  1. A very few will still have the blue plaid wool blankets (much warmer for cold itineraries such as AK); these will not be in a bag. Most will be blue & orange polyester blankets (less warm but softer) that are folded in clear plastic bags.
  2. Yes, they'll be in your cabin somewhere - may be in the cabinets above the sofa (if you have one) or the bottom of the corner "dry bar" or even the drawers under the bed. If you don't find them, just ask.
  3. @0106 nice to hear the lectures are now available on the TV. I wish they would do that for all of them. Looks like you have a great day ahead; I hope many whales 🐋 come to check you out.
  4. Aligned w/the stroller. And no, should not be on the ship if there's a Service Dog only policy.
  5. I hope my bank is aware of Get Rich day and celebrates by depositing something meaningful in my account. The meal, drink and wine sound good, not been to the port although we were in Sicily in Dec. Bon Voyage @Lady Hudson @MISTER 67 I will raise a glass for your birthday 🥂when I celebrate mine this weekend. 🎂 The view counters are back at work today Currently 57° headed to 72° w/rain still forecasted this weekend. The lakes are still present in the backyard so I no idea where the water is supposed to go. Prayers🙏 and positive thoughts for all.
  6. No fortune cookie; here's the cheesecake. Favorite drink is the Emperors Nectar.
  7. I agree @CruiserBruce. As a TX resident; however, I would love to see HAL offer something out of Galveston or even New Orleans; anything in driving distance would be great 😪 I know it likely won't happen in this lifetime, but a girl can dream 🤷‍♀️
  8. I just searched and was not able to find any more current info. The whole thing is so sad. It does appear the 2 officers will recover - both are 22 years with the force.
  9. @Famgel1956 my experience is as @auntmeg said - you receive vouchers to pay with instead of money; they do have a max value and you would pay any overage due. We did the math and opted to pass- just could not justify the high cost, no matter if it was the breakfast only package or w/dinner. The only special treatment we noticed was at the lodge during breakfast, "vouchers" were asked to sit in a designated place in the dining room. Not served quicker or differently at all, just clustered together to indicate they were using vouchers.
  10. @trishbk I appreciate you following up and letting us know what Rene said. I'm sure he immediately remembered that cruise and the entire dog situation. While it's good the offending passengers have been banned from HAL, it will be disappointing if they're allowed to cruise on another CCL banner. We won't know if it happened, but I hoped his response would have been they're banned from all CCL ships. Another disappointment is that I've received no response beyond the initial auto reply "thank you for contacting us...someone will be in contact" to my post-cruise communication with both HAL and CCL. @oakridger hopefully long time HAL cruiser Chris or other knowledge passenger wll learn of your question and let us all know the answer. There is a thread on another board from a passenger who travels w/a service dog who may tell us. Service dogs are so important; it's unfortunate some people don't respect that.
  11. As to any unused "refundable" OBC, yes Guest Services can cash that out for you.
  12. Free interior stateroom offers are not always dependent upon previous casino play. And nobody knows the "magic" of how to get on the list. But it is real.
  13. You passed!! It has been very wonky last night and this morning.
  14. Definitely worth making a call - always ask, worse they can do is say no. Enjoy your spa package - those chairs are heaven.
  15. Thanks for sharing; I like the organized layout of your review. My experience last Sept (Venezia B2B NYC) is similar to many of yours. Disappointing to read the smoke situation has not changed; likely will not as the HVAC system is simply not adequate. 🙄 I noted the cabin maintenance (or lack thereof) on my review - not being addressed it will only get worse.😒 I agree there is a lot to like and I enjoyed my cruise; not sure I would choose Venezia again until I read of improvements.
  16. You can drop it off. If your cabin is ready, cards will be at the door. If they're not in there means not ready, so just drop your bags & secure appropriate items in safe. Let Cabin Steward know you're dropping your bags so they don't mistake them as belonging to previous passenger. And recommend leaving them on sofa or in closet so they're not in the way while Steward finishes your cabin. Safe travels- enjoy your cruise!
  17. Nice house - looks like a great place to spend a vacation.
  18. Seems many days are now e-days, especially w/working remotely being a "thing." Remember when we called it "telecommuting?" I don't go to the ballet and am not a ballerina 🩰 but admire people who are - they're so graceful. 🧚‍♀️ The quote resonates with me, unfortunately. Pass on the meal (squash) maybe the drink, yes to the wine, not been to the port (it's on the itinerary of the cruise we canceled for next month). There are some impactful days in history. More PT, so ready to just have parts work like they should w/no special attention from me (or anyone else). I have come to dread Wednesdays - it's the 1:1 day w/my Mgr. He increased the sessions to an hour (we used to be done in under 30) and the whole time is spent w/me giving him a blow-by-blow account of what I've done and what's in the pipeline as well as showing him current sheets & guides I'm working on. It's brutal and leaves me drained, usually w/a pounding headache. I think it's because Corp is folding many of our departments into theirs and he's building a case to either save me or cut me. Ugh. DH agreed to Teppanyaki for my birthday this weekend so we'll be trying a new place close to our house. Yay for Teppanyaki!!🎉 What's up w/the CC traffic cop? We're showing posts but no views. Currently 50° headed to 70° w/rain still in the forecast. Ugh again. Prayers and positive thoughts for all. 🙏
  19. Congrats on the score! Congrats, Stewart, on a job well done making up for the slow refill on the tissue box, thus securing more $$.
