I am so sorry that I missed her! I was on holiday in Puerto Vallarta for 5 days and just left Monday. What a disappointment! That being said I was lucky to see her twice over the years. Once in 2002 just before her christening and another in 2004 in Barbados. Sadly never had the opportunity to sail on her due to time constraints.

I am curious is immigration actually inspecting and stamping all the passengers passports in the countries requiring them? I have generally only had mine inspected and stamped when flying in with one exception on the Astoria sailing from Poole into Wismar, Germany in 2019 There they looked through it, had a few questions, stamped it and sent me on my way.

Just booked 7 days in Alaska on her for the 31st of May. Will be almost 19 years since I was last on her.

That is actually the Global Dream number one in the photo. Global Dream number two supposedly already been scrapped and the machinery among other things has been sold off.

Thanks so much! I am taking 1 suit and 2 sport coats instead of hauling the dinner jacket. Taking Spirit Airlines to Fort Lauderdale unfortunately so I have to watch every ounce. 😁

Just curious.....how dressy was this trip? I am on her this Saturday and have yet to pack. Figured I would leave the dinner jacket at home this trip as I have been hearing RCI is on par with Carnival these days. And believe me my last cruise with them on the Radiance a month ago was a free for all!

It is more or less a no go. The former Maasdam has already been sold and renamed Renaissance. She is currently sailing for Malta for what I assume is the start of her refit for CFC.

Still waiting on mine from the Konigsdam in March too. I can not imagine it would take this long to manufacture and ship them.

It was all over on the outside decks usually in the evening's on my Labour Day cruise on the Carnival Radiance 2 weeks ago. I spoke to one lady that was smoking it and asked how she got away with getting it onboard. She replied with basically where there is a will there is a way and she hid it on herself with a smile. I was NOT asking where though!

I just came off of her last Friday. They did have the standard production shows which were good. There was a comedian too. I didn't do much else but I know the cruise staff was very busy with different events around the ship like the white party, bingo, etc.

Just came off of the Radiance a few hours ago. It was a free for all on clothing. I really didn't see anyone dressed up at all. Quite a few looked like they came from the pool or rolled out of bed and into the dining room.

Wasn't that supposed to have happened something like a decade ago? I recall reading somewhere some years back that there was this very proposal. However it seems to have become lost along the way. It would be nice to see all the P&O ships (Along with Cunard) registered in the UK again.

I am rather peeved with Princess right now. They have yet to cancel my booking or even send the supposed email about it to either me or my travel agent. She said she found out late last night but didn't have the details yet. Thank you so much cruise critic! I just wonder why they are not offering any of the other Diamond Princess sailings in January and just the Discovery Princess instead.

Thank God for cruise critic! This was the first I knew of this. I am sooooo disappointed I was really looking forward to the Diamond Princess and the different ports but I guess it is not in the cards sadly. Off to the Discovery Princess it is! 🙁

Thank you everyone for the information! It was most helpful. I was just trying to get a price more in the range of the very rare I know no single supplement on up to 150 percent or so. I will most definitely keep an eye on the cruise and wait until it is a bit closer in for it. I may bite the bullet and pay the 200 percent anyway if it doesn't come down in price as it is such a fantastic itinerary.

I wish I still lived there! (Hopefully moving back next year) I would have made the trip down to see either of them.

I have never sailed with Norwegian (was supposed to in the fall of 2003 on the Norway but the boiler explosion happened) And was trying to see if they ever sell singles for less than the 200 percent occupancy rate. I know they have some studio cabins on some ships but was looking specifically at the Jewel out of Panama and she doesn't seem to have any. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Nathan

I would love to do one of these cruises but NCL seems a little steep for a single. I looked into it and they want 200 percent occupancy unfortunately. Will have to keep my eye out for a sale or something I guess.

I had 2 tubes in my cabin on the Grand Princess in late April. Probably just running low.

I WAS going to place a booking on the 4 day Vancouver to Los Angeles cruise in September in addition to the one I am doing on the Diamond Princess a few weeks later but shockingly the price jumped by 100 dollars a person with this so called "sale" I will wait till it is over and then decide. 🙁

I was booked on the original sailing and am a little disappointed but at the same time excited to be on the Rotterdam in Rotterdam for the official 150th Anniversary. It is what it is and hey 2 more days for the same price!

I took advantage of it today and am using them for my Diamond Princess cruise from San Diego in October along with a 4 day trip to Cozumel that only cost 95 dollars but 165 in tax. Too goot to pass up! Just hope they drop the covid test to reenter the USA by then though.

I was hoping to do the July 1st sailing myself. I did a dummy booking on the morning of the 4th just to see what the total would be and had planned on going to my travel agent the next day. By that afternoon all the sailings were gone. My travel agent was not able to figure it out but he told me to call Cunard directly. The lady there was able to get me a waitlist booking for every grade of inside cabin and I am currently according to her as of last Thursday number 1 on the waitlist. She said it could be a problem with the head office in the UK.
