  1. I've been to Quebec this summer and it's hilly by definition. The old town with it's boulders is not an easy walk as well. I would go for the hiking poles if possible.
  2. As I understand it, the 7th floor will be changed in a more Italian atmosphere with Bellini's, Gigi's and Sabatini's. Fingers crossed they also change the routing when working on it.
  3. Yeah, well based on my experience and some on these boards, I think that if you want to eat there, book now and take care of the details later. I have little confidence in "automatically switching bookings". I hope i'm too negative and everything works out fine for you.
  4. It was a genuine question, so thanks for your answer. Learned something new today.
  5. Watch out! I noticed my bookings for Bistro sur le Mer weren't changed to Catch by Rudy. Just deleted in the app😪. I quickly rebooked Rudy, i suggest you do the same before it's sold out!
  6. One confirmation: https://cruisefever.net/princess-cruises-adding-new-signature-seafood-restaurant-to-several-ships/
  7. I think the golden rule is: always take your passport with you! What if something happens, you miss the ship, get an accident or whatever. I understand the concept of a closed loop itinerary and you don't take your passport with you when traveling between states for example. With a stop in Canada i definitely would take my passport with me and even when going on a cruise straight to Alaska. As an European i always wonder about these questions, is it not standard or normal that every American has a passport?
  8. Seems like the terminal changed, you can do your own query. On departure day it is also shown on the signs in the harbour so thats also an option.

  10. Yes, waiting for these and the Hawaii cruises as well. Didn't they release them around may/june last year? Curious for when it' scheduled this year.
  11. taxi's have a fixed price i think. Was cheaper then Uber when i was there last summer.
  12. I'm following the adventures of people on the 2023 HAL World Cruise and the Princess World cruise thread here on Cruise Critics. I've sailed both HAL and Princess extensivly and love them both. For our 'normal' Cruises we prefer Prinsess but for a possible future World cruise i'm biased towards HAL. The first thing i'm wondering is how adapted are the services to the World Cruise? It seems that on HAL the menu's, entertainment, lectures and events etc etc for the whole itinerary are setup with the world cruise in mind. A lot of changes so that people who are onboard for +- 128 days get a lot of changes. I have the assumption that on Princess it's more like a "standard" Princess cruise but longer, is that true? But i might be mistaken on that. I also noticed that the HAL World Cruises got an enthousiastic and active folowing and it seems more popular then for example Princess World cruises. Is that true or is my opinion colored by the things i've read so far? I haven't seen much site or blogs about HAL vs Princess World Cruises, do they exist? Love to hear all the info and experiences! On to preparing for our aug 5th sailing on the Enchanted Princess in the Mediterranean.
  13. I think there are 3 options when you don't want to use the cable car (we'll go this summer so i'll find out): walk the steps upwards from the cruise port to Fira (or by donkey) go to the commercial port, Athinios Ferry Port (with an excursion for example) and then move by taxi or bus there are boat transfers from the cruise port to ammoudi, then up by bus
  14. The prices seem to be around 140-150 https://allarounditaly.net/transfers/transfer-price/ https://www.romecabs.com/transferservice/civitavecchia/ https://www.civitavecchiashuttleexpress.com
  15. Perhaps a strange question but, what's the brand of your sun hat you're wearing in this pic?

The prices seem to be around 140-150 https://allarounditaly.net/transfers/transfer-price/ https://www.romecabs.com/transferservice/civitavecchia/ https://www.civitavecchiashuttleexpress.com used the last one in 2019 and intend to book them for our trip in 2023 as well. Heard good things about the first one as well, think it was in tomsportguides ??
  17. In the summer of 2022 we did a new england cruise with the caribbean princess and first experienced the option of self assist disembarkation. This is perfect! Just pack your bags and walk of the ship.
  18. Hello, what form is that, where can i find it?
  19. On Caribbean Princess august 5th it was an option in Quebec. We just walked of the ship between our time slot (8-10) no questions asked. Very nice. Disembarking depends on customs and terminal being ready. In the US it's probably very quickly after arrival time. The exact times are being communicated by the ship.
