We are sailing on 12/29 out of San Juan. Based on posts in a FB group I'm in, there are differing itineraries. The one leaving Dec. 29th includes: Day Land Tours And Cruise Ports Arrive Depart Booked Fri San Juan, Puerto Rico --- 8:30 PM 0 Sat St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands 8:00 AM 5:00 PM 0 Sun Philipsburg, St. Maarten 8:00 AM 5:00 PM 0 Mon At Sea --- --- 0 Tue Oranjestad, Aruba 8:00 AM 5:00 PM 0 Wed Willemstad, Curaçao 8:00 AM 5:00 PM 0 Thu Kralendijk, Bonaire 8:00 AM 1:00 PM 0 Fri Castries, St. Lucia 1:00 PM 8:00 PM 0 Sat Basseterre, St. Kitts 9:00 AM 6:00 PM 1 Sun San Juan, Puerto Rico (Flight Departure) 7:00 AM --- 0 But someone sailing Viva in January posted theirs as: I don't know whether the daily activities change based on the itinerary, but presumably they'd be a little different for an at-sea day (on my cruise) versus the cruise with no at-sea days.

Newbie cruisers here with a bunch of questions. We will be on Viva for 9 day cruise out of San Juan in a month. For that duration of cruise, will the unlimited likely go down after the first two days? Also, I'm not sure I understand how it works with the "Free at Sea" and then the possible upgrade. Is it by room number? Is it by device? (Can you switch between a phone and a computer or tablet, as long as only one is in use at a time?) If one person upgrades, does it charge both people in the room the same upgrade for double the cost? What is the unlimited service vs. the unlimited premium like? If you want to stream anything, do you have to get the premium? Does the internet work the same whether you're in port or sailing between ports? (Trying to figure out if it's worth paying my $10/day international phone/data plan upgrade in lieu of buying the on board unlimited wifi.) If you don't have unlimited wifi but are traveling with a big group staying in multiple rooms and want to stay in touch with each other on the ship ... ("hey, we're going to the pool at 5 p.m." or "meet us outside the theater on Deck X before the show") ... is there a way to communicate with people in the NCL app while on board? Thanks in advance!!

I appreciate the reply. But our group is a "don't drink - don't smoke" bunch. 😉 My brother and his boys managed to book the mini-speed boats/snorkeling tour, which sounds like great fun. But there was no more room on it, so four of us aren't able to do it. Since we are packing in a ton of other activities (including snorkeling a couple of times, ATVs, and zip lines) in other ports, we were wondering if St. Kitts might be a good place to see the local culture, etc.

We'll be spending a day in St. Kitts in early January (NCL Viva). We have excursions booked for most of the other port days and were thinking it might be nice to just wander a little and explore around the town near the port area in St. Kitts. For those who've been there, what is there to do and see if you aren't taking a specific excursion? Thanks in advance. 🙂
