  2. Your pictures are beautiful @quilty964. Was that cake on the ship? I remember the first time I stepped into an elevator on a BHB and saw the Day of the Week mat - still makes me smile.😊
  3. We try to buy drinks in cartons, I always cut the plastic ringers when we get them. Leave no rings - everything must have an opening. Thanks for the very important reminder and your dedication to cleaning the beaches.
  4. No fish frying in this house - that would make me grouchy since I don’t eat it and surely don’t want the smell here. 😒 Elizabeth Peratrovich did a lot for AK and deserves her day. My house had the same menu as Mr Hackett. The meal sounds good, maybe the drink, yes to the wine, not been to the port. A varied assortment of important days in history. No PT today - surgeon wrote a new script at Wednesday's appointment and they have to get a new approval. The new one adds strength training for both shoulders so it should be different when I go back. Could not sleep last night, so I hope work is light today since I'm running on about 2 hours sleep. Ooh - maybe I AM the Grouch today and someone will do me a favor. 🤔 Currently 61° headed to 70° with sun next week. Wednesday is supposed to be 82°!! 82°? It's February for Pete's sake. Bon Voyage @Mr. Boston Prayers and positive thoughts for all.
  5. @momof3cruisers hoping you can come back and answer a couple questions. What, if any, instructions were you given regarding Max in dining rooms?? You mentioned once he was under the table - is that his/Cs choice or did the ship tell you he had to be there? What about Lido buffet and other "open" eating venues (such as pizza) - was he allowed there?

  7. There's usually an offer for a bundled discount like internet + spa or internet + excursions.
  8. I've used cards w/remaining balances - it's a great way to get rid of the "stragglers."

  10. With the current changes, I didn't want to make assumptions on your specific booking, so best to always check the booking confirmation. Will be nice if they give you the top, but Premium has been great. Safe travels- enjoy your cruise!
  11. I agree w/others that PCC don't get commission, but they do have some sort of numbers they're held to. Also agree there seem to be a large number of "bad" or ineffective PCCs (mine is in this category) but there are some good ones. They don't work weekends, so you may want to consider that when trying to contact one. Leave yourself enough business time that you can hold for one to help you if yours doesn't call tomorrow.
  12. Holey moley - $17/pp sounds even worse just stepping off a cruise where that would be $0/pp. Yikes! But it looks good. I like how you said "first plate"
  13. Your story is scary- glad it ended well. I just watched the afternoon news - they reported there were 3 attacks, including near a school crosswalk. Police are now walking the kids while animal control looks for the coyotes. They caught and euthanized one, still looking for the others. I wasn't sure how many children were involved. They said they're going to be ok; the worst was a boy that a coyote grabbed in the chest and tried to drag off; neighbors were able to scare it away. A man called 911 to report a coyote in his backyard thinking it was the one we had heard about and learned that one had been caught and this was a different one. They said the same thing you did - coyotes normally frightened of humans, but none of these are - they're aggressive. It's like a Steven King novel.
  14. Pretty much same here. Except recently on Venezia there was SO much red velvet and gold it was hard not to notice.
  15. Welcome to HAL!! Go to the end of your booking confirmation - you should see a list of the various items that are included, among them internet. It should identify what level you have.
  16. Did not see a Kids menu for Teppanyaki on Venezia.
  17. I do agree Passenger "mishaps" would be reason for Carnival to not refund. However, if it was a Carnival rep that made the statement acknowledging an error had been made which was NOT the passenger's error, I would expect Carnival to issue a refund.
  18. Surely CCL refunded you what you paid them. As unfortunate as it is, I can understand them not refunding you transportation that was not purchased through them, but not the cruise fare. Sorry this happened; simple mistake like a birthday does not speak well for CCL security.
  19. Without a beverage package, glassed water (vs canned or bottled), tea (basic hot or iced, not premium flavored) and lemonade are your no cost options.

  21. I continue to work toward patting myself on the back @RMLincoln - there will be celebration when I get there 😉 Progress looks different at any point in time, as you well know. Prayers for you guys as you continue on your paths toward improvement in your new home.
  22. Usually not fully functional (well, as functional as it will be) until onboard. It sometimes helps the refresh if you log out (not just close out) and log back in. Safe travels- enjoy your cruise!
