The resort had areas open for all and some reserved areas. We did splurged for the private area. We got some bottles of champagne and party favours. They had preformers, dancers, fire artists and the like to entertain. I called these guys the Jiffy Pop Kids. Some people bought bottles of tequila. I don’t want to know how they are feeling this morning. The party was still going strong at 1am.

A couple photos from last night. This now looks like this. This became this. Moon rise last night. Bedtime was after one. We rose at 6:30 to beat the game. Chair hogs are a thing. We have had to play even at the private pool. Don’t hate the player, hate the game.

I might have made 3 trips for proteins and one for dessert.

I passed on the raisins. I had some offerings from this delicious station.

How about some food porn. We kept it simple and went to the buffet at 6pm when it opened. I was able to get great photos before it was filled up. It reminded me of the old midnight buffets. Ice sculptures. More salads and desserts than I could dream of. Sushi, veggies, and sea food etc…. I focused on the proteins. I didn’t take photos of desserts either. Carved beef. Tuna Caribbean lobster. Cornish hen. Prime Rib

Junkanoo Beach isn’t a bad place to go. The Tiki Bikini Bar is next door with food and drink. I also would suggest the Fish Fry just because I like it. Baha Mar also is a spot to go with a beach and pools. Their website has information. I think it will be less crowded than Margaritaville. I have heard that the Colonial Hilton has a beach break again even though the hotel is closed. I don’t know anyone who has gone since the reopening. In looking a can’t find any information either.

Finally a sunrise today. It’s going to be in the 80s and sunny for the next few days. Lots of work going on here preparing for NYE celebrations tonight. They have places set up for free and premium seating for a fee. Not sure what the night brings us. We understand that there will be actual fireworks, not just the families that have spent too much time together exploding. 😜

I agreed with you. Thankfully this is the smallest pool on site for the Diamond Club. We have found out that if you are a Marriott Bonvoy Elite you also get access to this area and other perks too. We have chatted with a few along the way. It is like Royal’s highest ranked Casino members getting Pinnacle Perks.

This afternoon by our pool they hosted a water ballon fight. Not sure the end resolve but it looks like they had fun. All I could thing of is latex in the pool pumps, but that’s the pool owner in me. Owen and I also had a visitor.

Almost had a sunrise. This is the most sun we have had the last few days. Unfortunately it has been cool, and if the sun was out it would be warmer. Currently it is overcast. Still hanging by the pool. Thankfully it is heated. With the empty pool Owen and I decided to throw the football. Lucy, is that you? No, this is her at home.

I walked around the buffet this morning. The smaller buffet for Diamond guests. You can walk over to the larger buffet area from our side. The photo below is their yoghurt, cheese and cold cuts area. They have all the other regulars spots like omlet, crepes, and smoothie stations. This was the most interesting find for breakfast.

Does a vanilla Yule Log count, as a towel creation?

We came back to our room, and we had evening turndown. Even chocolates on the bed. Not sure if every room category gets this but it’s been a long time since we’ve had this on the ship.
