I'll answer a couple questions. *Fixed vs Open dining - since y'all prefer not to eat after 6pm or wait in line, just switch to Early Dining so you have a guaranteed table at the same time every night. It fills quickly, so you should change now as it will likely be full if you wait until you're on board. If there are any nights you're still on excursion, you can always do Lido or room service those nights. *Priority boarding - parents have it by way if their suite. If they need assistance, you can board w/them to help, but not cool to hop a free ride (think of all the people who spent years & $$ money earning that benefit) *Internet - if you and parents don't need to be on the internet at the same time, you can just use their log in; that's what DH and I do. *Free Laundry - parents have free laundry by way of their suite. Pack less and use the laundry service; HAL has the best laundry service in the industry!! *Concierge Lounge - parents have this by way of their suite - encourage them to use it often, it will really enhance their cruise. Safe travels- enjoy your cruise!

We saw planets, too. It was all very cool. Fun part was hearing all the kids cheering. We're across from an elementary school and can hear when they're outside. The kids cheering timed times w/the birds squawking.

Eclips viewing update: Yesterday we had beautiful blue skies w/a few wispy clouds. This morning when I went to WM, completely overcast ☁️ Now as it gets closer to viewing time, the skies over my neighborhood are doing their part to try for us to have a good experience. This is a SW view from my back patio. This is a NE view from the WM parking lot 2 hours ago.

Cannot use OBC prior to boarding. Can use HIA dining & shore exc credits prior to boarding. Be sure to ask at Shore Exc desk (not GS) to have pre-paid purchases move from CC to OBC; Guest Services cannot do it. Safe travels- enjoy your cruise!

Eclipse Day is here!! 🌕🌔🌓🌒🌑😎 Pass on the meal & drink, yes to the 🍷, not been to the port. Today is work, a trip to WM to drop off a return, eclipse watching and a visit from the plumber to install the new kitchen faucet. Finally no more washing dishes & meal prep in the bathroom! Rain has been taken out of our forecast for today, but still calls for clouds. So, Totality may not be spectacular, but I will be outside to witness it. I've read it could make the dogs anxious and that their eyes should be protected, so they'll be crated. DH took his eclipse glasses w/him to work so he can pop outside when the time is right; I'm sure it will align w/cigar break, lol. Currently 54° headed to cloudy 82°. Possible hail & tornadoes tonight. Prayers 🙏 and positive thoughts for all.
