  1. We were on Vista in May for its second voyage and they were having issues with one of the glass elevators on the cruise and it was a full ship but we never had to wait more than a couple of minutes for an elevator and that would only be when the evening show ended.
  2. With regard to the shore Excursions. They are fully refundable until sail date and even later from my understanding. Did you not cancel them prior to canceling the cruise? Perhaps I’m wrong but looking at my information it states this policy. Just seems like if that is case then they would not be included in the FCC.
  3. I believe that person was being a bit sarcastic as someone said they thought SM would make it easier. Also there was a reference to 2025 is when full SM will be implemented and of course nobody can say with 100% certainty how it will be at that time. But it appears at this point even with some under the SM still working as OLife and you are still getting your choice of any wine on the Wine by Glass list.
  4. Wouldn’t you just take what brand you use? Or are you thinking May be able to find something new? I’m confused. But then again, cosmetics are out of my area of expertise.
  5. I truly understand why you are upset and hopefully things will work out in the long run once it all settles. But with regard to your comment about never had an itinerary changed before sailing in 25 previous cruises……did any of these 25 have a war break out in visiting countries 3 weeks prior to your sail date? If not, I think we can all agree this is a unique situation and perhaps justifies the change in itinerary before sailing.
  6. I would assume because Port Said is at the Suez Canal which potentially could be seeing more traffic for war strategic means.
  7. We all have those weak moments where we don’t think clearly!
  8. We just did a Vista cruise in May pre SM. Selected OLife Choice of House Beverage package and still received the 25% shorex credit when minimum purchased. You say you have checked again…..who are you checking with on the issue? A TA? Oceania direct??
  9. Bottom line, the OP could have just posted a helpful message to people letting them know there are less costly options. But instead had to go conspiracy theorists on it by including sneaky, tricky and predatory in the post and hence the whole thread went off the rails.
  10. I never said it doesn’t exist. Just said I have received it by booking directly with O.
  11. Not really true. I have received the AMEX Platinum Card OBC twice when booking directly with an O rep. They simply advised would be 280 instead of 300 if booked through them directly.
  12. Like most things when dealing with O reps you never know. But we did book with two different O reps and was granted the AMEX OBC for 280. And agree with what you said on sale. Same with us on the extraordinary sale. Made more sense to use that price and forgo the AMEX OBC.
  13. You can also obtain the AMEX OBC if you book directly with Oceania. Funny thing is though when with them direct they only give you $280. Also, they do have restrictions. I have a couple instances where they advised not combinable with the Extraordinary Savings sale. Just to be sure this was also confirmed via phone call to AMEX Travel before booking. You know, reigning in your expectations!
  14. Thanks for the information. I thought I was maybe missing out on something!
  15. For the Amex $300 OBC it has to be the Platinum card I believe. And it is through the AMEX Cruise Program with the Platinum card. Also as with most things there are rules with regard to be combinable with other offers/sales.
  16. Is the AMEX card tied anyway currently to the O Club plan benefits?
  17. Excursions do some wonky stuff sometime. If you already know which ones you want I’d just call Oceania and have them do it. Much easier and quicker.
  18. There is no charge to use their self service laundry. Machines and detergent provided complimentary.
  19. Looking at my invoice under the cancellation section it appears Culinary classes are lumped in with Privee and La Reserva cancellation class and it states you are charged a 100% fee if you cancel within 36 hours of reservation. I’d check your invoice.
  20. Yes, now that they are actually open for booking the prices on US website reflect the sale pricing.
  21. Change directions 8 laps in to undizzy yourself!!! 🤣
  22. Yea, but I thought they were asking about Regatta, which is why I referenced what I did.
  23. It really is mostly just preference. B1 midship so less likely to be impacted to how one may feel in rough seas as less motion. Some dislike anywhere close to elevators because of perceived noise possibly. Again, all preference and since you are not picky probably not too much issue. But unless you actually look at the deck plans it is really hard to even address the issues.
