So let’s see….9 cruises…..we will go on average 7 ports per cruise for a total of 63 ports. 4 ports missed so that equates to around 6% of ports missed. And even you stated they were all for high winds! So quite legitimate. 😉. In reality that does not sound too bad. 6 out of every 100 missed.
Honestly, with excursions I would just decide which ones you want and then call Oceania to book them, much easier. We messed around for about a half our for an upcoming cruise to book them online. Some would not go to the cart, and also pricing was not including the 25% discount. Called them and all done in 5 minutes.
Yea, I understand. Just that everyone was responding as though you were to be on an Oceania cruise at the time. I just wanted to point that out. Hopefully someone can answer your inquiry on booking on a smart phone. I never have personally on a smart phone. I have on ipad….and that worked easily.
Certainly looks like things are looking up for Ember. So…..I guess that will now morph into that those of us who like it just do not have a sophisticated culinary palate. 😉
If concerned with the size being adequate, perhaps consider throwing a set or two of collapsible hangars in your luggage. They are lightweight and take up little room but gets you more space in the closet.
I certainly understand the disappointment of missing a port or an itinerary change, however if you think this is isolated to Oceania I think you are mistaken. A quick review of the first two pages of threads on pretty much every other line in a similar category as Oceania has a thread related to missed ports and/or itinerary changes.
Its a different world…nothing is the same anymore.
I saw someone else mention it that if there is a particular place you absolutely must see, and we all have those, that a cruise may no longer be the best option on any cruise line for a very specific location due to port and itinerary changes.
It is important also to look at the definition of a pre existing condition for your specific company as they can be different from company to company. The one I typically use only considers it a preexisting condition of there was a change in the 60 days prior to the purchase of the insurance
Thanks! I guess I’ve seen these while onboard but always seem too much going on when onboard to figure it out and all and make a decision. I’ll hopefully be better prepared now while on next cruise to perhaps do something.
Speaking of benefits of online booking. Is there a thread dedicated solely to that issue? I have seen things mentioned here and there in various threads but can never find them later. And for the life of me, I’m not sure how the search feature works on this site.
Well, I didn’t say you would have to upgrade ‘to’ the House Select. I stated you’d have to upgrade ‘the’ House Select under SM to get the mixed drinks.
Yes, they offer the 25% discount with SM. We’ve already booked a cruise and used the SM Shore excursion credits and received the discount after hitting our minimum requirement.
Can you feel cool air coming out of the vents? With it being 62 outside and you have now opened the slider that in itself would bring the temperature down considerably.
While on this subject I’ve often wondered about differences. If there is a Triple with a sofabed assume sofa normal size. If it is a Quad with a sofabed, is the sofa longer than the standard sofa to accommodate two people? If so, do you then lose one of the night stands to accommodate the longer sofa?
