  3. Trying to figure out what the easiest and quickest way is to get from Pier 91 to SeaTac after getting off Explorer for 2 people. I don't want to wait long after we get off the ship. Our flight back home is at 12:45 pm. I don't mind doing a shuttle if they are there waiting or will be there in a short time. Is it a hassle to get a taxi, or are the shuttles a better way to go?

Also, is Seattle Express or Already There Towncar service a better option for our arrival into SeaTac, to be transported to a downtown hotel?

    Thank You!

Just off Pier 91 this past Saturday, disembarked at 7:35 AM, there must have been at least 100 taxi's waiting to transport people. Arrived at Sea-Tac 8:10 AM for our 12:15 PM flight. Security wait was 15 minutes, we has TSA Pre-Check, 5 minute wait. Taxi was $48 plus tip.

  4. Is there luggage direct available when disembarking in Seattle off the Westerdam? Thanks.

Just finished sailing in Cabin 9162 on Celebrity Summit, Did not have an issue with trash. Noise however can be an issue if you attempt to go to bed before 11:00 PM. Several times the noise was so bad even turning our TV on did not drown out the noise.

Made a complaint and was told noise would be reduced after 10, did not happen, in fact I think it was loudest the last 2 nights on the cruise.

Really depends on the entertainer in the Sunset Bar, as 1 of them was extremely pleasant in volume always (Jonny Mantra), and I highly recommend his show if he is still aboard. The other entertainer I am certain had the guests flamenco dancing at one point and I thought the roof was going to collapse.

If you stay out past 11PM not an issue as it was never loud past then.

    P.S. Bermuda was awesome

Just off the Summit #6146 on 12/5/15, Closet space is small for hanging clothes, tight but workable, good amount of drawer space in the cabin.

  7. Dead tourists identified as Americans; 14 released from hospital

While disclosing that the two female tourists killed in the tour bus accident on Sunday have been identified as American citizens, the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has said that of the18 passengers who were immediately hospitalized after the accident, 14 have since been discharged.

Meanwhile, the police also noted that two of the remaining four injured passengers are still admitted at Peebles Hospital, while the other two have been flown overseas for treatment.

“Fourteen of the passengers taken to Peebles Hospital following (Sunday) morning’s tour bus collision were released and – except the families of the deceased and injured – all re-boarded the cruise ship which has since left the territory for its next destination,” said Police Information Officer, Diane Drayton in a press release yesterday afternoon.

While commenting on the four tourists who were still hospitalized, she said two of them were expected to be released yesterday.

“Four passengers – three females and one male – had been detained in Peebles Hospital. Two of the females were flown overseas for further treatment (and) the other two (patients) are expected to be released from hospital today.”

    Deceased are Americans

Shedding light on the two females who lost their lives, she said they are both Americans citizens, ages 53 and 67. Drayton stated, however, that their names are still being withheld at this time.

“The two who died as a result of injuries sustained in the collision were also females ages 53 and 67 and both were Americans. The names of the deceased are not being released at this time.”

As far as investigations into the crash is concerned, she added that investigators have since removed the tour bus from the accident scene in Cane Garden Bay and secured it in preparation for inspection.

In the meantime, it is reported that a total of 20 tourists were traveling in the ill-fated bus on Sunday when the accident occurred around 11:am.

The tourists were all passengers on the cruise ship Celebrity Summit which was anchored at the cruise pier in Road Town at the time.

  8. We just got off the Summit and had an aft 11 and wouldn't book it again. It was very loud all day and into the night and lots of soot on the balcony. The movies are loud and played 3 nights. Maybe it was just the crowd on this ship but they were out back until 2 or 3 in the morning screaming. We loved our sweet sixteen balcony...just saying

    Gail

We noticed the rooms above the Sunset Bar in the Aft, I would not book those either, music and crowd late in the night.

  9. Celebrity Cruises said two of its passengers on the Celebrity Summit were killed in Tortola, British Virgin Islands, on Dec. 6 in a bus accident that also injured 16 other people, two critically.

“Our ship’s captain and others have gone to the hospital in order to respond to this terrible incident, and our response is being coordinated with local officials and our Miami headquarters,” Celebrity said in a statement.

According to cruise line, the passengers did not purchase the tour from Celebrity Cruises.

  11. We're doing Silver Moon in Barbados week after next! Was it as good as I hear it is? I'm not a fan of snorkeling, but I love the idea of just being in the beautiful Caribbean water on a cat. Now just crossing our fingers for good weather!

    Enjoy St. Thomas tomorrow!

We will be on the new Silver Moon in 10 days for the 3rd time, you will enjoy!

  12. Hi.

We are staying post cruise at the Embassy Suites. Check in time is 4pm. Does anyone have suggestions as to what to do with our luggage until then? We would really just like to go straight to the hotel and hope they will hold our luggage while we swim in the pool and relax until the room is ready.

If the hotel is not agreeable to this idea what else could we do with limited funds. (assuming losses in the ship's casino)

    Thanks

They will hold your luggage and give you a receipt as the other posters stated, You can use the Pool area or go to the beach, Embassy has an attendant down there with free chairs and umbrella's.

  13. What kinds of white wine do they have? Interested in Pouilly-Fuisse

Buy your wine in San Juan before you cruise, the shop in the terminal has a very poor selection of wines and prices were high. we are avid Wine drinkers and were not familiar with most of the brand labels.

    No Pouilly-Fuisse.
