  1. Embarkation looks to have been pretty painless and already being somewhat unpacked, other than the lockout, I think you're ready - let's go!! Have a great cruise and once again, thanks for bringing us along.
  2. Maybe show that to the Screamer and Hubby - chances pretty good one of them may be visiting this week.👀🤷‍♀️
  3. Oh, boy - gonna be a looong cruise for Hubby...and anybody in earshot.🙄
  4. Does anybody else think of 1950's ish motel when they see that turquoise sink?
  5. Thanks for the "Sub Report" - you'll do fine, you're off to a great start!
  6. Analog to digital TV was a big deal when it happened - I didn't know it has a day. Not sure what the other 2 days are, but I know I'll soon learn. Mr Eastwood is correct. The meal doesn't excite me, maybe on the drink and wine, not been to the port. All very impactful days in history. Today is empty out under the kitchen sink in preparation of the plumber coming day. I'm scheduled for sometime Tuesday, but they'll send someone out if they get a cancelation, so I have to be ready. I think the garbage disposal is shot and has to be replaced, but I'll be okay w/a repair job if they can get it running. Based on the serial # it's 8 years old; supposedly should last 10-12 years, so it should not be ready for the recycle bin yet. There's standing water in the sink from running the dish washer that I have to scoop out, too. Ugh. Searching replacement cruises for the March one I canceled is aggravating - prices are crazy. Carnival is less than half the cost of HAL and is drivable, but I really don't want to cruise on Carnival. Then I look at saving more than half...🤷‍♀️🙄 I will look at AK later today for May to replace that one I canceled since I know surgery would not be before then. Nothing on the person(s) who kidnapped the 12 yo girl that was found by the Trafficking Taskforce. Currently 37° headed to 72°. Prayers and positive thoughts for all.
  7. @deeeeeeem although everything says "2 excursions up to $200" as @Sebbiesgrammy said, you can book any number. You'll pay the difference at time of booking for any amount over $200 and if you spend less, the remaing amount will be available for use on another excursion. Note that credits cannot be transferred even to someone else on your booking, they are per person. Welcome to cruising, to Cruise Critic and to HAL - you're one of us now!!
  8. All of the ships I've been on, Anytime is on 2 (lower), fixed (early and late) is on 3 (upper). There are a couple ships I've not been on (the Z's and Rotterdam), but fully expect Rotterdam would be on 2 and suspect that it's the same on the other 2 (although I think the deck numbers are different on one of them, it would be the lower). I'm sure someone with experience will jump in here.
  9. I do not recall seeing it in the library.
  10. I hope the cruises meet your expectations and that, regardless of the experiences, you'll come back and update us on how things went. I really appreciate reading the feedback, both positions negative, as I consider my future bookings.
  11. The cruise I booked last week through TA, said I had 3 options for dining and asked which I would like - Early, Main or Anytime.
  12. That is encouraging. I am going to request a change and cross my fingers my experience parallels yours.
  13. That would be annoying. Did you submit a comment about it via the Navigator or directly to GS? Wondering what their reason is.
  14. Early happy anniversary @USN59-79 and congrats on the impressive 61 years. Sounds like you have a great celebration ahead. Safe travels - enjoy your cruise.
  15. That's good to hear. Assume all is good for you now?
  16. News is reporting the Trafficking Taskforce found a 12 year old girl today. There has been an Amber Alert for her for 2 days. She was alone in a motel room. Her name and picture have been plastered everywhere as officers and agents have been looking for her, but now the TV station is saying they've been asked to no longer use/show either; I agree with that request. Such a relief she's been found, but frustrating the person(s) responsible for her being there has not been apprehended. Also, the rabies results on the coyote that was captured and euthanized yesterday came back negative. That's a huge relief for the children that were attacked as well as any animals that may have survived attacks. Now, they just need to capture the other coyotes.
  17. Can't say it enough - HAL bakers are the best - they do such best work creating gorgeous cakes. Good job on getting "new" cakes - I can never get there soon enough so most of the cakes in my pictures are missing slices. 😒
  18. Sister got called for Grand Jury (Tarrant County TX) - was selected and named as some kind of "scribe" so she had to keep the official tally of votes for each case. While they only go 3 days/wk, her term was for 3 months!
