by 5 passengers. Obviously that's wrong since only passengers 3 and 4 sail "free". Incredibly frustrating! And misleading to say the least.
