Uniworld blows the other river cruise lines away . Not even competitive.
Having just taken a Uniworld, and previously used AMA, I have to agree.

Hi -
Is lunch available in the MDR? Daily or on sea days only?

What about those of us who booked last Jan.(2023) We only paid 500 on board. No plans on canceling, but I'm waiting on a possible Kidney transplant. So far I'm still fairly stable & hope not to need dialysis until well after the cruise. Obviously if a transplant comes along then the cruise is off & we have full coverage that cost about $1400
New rules apply only for cruises booked after September 1. So you previous booked cruise goes by the old rules.

I am curious how many times you can move a deposit to a different itinerary before you have to pay the cancelation ($150) penalty.

You need to complete the questionaire while onboard. There should have been notices in the Currents, etc about this.

Not that flying is always stroll in the park these days. We avoid it as much as possible by driving to embarkation ports.
While true that flying is challenging these days, no way to drive to Rome or Oslo or Tokyo, etc.

Missing ports is always a risk of traveling by cruise ship, and the terms and conditions passengers agree to allow Oceania to skip ports as they deem necessary.I have learned that if you really want to go somewhere, fly, as you never know with a cruise.

Nowhere as nice as Privee. Are they trying to make the product cheaper?
There is still Privee, These are just in addition. If you search on youtube for Vista full ship tour you can see all three spaces

I've seen photos of walk in closet for PH is there one of the Veranda closet?
A Veranda couple.
There may be a disagreement on the PH closet, but there definitely is no walk-in closet in the Veranda cabins.

@ORV and @HaveDogWillTravel thanks so much for taking the time to post pictures and thoughts!! So very much appreciated!
We will be on the Riviera in Nov. Do you know if any of the balcony class cabin walls are magnetic?
Thanks!
Not anymore. They all used to be but when they refurb the ships the new coverings impact that.

Where is the HS ice cream offered onboard?
One different flavor is offered each day (among the other flavors) in the Terrace and the ice cream stand by Waves grill.
-
It is the only ice cream I would splurge on. I can get the plain/regular flavors at home so I don't feel the need to spend my calories on them.

They have to clear customs/immigration before anyone can get off the ship on July 12th. You could get off anytime after that. Only issue is your luggage. You will need to pack that off yourself if you want to get off the ship early. Just to be extra safe, I would contact your TA or Oceania about your plans so that you have it in writing that they have no issue with this.

Marina now has a gap in it's schedule from April 30-May 31, 2024.
How nice of Oceania to cancel cruises before announcing why.
Do you suggest that they announce the refurb dates then cancel the cruises?
-
Do other cruise lines let you join mid-cruise at a prorated price?

Your room has a refrigerator. I kept all sorts of things in mine on both Riviera and Sirena. Including beer hard liquor and wine I bought in ports and brought back to drink on my veranda after 2100.
The room refrigerator is really a cooler so does not keep a cool enough temp to keep food cold. You are asking for a case of food poisoning.

I see $12 prices for Non-Alcoholic drinks on the menu pictured. I thought mocktails were free.
I don't know what the previous mocktails were, but these new ones (according to the posted pics) have Lyre non-alcoholic spirits. Those spirits are not cheap. They are very close in taste to the 'real' thing, when in a cocktail.

Please do ask. May make the difference upon which cruise I select.
You might post your question to the current ATW roll call.

I assume that Oceania will need to do what the Coral Princess did and have divers clean off the hull.
