  1. Sure, but the 47 other bars on the ship also work. 🙃
  2. It's always in the afternoon. Dinner reservations won't be a problem. Been to one. Just long enough to know it will be the only one.
  3. It's called the TV. I know it doesn't print, but it still gives you what you need. Just curious, how old is your android?
  4. I've not had a bad steak. But then, I can eat it from Medium down to Still Mooing. My wife, on the other hand, must have a bright, pink Medium. She's learned to enjoy everything else and take the steak however she gets it. She did try the trout once, never again. No surprise to her that it's gone.
  5. That, and they have no clue what a "bait and switch" actually is.
  6. Lol. I see you're one of those "bribe" people. Such nonsense. Insulted? Yeah, right.
  7. Interesting. I just looked up my flight in August using a VPN. I was able to access, and go to the "Cancel Flight" page, with only my first and last name, and confirmation number. No need to login, no other identity confirmation. It's not just Carnival, and it's scary as hell.
  8. I absolutely agree with this, and the rest of your post, right up to the point where they (or others) start trying to shift the blame -- "XYZ cruise company should have protected these people!!". That's when my grace is lost.
  9. Exactly. Your example was an unusual and rare occurrence. It's never happened to us in 10 cruises. So, to say everyone should show up at their assigned time because otherwise it's a problem, or things won't run smoothly, simply isn't true. If you choose to arrive at the port before noon for a mega-ship, regardless of your check-in time, there is going to be a line. That's not problem. That's just the way it is. It's always run surprisingly smoothly for us.
  10. Not really. I've always arrived whenever I wish, regardless of my scheduled arrival time, and have always had a smooth check-in. This was all implemented when social distancing was still a thing. It's no longer necessary.
  11. That is absolutely your prerogative, and everyone's choice. It makes no sense to spend good money if you're going to be stressed about the outcome. That never happens on a land vacation. Happy trails!
  12. I have no problem with anyone's principles or priorities. As I get older, my time starts taking more and more priority. It's a personal choice what principles I choose to devote my time. A principle over a few dollars isn't one of them. To each their own.
  13. Not charged, eh? In that case, I'm sure he informed you of every drink he had. 🤣
  14. That certainly didn't work for us. We each had a 10%, but when my PCC applied it, she only applied mine and I had to call again to get my wife's applied. If my wife hadn't also had the discount, she wouldn't have got it. Have you looked at your actual confirmation that shows the charges for each guest? If you both got it, good for you.
  15. Definitely not talking about the NCL card, but a better option. We have Sapphire Preferred. Not as as good as Reserve, but also not nearly the cost.
  16. Your persistence is admirable (I think). I wouldn't waste my time on a simple email for $4.00.
  17. We seem to be the only ones that care that the NCL card is not the best option, but, that's fine. I forgot about the travel insurance. It is incredibly generous compared to any of my other cards. And, if I recall correctly, you get the insurance if you pay any portion of the cruise with the card. The evacuation and medical needs to be supplemented with other insurance, but the cancellation and trip interruption is exceptional.
  18. You can use both, but the 10% discount will only be applied to his base fare. Yours will stay the same.
  19. Not so much naysayers, as pointing out that there are much better cards out there. If you travel exclusively with NCL, and don't do a lot of other travelling, then it may work for you. We travel often using other cruise lines, hotels, rental cars, airline flights, etc. With a Chase Sapphire Preferred card you can use your points for any of those things, and more, at 1:25 to 1 rate (80,000 points gets you $1000). Their sign up bonus is/was the best in the business. You get 5x points on travel purchased through Chase Travel, 2x on all other travel, 3x on all dining, etc. The annual cost is $45 ($95 minus a $50 hotel credit). It's been good to us. It's worth taking a look at the details for comparison.
  20. I cut my slacks and made shorts. My wife was none to pleased.
  21. I find it interesting how you create a visual that bears no resemblance to reality.
  22. What's their confirmation number? 😆 Too soon?
  23. Did your billing problem show up after you disembarked, or before? As a prolific cruiser, you obviously know that it is infinitely better to take care of any billing issues while still on the ship.
  24. *sigh* One more reason to move on from NCL. If HAL goes in that direction as well, then I better start seriously saving my pennies. It will be Oceania for us.
