  1. It is becoming quite obvious that the solution to "Chair Hogging" has not been unanimously agreed upon nor has it been conquered. No need to look for other pet-peeves or problems to be listed at this point. "We need a bigger boat." (JAWS) 😬
  2. Big difference, you paid for the seat and are entitled to "Hog It." In fact, you are licensed to "Hog It." I pity the poor person trying to take "your seat" on "your Hog"! You just might go "Hog Wild" on them and rightly so. 😬🤣
  3. Still waiting for confirmation that the "Chair Hog" issue has been solved. One miracle at a time. 😯
  4. When in doubt, randomly accuse a Pinnacle wearing a nametag of anything, anything at all, make it up if you have to. It is always easy to hide behind a computer screen and make things up. 🤥
  5. I emphasized your last line. @Biker19 commented earlier, we are talking about RCI IT. They have a hard enough time trying to get information synchronized across their websites. 🤣
  6. I thought my making youthful elevator pushbutton perpetrators sit in the Diamond Lounge during "Happy Hour" was cruel. You are taking it to a whole new level. My hat is off to you. 😬🤣
  7. Gotta laugh with that comment. I responded to a different thread months ago about how "The Yoots" (My Cousin Vinny), play the boomboxes and drive their cars like they are just looking to get attention and realized I had become the "Old Fart" who was yelling at me forty years ago! 😅🤣😉🤣
  8. Interesting opinion: I booked all three of my cruises this year before any notice of menu and cabin service changes. I have booked one cruise in November 2024 for our anniversary because I got a very good balcony deal through my TA. My booking any more cruises for 2024 will depend on my experiences this year. My Oasis MDR meals in 'September were disappointing, I am hoping it was a one off. The Windjammer food was very acceptable at that time. I am trying to tamp down my expectations and keep an open mind.
  9. Yes, we are the underworld cruisers hiding in interior deck three cabins, the steerage, hoping to ascend the C&A Society of the upper elites. We are always happy to venture forth onto the Lido deck and watch the sunrise appear on a new cruise day. We are on the bow, waiting for the theme song of the "Titanic" to be sung by Celine Dion. 😁 Be afraid, be very afraid of being stuck on a ship with my DW and I on an "Around the World Cruise in Eighty Days." 🤣😂😉🤣
  10. @island lady It's all fun and games until someone wants to touch your cruise points! 😧😡🤬
  11. Interesting hypothesis: "If this is going to be the last splurge vacation for a while, I am not going to waste the time on a shopping experience I can get anywhere." 🤔
  12. A honest opinion and viewpoint which I sense absolutely no vitriol, just observations with honest personal explanations and thoughts. I noticed a huge difference between my April 2022 cruise on the Anthem (reduced passenger occupancy with covid vaccinations and testing required) and my September 2022 cruise on the Oasis at full occupancy (at least two per cabin, not sure how much over that it was). This was before reduced menu offerings and reductions in service. I will not repeat your comments, but I find they do match what I saw on the Oasis. I sail in under thirty days on the Enchantment of the Seas. The ship is sold-out and no longer advertising any cabins. The few rooms that have been offered in the past months were more than double what they were when I booked. It is going to be interesting to see if I notice any of the changes affecting my cruise experience. Still a high amount of revenge travel going on this year. I do not think anything will change from high occupancy until after the summer of 2024. Many of the cruises up to that point have low room availability when I do mock bookings.
  13. Time off for bad behavior or time-out in the corner for bad behavior, you must have struck a nerve. It happens. I also plead "Guilty as charged." So refreshing to see a person say, "Yeah, I did it." You will never be charged with lack of candor. Sometimes everyone goes to the racetrack hoping to see a crash, as long as they are not in it, it is fine. I noticed your observation too! 🤔
  14. And the sophisticated ones say, "Koko K". 🤣
  15. Kraft Velveeta cheese orange slices were created by the same person who brought us Twinkies. Both are impervious to almost all chemical reactions. Great shelf life for Doomsday preppers! No refrigeration required until it is opened. 😁 I enjoyed the cheese plates. It is hard to argue against this being a downgrade situation. 😢
  16. Do not even whisper those words, 🤐. I am sure someone will say the posting was a "mistake" from RCI and reverse the decision to get those charges going. 😬 Just look at some of the recent "package" announcement snafus. 🤥
  17. This just sounds too familiar! I have been accused of being hard-headed and I have a few cranial fissures to prove it. 🤣🤣🤣
  18. Easily could have been read that way. I might need to be a little clearer in the presentation. I tend to think that most people would want to maximize the savings by using them toward more expensive dinners.
  19. I agree with you that the 3 night dining package does not seem to change price. The price seems to vary due to the size of the ship or the date of sailing.
  20. Was that more than three total? I was trying to mention that you do not get "six" (lunch and dinner same day for three days) for three dinner purchases.
  21. This is about what I have found too. I booked three cruises, a seven, eight, and nine night before December of last year for this year. Same prices for 2024 is about 75% more and my current 2023 cruises are almost sold-out months ahead of time with the final cabins going for about twice what I paid. High demand and people are buying at the higher prices. Nothing we can do about it but space out the cruises looking for an opportunity to find lower prices on occasion.
  22. Since the covid testing and vaccinations have, for the most part, been rescinded, I think many revenge vacations have been booked "with price not being a concern." Not as much from long-term repeat cruisers as much as new cruisers to RCI. After this wave is over, how many will keep repeating at the current pricing goals which RCI deems a value? Ironically, the very unhappy "never cruise again" posts do tend to perplex me. As many have pointed out, except to vent their frustration or unhappiness, it confirms that cruising is not for everyone. Less competition for the cabins in the future. 🙂
  23. When I was younger, I definitely was more confrontational. Only after comparing the results of my confrontational and non-confrontational moments, I try to make sure I know what I feel is an appropriate response and solution before I approach people. What would satisfy me as a solution and what is possible as a remedy? In most cases, it works. In rare cases, I just stay as long as possible in line (at guest services) until a get a viable solution or an absolute no. My final vote on a discretionary vacation is not get mad or even, I take my dollars elsewhere. I am still cruising. How much will depend on my experiences.
