  1. An example of why one should set their credit cards to notify them of any refunds. Are any independent excursions offered for the last supper from that port?
  2. As long as you individually paid them yourself you can cancel them and have the money refunded to original payment source. Not if they are included as part of a fare offer or provided by your TA.
  3. Maybe not. Most likely using the Grand because it is one of Princesses smallest ships and easiest to fill.
  4. Spa workers usually wear uniforms and are contractors.
  5. Probably the same people that are aware and care enough to be concerned about SPA upcharges. Problem is Princess eliminated the employee costs for the future cruise sale position, and the Captain Circle loyalty positions, and replaced them with a contractor that pays them money to be there and makes money on the commissions from bookings. Basically an onboard TA without having to provide support to bookings. As long as passengers are willing to book on board it is unlikely Princess will change. About the only thing that will cause Princess to change wpuld be a massive drop in bookings made on board.
  6. Open Network Exchange Considering that the owners prior business was one exchanging time share weeks for cruises, and the focus of this business is supposed to be software development it kind of fits.
  7. You can buy them directly using the App. No need to fill out paper form.
  8. It all depends. If they do not live up to promises for final value or ease of use or availability of hotels then to some degree they are scams. These packages promise a lot, but people have reported problems in using some of the features. These fall into the same category as the old buying clubs, time share offers, etc. To some they have value to many not worth it. The time share like sales tactics should not be a surprise sinve the ownerd of O.N.E. prior business was one allowing peopke to trade time share weeks for cruises. A business that enabled them to establish links across the cruise industry. I will have nothing to do with the future cruse sale department now thst it is a contract function staffed and run by one.
  9. Depends upon the time of the year. Atleast 1, usually 2. Margerie and either Lamplugh or John Hopkins depending upon time of year. Pretty much all go to the end where the Margerie Glacier and the where the muddy looking Grand Pacific Glacier are. This is the major stopping location focusing on the Margerie Glacier During portions of the season they also go to John Hopkins Glacier (approach closed during seal pupping season). On the way to John Hopkins they go past the Lamplugh Glacier. coming and going. During popping season have had them go and turn around at Lamplugh when the rest of way to John Hopkins is closed.
  10. Majestic Hollywood pool used to be adults only They removed the signs and changed it to all ages during the 22/23 Austrailian season Has been all ages since Prior to that period there used to be signs saying adults only around the pool. The signs were removed and nolonger any adult only signs, so not a matter or enforcement, but instead a change of policy for that ship.
  11. Even so I expect that if the class system on the Sun and Star, are a success, the Royal class ships will follow. Of course there are a few issues to work out and some changes to work through before that is clear. It look like it will be a single class, unlike the two level system they were looking at originally. As some of the Celebrity cruisers are now finding out. So it looks like it will not be a cheaper clone of the Celebrity approach, but pretty clear that the days of anyone in any room being able to buy the same additional service is coming to an end. While the rush to book Sanctuary is probably coming to an end in the next year or two, one will be able to lock it in by booking on of the cabins with those benefits.
  12. My understanding is that you add them when you make the reservation. After you select the venue you can add others. But it has to be done for each reservation.
  13. Does your profile on the app show your correct loyalty status? There was/is a problem with some accounts where when the app as first accessed and the data loaded into the database for it any difference with the data resulted in a new Captains circle number being created and used only by the App when not on ship. This resulted in one's status not being properly recognized by the app. The only real.impact was Elites for example not getting their discount when purchasing internet in advance of the cruise. Another issue is when you access a cruise using the app it will link it to the App account with its different CC number resulting in the error message when trying to access that cruise with the web.
  14. On my last cruise you would quite often find one bartender at each bar doing only medallion orders while the other handled walk up and waiter orders. Wait time was often much longer then 4 minutes.
  15. Maybe you should try greasing the medallion
  16. I suspect that as long as you have the name and policy number to fill in the lines on the check in form it will not be an issue.
  17. Think of the view that the space is perfectly fine because with the lack of shade and wind (according to reports) many will not use it for Ling periods of time anyway.
  18. They also have more ships doing Magic To Do then they have magicians for that role. Or atleast that is what 2 of the magicians have said. The one on the Emerald said that he is having to go between ships atleast once a week.
  19. Just be aware of how noisy the stabilizers are on Grand Class ships during rough seas down on deck 5
  20. They label a magician as being resident if they are also doing the magician role in Magic To Do. However they do have a couple "resident magicians" that rotate between ships to do that roll. On our recent B2B. Ours was on board for the show and do 2 acts, then went to another ship for a week, then came back to do Magic to Do on the next cruise.
  21. They have them, but have greatly cut down their use. Used to have a stack of them. Now on recent cruises only if you ask or if you ask for something like cookies to go. They are clearly moving to reduce paper and plastic waste. I am surprised that they are still selling plastic water bottles, instead of going with water cans like some other cruise lines, or refillable with water stations.
  22. We are from the US and have sailedon P&O before The first time we purchased a policy from the US authorized agent for P&O and the.policy was no.where near 2 million. Actually not even 100,000. Now we have an annual.medical and evacuation insurance that is 500,000 coverage. They do want you to have a policy that covers medical and evacuation atleast. If you write they will say the requirements are the same for US. Though their US authorized TA will.say it is not enforced for US.
  23. Doubletree is a little nicer, but more isolated. Crown Plaza is located closer to the port and has a number of restaurants close by.
  24. We usually stay at park at Crown Plaza. When the cruise gets back I walk over to get the car and avoid having to wait for a shuttle.
  25. Are they the same price on board? Some cruise lines have a lower price if booked early before the cruise?
