$100,000 for a Bottle of Wine! Just, Why?

I've never bought a bottle of wine with the intent to resell. But some of the bottles have gone up so much in value, I'm faced with the dilemma of: "Do I open and drink a $______ bottle of wine or should I sell it?" -
These are the people for whom the phrase "Good Day, Sir! I said Good Day!" was invented.

I think we Americans confuse the concepts of High Tea and Afternoon Tea. High Tea sounds like it is the highest and best tea event - High Tea as opposed to "Low Tea". Whereas Afternoon Tea sounds like what you drink in the afternoon when you need a little caffeine boost.

Definitely. Those tall thin flutes really don't let the wine open up.

Those sommeliers are delicate. Just thinking about them wrongly, they will break. I've heard the Tritans are good; but I've never tried them.

I suppose they will know they have a problem if the La Dame restaurant doesn't fill up on the cruises after the price change. If enough people keep paying the new price (even if they aren't CC posters), then Silversea will remain happy. I'm sure they did an economic analysis before deciding the raise the prices.

Don't get me wrong... the ones they have are completely fine. I just don't like the look for whatever reason, compared to Riedels cabernet glasses.

If you don't want your Riedels, send them to me. LOL I use Riedel for almost everything, except for burgundy, I have beautiful Lenox glasses for those that I snagged before they discontinued the line.

Just a personal thing. I like the Riedel stemware look better.
