Got on just intime to see Regal sailing out. No love boat today? Bah humbug to the Regal!

As those of a us of certain vintage know all to well, time moves along too fast as we near the end. Here it is mid March, and our sailaway season has only about a month to go from Ft Lauderdale. I, for one, am so glad to see the ships sailing again with guests.

Looks like we are next.

Pitures from our ferry today. Starting with St Petersburg bayfront and touring the old Henry Plant Hotel in Tampa.

Good morning from sunny and warm St Petersburg. Today is our annual ferry to Tampa day. Taking the ferry from downtown St Petersburg to downtown Tampa, it leaves from the beautiful Vinoy basin and past the new pier, it follows part of the same channel the cruise ships follow into port there. We will walk the Tampa Riverwalk past the historic Tampa University Towers to a lunch spot and then return to St Petersburg. This morning's ferry is sold out. Enjoy your day wherever you are.

Good morning from sunny St Petersburg where it is 77 at 10am. Bike ride to follow. A nice email from Holland America yesterday with "Legendary Journeys" advertised. Some new and some old. I'm pleased to see our new President Gus Antorcha returning to the longer itineraries that I am hoping yet to do. The 28 day Alaska cruise next year is selling so well, no inside or oceanview rooms are left! Enjoy your day wherever you may be today.

Gus Antorcha promised us a return to longer cruises. Most of these are Pacific itineraries, so will see if something like the Atlantic Adventure returns. The fares seem high to me, but they are priced with Have It All. The 28 day Alaska cruise has sold very well! Over $12,000 for a 28 day cruise! Verandah and Have It All included, that is $428 per day each.

Although I agree with you that you should be notified of the port change, Somaneset looks like it might be as good or better of a location as Stavanger. I have been to Stavanger with 3 large ships and another tendering, and it was basically over run. I'm thinking shore excursions is going to be doing most of the tours from the new dock location.

My Eurodam toots did seem very muffled. Love Boat sounding better.

Let's hope we don't lose our picture/sound again. Eurodam should be sparkling after her drydock.

Friends of ours felt Zaandam was in good shape on the Grand Africa last fall. I will go back on her if the itinerary and fare is right.

I just got the picture back. Did I miss much? No toots at all?

She turns faster and sooner than the big boys. I think she can withstand winds on her beam better, too.
