  1. If you are in a room for four with the beds that fold down from the wall I would go with twins as the beds on the wall make it tight to get into a queen bed.
  2. If your PVP is not taking care of you, call in and get someone else. I originally had someone who was not good at returning emails so I called in and was assigned someone else. I now have a great PVP that always beats the internet rate, and has been fantastic about getting me great cabin locations. He has saved me thousands of dollars and many headaches. YMMV
  3. I do not know if you can do it online, but my last cruise I paid for it with gift cards and had money left over on the gift card, so I went to guest services and they applied what was left to OBC.
  4. The deck above the bridge can be accessed from the Lido deck all the forward.
  5. I had the fillet once and I will not be ordering that again. It was fairly tender but lacked flavor. Coming from the Midwest we have really good beef so $19 extra for a mediocre steak was not a good value to me.
  6. I have learned to keep my hands away from my face. That and at the buffet I wash my hands before and after I get my food. Everyone has had their hands on the serving tongs. I am not sure if this is scientific, but the last several cruises I have been on where I have ate multiple deserts I have never been sick. So I am going with that.
  7. As of a month ago they had the hexagonal mats. We did not play pickle ball but shot some baskets. What I did like was having the ping pong inside in half the conference room forward deck seven.
  8. I was on the Emerald last month and had issues with the water temp in the shower. It was either hot or scalding hot. My friend who was in another cabin had no issues. Other than that I really enjoyed the ship. I like having a full promenade deck. Food and service were both excellent.
  9. Maslow needed to cruise so he would feel Jung again.
  10. Ship - Emerald Princess Class - Crown Deck - Emerald Cabin # - E425 Category - OV Ocean view Obstructed Port/Starboard/Bow/Stern - Starboard Connects With Cabin # No Accessible - No Quiet - Yes Balcony Size - N/A View - Obstructed (looking over lifeboat) Privacy Issues - No Wind - No Soot - No Problems - The water in the bathroom was hot or hotter. No cold water in the sink, stool, or shower. After four visits by the plumber, they were able to get the water to a temperature that was suitable for taking a shower, but still no real control over the temperature. Comments - The other issue that I had was the bed was set up as a queen and it kept sliding apart. After three tries they finally tied the the two beds together and put on a thicker mattress topper which solved the problem. One thing I will mention is when the bed is set up as a queen in this cabin, there are jump beds that fold down on each side, so getting in and out of bed is not convenient. I would hit my shoulder if I did not stoop down. If you are a family of four this room layout would be OK, but I would not recommend this room unless the water is fixed. Overall I still had a great cruise and the cabin location was handy. Princess gave me $150 future cruise credit which is good.
  11. I was on the Emerald last week and they had the table tennis on the Fiesta deck six forward. It is right before the Princess theater in the starboard side of conference center. They had two tables set up and a nice assortment of paddles and balls. I only played there once, but it was a nice set up.
  12. My favorite thing is there is no amusement park, go-karts, or rodeo on the Lido deck.
  13. You will be fine on that side of the ship. I was in Emerald 425 and this was directly out from my cabin maybe 75 feet. 2023-12-03 08.51.31.mov
  14. I was on the previous Emerald cruise and be prepared to hear a subwoofer blasting at 7:00am from the port at Trinidad if you are on the port side. I was not a happy camper hearing that all day. The rest of the cruise was great.
  15. I received notice my bid was accepted today. Leaving in seven days on the Emerald Princess. I had a bid from a gty inside to a balcony for $500 total, and an obstructed ocean view for $130 total. I won on the obstructed ocean view. I would have preferred the balcony, but the cabin they assigned me is center ship which is still good.
  16. Boarding information showed up on my app today. I sail in nine days, November 25th. I shows a QR code and says check-in window 11:00am - 2:00pm. I had my medallion mailed and it showed up two days ago. I have a couple of bids in so it says Deck: pending.
  17. Try getting a bag at Costco or Sam's club. Good luck!
  18. I will be on the Emerald for 14 days, Nov. 25. I am in an inside bidding $500 for a balcony, so good to hear of your success. I originally bid $420 (the minimum was $400) and got an email last week saying that I had been outbid but was welcome to bid a higher amount to improve my chances. So I bumped it up to $500. Fingers crossed. Enjoy your cruise!
  19. Maybe the Enchanted? I know they leave Barcelona Nov. 12 on a 26 day med/ta cruise.
  20. I have a solo gty inside cabin booked for 14 nights the end of November and bid on a balcony about a month ago and the minimum bid was $200, so I bid $225 ($450 total). I checked my bid today and now the minimum bid has now dropped down to $150. I am wondering if I should lower my bid, or just let it ride and figure I will have a better shot at a balcony.
  21. My last cruise the medallion was supposed to be gold but looked more of an olive drab green.
  22. I emailed my shareholder's obc request twice over a month's time and never heard back from Princess. I finally called customer service and they were very helpful. They had me resend it again, and for some reason it was not going through, so I resent it through a different email account and it went right through. They had my obc added on my account while I was on the phone with customer service. I had minimal waiting and am very happy with their customer service team. Nice job Princess!
  23. It was Coke on my March cruise on the Ruby Princess.
  24. The OP was asking about a "hot sheet" from Princess that lists cruises for the next 6-9 months that have reduced/waived solo supplements, so evidently their situation is different. The great thing about cruising is that there is something for just about everyone, or as my Dad used to say "Let your billfold be your guide".
  25. Had C753 on the Ruby. I would take any aft balcony.
