  1. On both the Joy and Escape, there was a ramp or walk-around to the smoking area, but I believe there was still a step or two to the bar area. Epic may vary.
  2. Just make friends with your room steward. I haven't had one yet that didn't give us a $29.99 bag when we asked.
  3. Try harder. And put down the bottle at 11:30 am.
  4. It seems longer than that, but regardless, I don't trust any cruise line's published itineraries. Research is easy, and I wouldn't do anything less before I spend many $1000's. I have a UK cruise planned in August, and I can assure you I know as much as I can know about those ports, and the odds of actually porting there. I have seen and read enough about Venice that I would fact-check any cruise line that claims it is literally porting in Venice. But that's just me.
  5. I thought it was old news that cruise ships are no longer welcome and/or allowed in Venice.
  6. This is my understanding as well. I think we're missing some information here. You need to disabled to choose an ADA cabin. If you aren't, you can, and should, get bumped for someone who is.
  7. We still don't, and we still can't help.
  8. So, you've been on both the Prima and Viva for a total of 7 times? Or you've been on the Viva once? If the first, wow, that sucks. If the second, then your review is as worthless as lipstick on a pig.
  9. If you like a hot and humid room, try the infinite balcony. We will be doing Holland in August. We're just 60, but young looking and young at heart. I don't think age matters. Would love to see you there. The Rotterdam looks like an amazing ship. Totally with you on the river cruise. Someday.
  10. Personally, I'd just pay the 2 cents. But I'm loaded and can afford it. 🤣
  11. Not on my cruise in 60 days. I did it via chat.
  12. I did that too, about 10-years ago. Not once since.
  13. @BirdTravels If you would be so kind. Where did you find this? What ships? What durations?
  14. You can book the MDR at 120-days via your PCC, calling NCL, or even via chat on the website.
  15. Someone seems to have gone AWOL. Where did you see this? What is the length of the cruise? What ship? What dates? We need more info here.
  16. Put Lincoln on the new $2 coin. At least Illinois will use it! 😄
  17. Absolutely agree. And can we finally get rid of those intolerable pennies? Please?
  18. I'm surprised it's even close to half. Tipping hotel housekeepers is a relatively recent thing in the US. I don't recall ever even hearing about tipping hotel housekeeping until, 10-15 years ago, maybe? Could be longer, but it certainly wasn't a thing when I was younger, and now it's hard to get into the habit.
  19. Oh my. Can you imagine if there were tables around the pool? The hogs would be out at 5 am instead of 6.
  20. How do they do the Blessed Sacrament? Don't they have rules on storage and logistics and such?
  21. I agree with RuthC, but I'm pretty sure the crew will take whatever you are willing to give them.
  22. The bad decision was choosing to go out on their own and risking something happening "out of their control" and expecting that the ship will wait for them. That was the choice they made, and in that scenario, it was a bad decision. We're talking about an unusual situation when something bad happens, not the 99.9% of the time you go out on your own and it's just fine. We go out on own all the time, but I wouldn't even consider that the ship will wait for us if something happens that's "out of our control". We'll join them at the next port. Our mistake, our problem.
