  1. We are currently on the Eurodam, we had a priority check in time of 1:00 pm, could not get a late check out time at our hotel so we showed up at 11:30 am, we were immediately checked in and were in our room by 11:50 am.

Also don''t go to muster station until they make an announcement,  lots of us were wandering deck 3 looking to check in at our muster stations.

Currently on the 8 day Eurodam cruise, last night in the Pinnacle grill I asked and was told there are 850+ passengers on this cruise.

it is nice having the space.

The 10 day Eurodam sailing November 24th, 2021 currently has 1300+ booked at this time per the staff.

Re all the discussion about the expiration date, on the two tests I've done at CVS, I will say that the expiration date has been printed on the final results page that we show the reps when checking in.  However, in my experience twice now (two different checkins), they do seem to focus on two things--the date the test was taken and the Negative test result.

From a prior post, please read.

Our local non-chain pharmacy sells 2 packs of this test for $26.  They have a 2022 expiry date, so they are a newer batch.  We plan on buying them locally for our December cruises.

    No, No No

The Local tests that you buy in the store are NOT proctored and are NOT accepted by cruise or air travel.

The "accepted tests are the Abbott BINAX HOME Test (Not the Abbott BINAX SELF Test). The Home Test also have a clear warning to NOT open the package until instructed to do so.

Only the tests purchased from eMed (currently sold out) , or Optum (2 & 3 pack) are Proctored and accepted.

You can certainly use the locally purchased Self test to validate you own condition, but there is no medically certified report provided (unless things have changed in the last several months).

I tried the Curative link and I couldn't find a location in the Ft. Lauderdale area.  Possibly operator error.

I will be searching for a covid test location in the Ft. Lauderdale area.  We arrive 3 days prior to our departure on December 1.  We have a rental car so getting to a test sight will not be a probIem for us.  I have the Abbott Binax Tests as a back-up.  We would return to FLL for testing, but I'm not certain we can get tested there because we fly in one day prior to our testing window.  I will continue to follow this post and hope that CCers that depart from Port Everglades (or that live in the area) will report on their progress of scheduling and receiving tests.  I am concerned that with the influx of cruise passengers that local testing may be overwhelmed.  Not to mention some time has passed since HAL indicated they were working on something close to the cruise terminal to assist its passengers.

    Thank you.

Another option in Fort Lauderdale is Curative, here is the link from the HAL Website, we booked November 14th at the Courthouse, this is a walkup testing site since we are staying precruise with no rental car. We sail November 16th on the Eurodam.

But that’s exactly what I have been saying all along.   Exactly what I told the person asking.   You were quoting a $10 price in yours.

The reason I pasted from the HAl site.  I’ve had the SBP thanks and already been on my bookings.  Sailed on HAL a lot and I know what the SBP entails   😉

The $10.00 a day is the amount you save if you purchase the drink package on-line before the cruise.

I’m not sure where on the HAL site you are getting that.  The limit is a drink of $11 without gratuity.  That’s been the SBP for a few years now  since the drink prices went up.  Here is the link on the HAL website for 2021 SBP: https://www.hollandamerica.com/en_US/deals_CAD/terms/europe-2021-all-inclusive-offer.html

Here is a screen shot of the key part of the link:

Sign into your HAL booking and look to purchase drink packages. This is exactly where this is from.

Signature packages up to $11.00 a drink, Elite up to $15.00 a drink.

If a Signature Beverage Package or Elite Beverage Package is purchased before your cruise, each guest over 21 years of age who is booked in the same stateroom must also purchase the same package. If this package is not purchased for each guest prior to the cruise, the stateroom account will be charged for the guests who have not purchased the package

Our convenient, affordable Signature Beverage Package allows you to select from a variety of wine, beer, spirits, cocktails (including non-alcoholic), sodas, bottled water (sparkling 330ml or still 500ml) & coffee! Includes any beverage priced at $11.00 or lower (up to 15 beverages per day). Prices are per day at $44.95 if pre-booked online compared to $54.95 if purchased on board. A 18% service charge will be automatically applied to your purchase. The package must be purchased for the entire duration of the voyage. All adults over 21 years old booked in the same stateroom must also purchase the package. Participants may order only one drink at a time and must be 21 years or older. Sharing is not permitted. Excludes Mini Bar, Honor Bar, Chocolate Seduction, In-Room Dining, beverages on Half Moon Cay, Freestyle Coca-Cola and any self-service draft beer. Packages are not transferable or refundable. Beverage management reserves the right to revoke the package if misused and reserves the right to refuse service for any reason; including refusing service of alcoholic beverages to intoxicated customers

The drink package does include the gratuity as long as you are within the limit of it.

If you order a drink that is over the limit (over $11) or exceed the daily limit, the full amount is charged along with the 18% beverage service charge since you are no longer within the package.

This from the HAL Website, $10.00 a day less expensive if you purchase in advance, total of 15 beverages a day, no different than the Signature package. 18% service charge added to each purchase.

"Our premium, Elite Beverage Package allows you to select from a variety of wine, beer, spirits, cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages, sodas, bottled water (sparkling 330ml or still 16oz) & coffee. Only on the ms Koningsdam & ms Nieuw Statendam, the package includes Freestyle Coca-Cola which provides 100+ refreshing Coca-Cola flavors to choose from. Includes any beverage priced at $15.00 or lower (up to 15 beverages per day). Prices are per day at $49.95 if pre-booked online compared to $59.95 if purchased on board. A 18% service charge will be automatically applied to your purchase. The Elite Beverage Package must be purchased for the entire duration of the voyage. All adults over 21 years old booked in the same stateroom must also purchase the package. The package excludes purchases made in the Mini Bar, Chocolate Seduction, In-Room Dining, beverages purchased on Half Moon Cay and any self-service draft beer. Packages are non-transferable or refundable. No sharing is permitted. Participants may order only one drink at a time and must be 21 years or older. Beverage Management reserves the right to evoke the package if misused and reserves the right to refuse service for any reason, including refusing service of alcoholic beverages to intoxicated guests."

Just a little clarification, isnt Bank of America is the new CHASE bank? I rememeber in 2008 in CA all banks of America has been replaced by CHASE. I wonder what bank you are talking about exactly. Maybe I just lost time or getting confused with things but in any case it would be almost impossible to track such operation if the initial bank has been changed. Does anyone know about it?

You are confusing Bank One with Bank of America.

"Bank One Corporation was the sixth-largest bank in the United States. It traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the stock symbol ONE. The company merged with JPMorgan Chase & Co. on July 1, 2004."
