Strange collection of days - maybe someone will explain Hoodie Hoo Day. I like cherry 🍒 pie, warm or chilled. Will not be cleaning any bookcases today - plumber is coming so the sink cabinet I cleaned out is the extent of today's cleaning. The meal sounds great, maybe on the drink once I know what it is, yes to the wine, not been to the port (it was removed from the Christmas itinerary 😪). Many good days in history. Did not get a confirmation call or text from the plumber - sure hope he's coming. Currently 45° headed to 81° with sun all week. Prayers and positive thoughts for all. 🙏

GDC is a great lunch option - very fresh as they'll prepare it in their kitchen in the back and bring out to you. As mentioned, only packaged food has a cost, the rest is no cost. Coffee, tea & alcohol are covered on beverage packages, if you have one.

Well I have another task to squeeze in today - the replacement TV box arrived. We do it ourselves, so no installer schedule to juggle, but also means a call to Support if we have issues. When this box was ordered, the techie said to be sure to use the new cord not existing one as it could be part of the issue. So that means accessing the back of TV - ugh. Too cold to watch TV outside - DH is missing his sports, so we need to get it done.

I thought I had posted, but don't see it; guess after I was interrupted by an early work call I didn't hit "submit." Coast Guard Reserves serve an important role and deserve their day. Hope we sun the sun every day as forecasted. HR called today to discuss an accommodation - it was the guy that stood me up a couple times. He didn't set an appointment, just called my cell out of the blue. Right in mid-question he said he had an appointment and had to go. Well, ok... Still need to finish emptying under the sinks for the plumber; no idea what sidetracked me, but something did. If it weren't for the dogs, I'd just pile it all on the floor next to the cabinet since I will have to put it back in. But don't want to risk the dogs getting into something they shouldn't. So I'll box it up and put in the laundry room. How do we accumulate so much stuff? Prayers and positive thoughts for all.

And HAL does not have any self laundry. As others have mentioned, their laundry service is superb. You can also send items out just for pressing - there will be a form with prices in your cabin. You can also pre-pay for the duration of your cruise; the cost will be visible under "packages" when you log into your booking. Safe travels- enjoy your cruise!

You can purchase for the full length or individual days. If you buy a day pass then decide you want the full cruise, they will credit you for the day you paid. You can see the price for your cruise when you're logged into your booking. No discount for pre-paying, so if you want to use OBC, you can buy onboard. Be sure you have your key card w/you when you sign up as they'll put a sticker on it. Both in a cabin do not have to purchase, but it cannot be shared. And no refunds. You can go multiple times/day. Sometimes all the heated loungers are in use, but usually one opens up after using the pool. There are saunas in the Thermal Spa for pass users only. There is also sauna outside the spa that does not require a pass.

On K'dam this New Years, the paper I signed and the TV/Navigator statement reflected my Mariner discount for New Years brunch. A few days later, that was credited and a full price charge showed up (all 3 entries were visible - the original Mariner price, the credit of original charge and new higher charge). When I questioned it, I was told the discount was given in error and per the policy, specials do not qualify for Mariner discount (quoted by @Real NHDOC post #41) my statement was being adjusted to reflect the full price. So if you gt a discount, congrats and enjoy, but shouldn't expect one.

Incidents such as referenced by @OlsSalt and @Heidi13 are likely why cabin stewards unplug cords, charges and devices when they service our cabins.

I was on Venezia B2B Sept Canada New England (2nd week @Jamman54 & Patti were on 😊) did not have a large number of kids BUT Canada NE cruises are not really known as the itinerary of choice for kids AND timing is a factor - schools were in session. As for the smoke - it was terrible. Mid-ship up to 7 was so bad we were looking to see who was smoking in the hall. Cabin Steward said it was always that way and he struggled to breathe (made his asthma worse). Also, the crew member who led the Behind the Fun tour was asked about the smoke - her response was the HVAC system couldn't keep up and wasn't designed for that much smoke. It's one of the few negatives we experienced and mentioned in the LIVE review I did. The itinerary was great, the ports are beautiful and of course the crew was fabulous!! Thanks @Jamman54 for letting me weigh in.

@Essiesmom geez auto correct - supposed to be "stand down." He didn't go and we do not look at itineraries that include it.
