  1. She talked about the evening entertainment some in Post 9.
  2. That cabinet in the bathroom where the old tiny showers were located on the O class ships could hold a ton of items. I wonder if they added something similar with the Riveria refurbish.
  3. I’ve seen Luggage Free recommended on here before by a reliable poster. Never used a service myself.
  4. I understand no reservations required in GDR but they may be leaving to meet someone else on that deck or took the back elevators and are headed to somewhere requiring they pass by. My guess is a large majority have no idea of them performing there and have no idea of going a different route.
  5. Speaking of the Grand Hall…I always find it so awkward when the string quartet is playing but people have little choice sometimes but to walk between them and those enjoying the music. Sort of like the walk of shame. Of course you could wait until a song ends but you never know and you could be late to a reservation. Oh well…..
  6. Why not wait until onboard to observe all the prices and availability and then if you want to upgrade, do it at that point? It may help make it a bit clearer on what route may work best for you.
  7. I’m sure you will be fine. Just one of those things.
  8. Unfortunately my luggage was lost prior to a Baltic cruise in 2018 out of Stockholm. Air was not done with cruise line so was on your own. Arrived in Stockholm a couple of days prior to cruise thankfully. The airlines were not too helpful….it was lost in Amsterdam. It supposedly finally made it to Stockholm where it was supposedly sent to the hotel, but nah. The morning of cruise went to a couple of stores to get clothes for the remaining 15 days. Understanding my situation, In both stores, they had a sales person walk with me. Find my color and sizes in the basement storeroom and have them brought to the dressing room. Would not have been able to do it without their help. Quick trip back to hotel to pack my new purchases. Caught a Hop On, Hop Off bus to the cruise port . The drop off point at port was far from the cruise ship. We asked driver if he knew where our departing pier was located. He said he did and then proceeded to take us and the bus with other passengers directly to the ship!!! All while the other passengers cheered us on! Truly one of those crazy stressful travel moments that now years later you look back on and have a great laugh. And 5 years later, no luggage!!! Luckily between my travel insurance and the airline I was reimbursed for my lost luggage and contents. I guess moral of story, best not to fly to your embarkation city the day of embarking as you never know what may happen and having some extra time may be needed.
  9. But then we may miss an update on how the cookies are just absolutely delicious now!! Risk and reward required here!!
  10. We were on Vista in May in a B1 on deck 8 and did not experience any noise issues at all.
  11. My understanding is Vista is the only one currently. I believe I’ve seen Riviera is scheduled to have it by year end and then other ships added thereafter starting in 2024. Perhaps Marina will have it done when refurbished in May, 2024. But all speculation. And yes, speculation is always rampant on here!
  12. On their website, they do mention the Executive Collection tours under the Simply More information. Not sure if that means you can use the SM credits but why mention them if you can’t??? But we know how website information does not always equal reality.
  13. Well……they are in a change it up a bit mood!
  14. I can confirm, we utilized the Private Van excursion option on a cruise this past May and the option does not include the 25% discount and we did have the minimum purchase requirement to meet the discount for the other excursions. This was under the old Your World Collection program.
  15. Or…….it wouldn’t be another Cruise Critic thread without a perhaps all too early conspiracy post. 😉😎
  16. As I recall on Vista, it was the room right outside of Horizons. On the Vista deck plan it is not named either but shows it as a double entry door, which it was.
  17. There are some crazy things going on for Explora right now. I’d suggest reading a few of the threads under Explora. I was thinking of looking at them too. I may, but not for a while it looks like they are having some big start up issues.
  18. I would say based upon their website they do not have Bulgari. Under the staterooms on the other ships they specifically state Bulgari amenities. Under Vista, they just state Luxury Bath amenities. We were on Vista in May and I honestly do not recall. But I do remember a brief comment that we really liked the soaps and shampoos, etc.
  19. I wonder if Oceania will go this route once all onboard are under SM. Would kind of make sense, since they will be getting the extra revenue from including the house select in the base cruise package, perhaps allowing those to drink their own, especially in restaurants would cut down on their actual expenses since not all would be drinking the Oceania provided and already paid for drinks.
  20. Not all travel policies require you purchase within 72 hours of booking for CFAR. The one I use allows you to purchase the CFAR option if you buy the insurance within 20 days of placing your deposit.
  21. I personally don’t pay attention to comments about the food anymore. Whether it’s coming from a newbie to O, or even a veteran O cruiser and especially not third party I discussed with seasoned O cruisers on board stuff. Especially with no context to said conversation. When you throw in the subjectivity of food, forget it. I’ll just stick to my own opinion on the quality of the food on Oceania since in reality that is all that really matters. If some read and decide not to cruise O because of food…..ok…more for me. If some read and decide to cruise O because of positive food comments….then watch out folks, you may get an elbow in the Terrace Cafe if I’m being cut off on something I really like!!! Just kidding, but thought I’d best add that as you never know on this here internet how people will take the written word. Peace.
  22. Ok, thanks for the clarification.
  23. Are you saying that they specifically did not include the sale price online on a PH for a sale, but a call to a TA then found that they were on sale? Or are you saying initially when the sale began they were not included in the sale, but for some reason after a week or so they added them to the sales event and updated the website to reflect the change?
