  1. "Looks like Walt Disney threw up..." Burt Reynolds, The End (1978)
  2. Here’s a shot of “no one liking MUTS” on Princess
  3. It doesn’t have to be first or business class necessarily. My last EZ Fare on princess was on United. They sold me coach. I immediately went to United’s website and upgraded to Premium Economy. That got me awesome legroom and 2 free checked bags. Just depends on the airline(s) Princess chooses. The minute you have your itinerary, download all the apps for each airline and start researching your options.
  4. Last time I used EZ Air there were changes and Princess just DID it. They didn't email me to suggest anything. They manage the flight itinerary once you agree to their program. As I understood it, they only throw their hands up after final payment. But that was more of a response to the rash of cancellations we were getting last year.
  5. The atmosphere around this or any main pool deck changes every 5 minutes as people come and go. Sometimes there are only 8 people sunning, sometimes there's a white party and loud music and people dancing. I appreciate the comments that came in response to your question, but the only real answer is "you'll see when you get there." And it will be a thing that has never happened before, nor will ever again.
  6. You hear reviews like this a lot from people who prioritize price almost exclusively. Some people don’t even account for quality, choice, and advantages. Not saying that describes this OP. But when any commerce advertises they pitch price almost exclusively. There’s a reason for that.
  7. And here's another tip. If those rough waters cause the ship to heel or list a little and things start sliding around, and you find the hangers you put on the floor sliding across the stateroom, just hang them up in the closet. There's usually a handy rod going all the way across just for this task!
  8. Ah, that's right. The "courtesy hold". I guess if you can't get it done in 48 hours it's probably not going to be any fun anyway.
  9. Just so it's clear ... this means two deposits, yes?
  10. We’ll be on Sky in June 2024 for Norway. I can’t wait. And I get more excited everytime someone reaffirms what a delightful vessel she and her crew are.
  11. You do NOT want me showing up for dinner in leotards. Trust me.
  12. What would you wear to a formal 80s themed dinner? Leisure suits?
  13. 90 Minutes to a couple hours for a relaxed dinner with good conversation seems about right. If dinner included food as good as Princess’ usual high quality but there was some minor hitch in the wine availability, I think “worst service ever” is probably a hyperbolic accusation.
  14. Musk will never get a penny of my hard earned, American money.
  15. Are you going to say “full stop” everytime someone brings up Wifi? So far this is #2. If it weren’t for the fact you capitalized it this time I might have thought it was a pattern.
  16. I’ve been on both Princess and NCL. NCL’s wifi was virtually non existant in the Canary Islands until we were in port in Gibralter or Lisbon. Anybody who thinks “all others are tied for first” either hasn’t actually been on “all” or just has a bone to pick. The only times I’ve had any problems with the Wifi on a Princess ship has been off the northern coast of Scotland, (which Princess literature explains is a problem for all ships who get too far north of the range for satellites), and smack in the middle of the Mediterranean between Malta and Alexandria. I’ve had excellent service the rest of the time on Grand Princess, and Royal Princess.
  17. The links provided lead to a duscussion about viewing saved cruises. The OP was asking about viewing any cruises, presumably to price them. So it’s a slightly different conversation. That having been said, anytime there is a web hangup that seems to be specific to a profile, (e.g. signed out vs signed in) the first, most obvious thing you should try is to get your device in a state where the website doesn’t know anything about you. You do that by deleting cache, and by deleting cookies specific to that site. Getting rid of cache can be just the simple step of clearing history. There is a “history” tab somewhere in your browser’s file menu up top. You can usually clear history without deleting saved passwords. But you would need to allow deletion of website preferences, past visits, etc. But this is not where you should delete cookies, although you may have the option to do that in a “clear history” procedure. The trouble is it will delete all your cookies, from every website. That is an unecessary step. So instead, find the cookie management somewhere in the Security and Privacy tab of your browser’s Preferences pane. There you can search terms like “princess” and it will bring up only those cookies associate with princess.com. Delete them from here. The verbiage may be “remove” instead of delete. Same thing. Then close and quit the browser. Reopen it, go back to Princess.com and put in your username and password again at the login page. Now see what looks different.
  18. Unless you are comparing the quality of other cruiselines, and making the case that Medallionnet is poorer in quality than another, then your complaint is rhetorical. Are there cruiseliness that are better than Princess? I haven't seen any evidence of that. I've cruised Princess, Royal and NCL. Are there points on the globe where NO cruiseline can provide uninterrupted broadband capability? Yes. So just taking a few cruises and complaining that you ocassionally lost connection or had a slow connect is not the way to make the argument that Princess is somehow falsely inflating their net quality.
  19. A cruise might seem like a good place for a little bag of horseshoe floss picks, yeah?
  20. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to imply they offered wifi one day at a time, I'm not sure if such a thing ever existed on any cruise line. I just meant, at first, my only option was to upgrade to Princess Plus to get any wifi package at all. Then after a couple of months, the breakdown of one device, or 2+ devices appeared at considerably reduced reduced rates. And lest you misunderstand what I mean by "reduced rates" I'll explain myself with that as well. Princess Plus mandates that you pay for 5 or 6 addon packages like excursions, booze packages, sodas, coffee, wifi, etc and the price for that package is enormous. If you're someone who just wants wifi and never asked for a booze package then it makes sense not to buy the Princess Plus package and just get the addons you want ala cart.
  21. It was from the date I put the deposit down, which was just about the day the cruise became available and for about 2 or 3 months.
  22. Just a side note on coffees on Princess. On our last voyage we brought a cafetiere with us and a couple of pounds of our favorite local roast. Then all we had to do was bring back a 12 cup pitcher of hot tea water from the buffet, and presto. We had better coffee than anywhere on any ship because it was locally roasted days before we embarked. Our steward never said a word about it.
  23. For me they didn't show any ala cart options for Medallionnet for a few weeks because they were really pushing for me to upgrade to Princess Plus. But with patience, eventually the One-Device and smaller package breakdowns came available via the app.
  24. This reminds me of that TV commercial with the couple complaining because the pack of old ladies are outside using up all the bandwidth downloading music and dancing on the sidewalk.
