your not so subtle  attempt at sarcasm....not necessary...it is that kind of behaviour  that makes people turn to other forums for discussions....

as for the supporters, I would not encourage those  kind of responses unless you want to further deplete the number of people who post on this forum....perhaps that is your goal...have the forum all to yourselves so you can just pat each other on the back, constantly.....

and NO it is not humour....unless you cant tell the difference....

I thought it was funny.  Not sure why this was triggering to you.

Oceania has had several announcements. Sorry don’t have the link. On their website they list the passenger count for both the Riviera and Marina as 1238. Used to be 1250

https://cruise.blog/2022/04/oceania-announces-new-cabins-solo-travelers  Are you maybe confusing the R ship change with the O ships?  I have never seen any announcement about a change in in the Oceanview cabins for the O ships.  I have a cruise booked on Riviera in an Oceanview cabin next summer.  This is after her refurb and that cabin is not  a solo.

You mean like this? You probably have the exact wording😁 I shouldn't say anything as I have trouble listening to that last part, and now it's going to bite me in the rear.

"Please make sure to review the entire invoice including the cancellation schedule on page two.  Penalties for this sailing begin on xxxx xx, 2023.  Please make sure your passports are valid at least 6 months beyond your return and please make sure to purchase insurance."

I also have that exact paragraph in the email from my TA when I book a cruise. Imagine that.

    They look low??

Hate those  ones in the Grand Bar hallway   so low you cannot get up from them  hope they change those  to a bit higher chairs

I  am 5' 4"  cannot imagine how taller people get up

The chairs are the same, just new material. However, yes they are the same low chairs. I do not think these are as low as the black/white chairs in the Grand Bar but have not measured/compared them.

  5. Currently on the penultimate cruise on Riveria prior to her refurbishment. While booking a 2024 cruise, the advisor mentioned she saw them replacing some of the furniture in Martini’s. If the have the fabric they will do this, according to her. Thought others would like to see.

“Bottle Water Cleaner” tablets are available on Amazon. These not only clean but they take away that metallic taste from new metal bottles. We plan to throw a few tablets in our bags for this purpose.

Thank you for the reminder.  I have these but need to pack them.

I didn't look at the deck plan but I'm pretty sure there is more than 4 in the B category.

There are many extended balcony cabins but there are only 4 that have the open side.

  8. All this talk about the app or lack thereof made me think that I have never seen someone checking their phone when in a bar, or restaurant, etc when on Oceania. I'm sure someone will pipe up and say they do, but let just say that I see it all the time at home but it is much more rare when on board. It's nice that people are not glued to their phone which makes them much more open to conversations with others.  I very often will talk to 'strangers' when waiting for our dinner reservation in a lounge/bar.  At home I would likely be using my phone to kill time.    Talking to fellow passengers is one of the reasons that we love Oceania.  The people onboard are, as a whole, very interesting to talk to.  And if having an app that they can now study makes them less open to conversation then I am not looking forward to an app.

  9. How many categories you can go up is extremely variable.  For my cruise I can only go up one category from my current cabin C--> B4.    Very much depends upon each cruise and what cabin.  Since my cruise has not gone up in price since I booked I'm not concerned about booking at a new, higher price.  I did book on board so I would lose my onboard booking discount if I am able to move up.  You really need to evaluate your situation to know if it is a good deal for you or not.

I got updated invoice from my travel agent show $100 as gift order but it didn’t show up as OBC on my account when I login.   Does your $100 share holder OBC show on your account?

For someone who received this $100 OBC, when it show on your account?

I can see it on my Oceania invoice, page 3, Amenities and Gifts section and it says "shareholder shipboard credit"  I can also see it online listed under "total shipboard credits" but is listed as Complementary shipboard credit.

our price has gone up....so not worth it...does anyone think you can upgrade but keep your original price? I wouldnt think so....

No. To get the upgrade you are making a "new booking" at the new price.

I'm looking at a sailing next fall and they mention the "up to a 4-category" upgrade. When I go asterisk-hunting for the fine print, it says "Offer Valid August 30 - September 7 on Categories G - A2". I am assuming that based on availability, one would book into a G-A2 and upgrade 4 from there since obviously you can't upgrade into a G. I presume the A2 maximum is to prevent people from upgrading all the way to a Vista or Owner's Suite.

Right now, all cabins are showing availability, so if the above is correct, then I could book into a bottom Ocean View (C2) and get a Concierge Veranda (A3)? Or book a Veranda and get a Penthouse (B1-PH3)?

I assume you need to book the O-life fare to qualify, but that does come with other benefits as well.

Booking O life has nothing to do with getting the sale price or not.
And the UP to 4 category sale is just that UP TO.  It varies by itinerary which cabins you can upgrade from and how far up. No way to know until the 30th all the other details.  I

We are sailing on 09SEP on Regatta and know we can book a cruise 30 days prior and get onboard savings...I wonder if we can combine the Labor Day sale with the onboard savings?

I have a cruise that I booked onboard that will be on sale. I was just told by my TA that I will have to choose the upgrade (if it is available for my level of cabin) or the onboard discount.
